This Euro Qualification footballs are boring. You do not have any clue about the teams. The national teams take their players back and the result is one week no football in EPL. I hate this gap in Premier League for international football.

It's not just Euro Qualification, some matches are still worth a while, compared to when you get stuck with CAF qualifiers all week long.

I think the most painful part of the international break is always when the national teams takes players, some are probably going to return their respectively clubs injured.

But sadly we cannot do any thing just wait for next round as its already many times discussed no one want to prefer clubs instead of country so this bore wait is going to end in next few days. just  wait with patience.

They should definitely sign a Center Back but I wonder what are their options for this position. We are already in September and most of the key players have already signed at their clubs.

There is no possibility of that until the next transfer window in January. The EPL closes their summer window early so it clashes with the beginning of the season, while other leagues like the Spanish league leaves it open for a few more weeks into the season. But even that is closed now. City would need to wait for January to strengthen their squad, or look into their your team.

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson believes Alisson Becker deserves the FIFA Best Goalkeeper award. Following a successful season with Liverpool and Brazil.

Should this even be debated, this category in my opinion doesn't need any contest. He (Alisson) was far better than any goalkeeper be it in and outside Europe during the 2018/2019 season. I was even surprise when he didn't make the top3 for UEFA award alongside his team mate Van dijk.

I won't be surprised though if he get robbed just as Giroud got robbed by hazard for the Europa award. Ronaldo robbed Bernardo Silva etc. Award this days are just popularity contest, lacking value in them. I'm a fan of Hazard and Ronaldo but the players robbed were more deserving.

Aymeric Laporte's injury makes Josep Guardiola think of buying a new player. Josep Guardiola is likely to find a new recruit to patch up Laporte's position as a central defender. Laporte is expected to be absent for a long time due to a knee injury, when Manchester City meet Brighton on Saturday (8/31/2019)

That a huge period for City without having Laporte in their defensive line.

Alisson underwent the 2018/19 season with great success. Although Liverpool failed to win the English League, but managed to win the Champions League and European Super Cup

  • Lingard is crap, he would never be near a Sir Alex Ferguson team from the past.

You are right, I also think that.
If we go back to the past in the time of Ferguson. Lingard will definitely not be used, because remembering Ferguson's game is extraordinary. But unfortunately, this is done by OLE. I do not blame Ole, he is a coach who must be respected by his decision.

Ole doesn’t play Matic because he’s not fast enough for his system, and he tends to slow the team down whenever he’s playing. I’m not sure why the club retained him for this season, they should have sold him and brought Bruno instead as it’s evident we needed a strong midfielder. @iMark Lingard gets to play because he’s a British player and has graduated from the club academy, and Ole is his big admirer so until we get a new coach we’ll see lot of game time for Lingard.

  • Maybe he should play Matic & Ole should change his style, it’s not working atm.

Maybe they don't have the money, and some contracts details would cost them some money if they sold him?

I heard that the current MU owner really wants to get as many profits as possible in terms of buying/selling players, so probably they don't want to sell somebody and buy another that has no guarantee will perform as good as before. Like Pogba, for example.

Nemanja Matic has been short of playing at Manchester United this season. Matic stressed that there was no problem with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
MU has played four matches in the English League this season. Matic inhabits the bench a lot, he once became a substitute when Manchester United offset Southampton 1-1.
Matic was reportedly by British media that they were getting hot because they didn't get a chance to play. Although rumored to be leaving Old Trafford, he remained until the transfer window closed.

whereas Nemanja Matic became Manchester United's mainstay last season. It is really a shame if he has to be on the bench.
But also we have to respect the coach's decision, maybe there is a strategy that wants to be done without Nemanja Matic in it.
Still confused why Solskjaer who always plays Jesse Lingard, even though he did not provide big contrubution to the team. the assists he gave during the last 3 seasons are still inferior to Adam Johnson, even though he's been in prison for 3 years lol. Man utd still need a lot of star players, to strengthen the squad of his team.

Matic probably doesn't fit Solskjaer's style of play and that's the reason why he isn't getting quality playing time, I expected nemanjer matic to leave the team in this just concluded transfer window, but I think united were unwilling to sell him as they needed more backup players in case of injuries or suspensions.

Matic fits into the Mourinho kind of play, usually more defensive than not, that's why Jose spent the amount he did to acquire his signature, Solskjaer plays rather differently and is more attacking, matic would need to be patient to see if his time comes and if it doesn't, he should push for a move in January.

I must admit that the manchester city army was indeed great and that has been proven. They are hard to beat if in the English league, but as you say they are at UCL they are only able to compete in the last 16/8. The rest they do not have the mentality now for UCL.
I don't think that Manchester City will be different in the Champions League, they seem to be more focused on UCL than EPL, their team is very solid and they have a coach who has experience in winning the UCL trophy.. even Michael Owen predicts that Man City will be the UCL 2019/20 champions.

EPL this season is Liverpool's time. They were as unstoppable in the last few games and managed to be at the top of the current English League standings by collecting 12 points.
The Manchester City team been solid or the coach level of experience in terms of UCL tournament doesn't justify their performance to be off the hook in the upcoming UCL if they don't do the right preparation for the game because every other clubs also want to be the winner of the trophy.

If you say the coach's experience, of course that's true. But the player is playing. It is definitely needed by players who play a lot in the champions league. The EPL and UCL surge are very different, really hoping Manchester City this season can prove that. Because seeing the previous season, they did not have the mentality for the champions league.

Klopp's training is tiresome, which is why his team can do almost 60 minutes full of high-press for each match. I think he already learns how to fully utilize his team energy and make sure not to burn them out. Last season is good, and if there's no injury, I think the rotation could be better.

I'd love to see whether Liverpool also wants to win the Carabao cup or not this season. That will make their schedule full of matches.
They will surely have to give up on Carabao. I guess they will try to field mostly young players for that tournament. EPL demands a lot of strength (both physically and mentally) and given that there are more tournaments for English teams than the other 5 top leagues. It's going to be very challenging for them even if most of their players don't get injured.

They have to play Club World Cup, Champions League, FA, English Premier League and then Carabao. Remember most of Liverpool's players didn't get enough rest because of other continental tournaments like African Cup of Nations, COPA America, UEFA Nations League of which some of them even reached the Finals

I think the big teams prioritise the PL & the CL, it’s difficult to compete & try to win the domestic cups too. Only really Man City have a big enough squad to go for everything.

Manchester City does have a complete army. I believe that Man City in the domestic league is very impressive, but in the Champions League they don't have the mental strength to do it. It has been proven, they are not able to compete in the champions league.

Their team is absolutely complete in all positions.
In my opinion Manchester City lacks of European football culture. If they add this variable to their play style then they are be a challenger for the CL title.

Can you please explain - what exactly do you mean by "adding European football culture to their play style"?
