I know you are Liverpool fan and it means you also hate Man United. But I agree with you, Community Shield means nothing. David Moyes won Community Shield for Man United in his early season as the coach but got bad results in every competition after that. So, we should watch their first game of Premier League before judging their performance.

Yup, I agree. But not for Mourinho this year. He needed to win it for a variety of reasons. But mostly he needed to win it to prove himself as the right manager for United especially after failing miserably last season at Chelsea. He needed to win it because United has been on the losing end for 3 boring years. So winning any trophy would be welcome with the new manager. He needed to win it to kick start United's season in a good light.
Imagine if they lost. The media would have a field day questioning if Mourinho is the right guy for the job, etc, etc.
As far as I can recall, winning the community shield is not really a big deal. David moyes won the community shield as well but his performance was bad so Im eager to see their performance in the league games, Im not gonna put a high expectation on them as I dont really trust that mourinho could do it
This MU promise. I think that they will won this year PL, with Ibrahimovic and Rooney, and with Mourinho plus with Pogba..They are strong. I can wait till PL start

I think it still means, because this is against the Premier League champions. also a good start for Mourinho and Ibrahimovic.
A lucky start more likely as I was expecting the team to be more aggresive on this game but instead they keep on passing the ball across the field which makes me think that they are not doing anything new at all just some minor improvement to their last strategy and I doubt that if they are going to win the league

just because the community shield held in pre-season dates doesn't mean the trophy are mean nothing , it's could determine a final test how success and how good a club prepared to come to a long competition like premier league. manchester united are shows their class by win this. congratulation united!I agree and for a new manager coming into the club, he would want to win the community shield to give him and his team confidence going into the Premier League season. Also gives a chance to new signings to empress there manager and Ibrahimovic sure did that even though it did look offside. Every team wants to win trophy's even though it is the community shield. Leicester are starting to show some bad result.
They keep losing most of the game however I dont really see them as showing some bad result. They need some more time and that is all, as long as they still have mahrez and vardy on the squad, they will be able to turn the table of the league once it has started so there is still some hope for leicester

Nice start for Mourinho before the league start, at least this win give a motivation for all players to give their best on the real League. Hope the combination old players like Ibra, Rooney and young players like Lingaard, Martial, Rashford will work as expected.

Ibrahimovic did score a winning for Manchester United. But his MU team mates are kinda like his Swedish teammates , Ibrahimovic couldn't fit the way they play. They don't have the speed and pass accuracy. He gone almost invisible until the last few minutes , Mourinho have to figure a way to let he fit in before the season start next week. And that was quite a boring match really , Leicester are starting to show some bad result.
The game seems to be dominated by manchester united, they has the possesion however okazaki almost score with a header. 30 minutes has passed and yet we havent see any goals at all and united is displaying boring match as usual, I cant really tell the difference between LVG and mourinho right now because the game is still boring
