What I like about the Premier League is that the teams are so close to each other at the top.
It seems to be the only exciting league in terms of who is going to win the title at the end.
Bundeslia the end is obvious.Ligue 1 the same thing. La Liga is always Barca or Real.
Ok Serie A is also pretty interesting at the moment. But before that Juventus had been champion 4 times in a row.
I think it's because of the TV money with Sky, all the teams in the PL get around 100 million from Sky Sports so even the less fashionable (crappy) teams are now able to compete financially to some extent.
In the long run though it's Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea & Liverpool with the real power. Big players don't often join lesser teams.
If a team like Southampton or Leicester do well occasionally the big teams will steal their best players, a bit like Dortmund losing their best guys to Bayern.
I think you touch a key point there. It's not just about the money, since it's more and more often that we see even average teams getting huge investors, but if they are not top ranked teams with history some players will just refuse to go there and play, even when they are payed a lot.
And even on those top teams you mentioned, some very big players still only agree to go to United or Chelsea.
