Manchester city where not going to give Liverpool a bragging rights but what ever they did the title is lost and won. An exciting game from a neutral point though.
Manchester City expectations should mainly be on Champions league games, are they really battling to maintain the 2nd spot in English Premier league?  Because Champions League isn't for them next season as they are on penalty for playing CL in next tournament.

It was honestly a weird game when you look at the score, however if you watched the game you know how much City has managed to dominate the game, they were awesome from the first moment and they were all doing amazing team work together as well, it was like watching a well oiled machine in work. Liverpool on the other hand knew that they were champions, so they didn't really see a big reason to keep working hard and winning games, they knew that they still had a chance to break that 100 point record but even if they don't, they are still champions. So at the end of the game it was a match between a team who didn't cared and were champions anyway versus a team who wanted to be champions but failed so they wanted revenge, pretty expectable result if you ask me.

For tomorrow games better to think twice before placing your bets, almost all matches are unpredictable and bad surprises most likely will occur in one or most of them.
Before I had thought that the bigger team would win, but indeed this was a bad day for those who had bet with a team that was sure they would win, but yes, in football it was difficult to guess, like Chelsea would lose to Westham and this was true. Damn right from those four matches.

Sorry for your losses and I hope you recover fast but I blame you a little bit for Liverpool. If you see in this topic barely everyone is alerting about Liverpool defeat and City rocking in the previous games. For the other matches, it was a disappointment for everyone and I am pretty sure most people lost their bets in that bad day.

You are not the only one who feel bad for those matches. I did place bet for Totenham and Chelsea but on the other side I won a bet on Manchester City. I was so sure that City will win as I think that Liverpool would not force themselves to win as they get the title already. The lost of Chelsea gives a good chance for Manchester United, only 2 points gap now (3 points to Leicester) and it will be so interesting who will finish on 3rd and 4th at the end of the season. Will Wolves give us a big surprise as they are now at the same points as MU?

basically, i am a fan of Everton, but will be happy to see Wolves on spot 4 at the end of the season, it will be a signal that big 6 on Premier league football is going down, since Leicester is already in, and Wolves is there, both to replace Arsenal and Tottenham, this season, but most probably not just this season, since big name is coming back to Premier league - Leeds united, can't wait to see them in Premier, Newcastle will be more than one mediocre team with new owners, and Gunners will probably stay in the middle of the tables next season, while Tottenham could be in upper part, but will be hard for them to include themselvs within top teams

Yesterday's game made me sad, it definitely wasn't a good week for me in the premier league:

Manchester City 4 - 0 Liverpool FC

Sheffield United 3 - 1 Tottenham

West Ham 3 - 2 Chelsea

Everton FC 2 - 1 Leicester City

 Angry

it really was a very bad week for me and with very unpleasant surprises

Liverpool got humbled last night. I think next season the league will be a lot closer. Would be nice if Liverpool played City very early on. Did anyone think the disallowed goal in the Spurs game should have stood? Didn't look like it hit his hand to me.

I'm beginning to think that this is perhaps a fixed match, I just can't believe that Liverpool won't reply to a 4 goals deficit, their defense was totally in shambles, conceding a penalty, doing an own goal and show lackadaisical attitude in marking city players, on a good day Alison would have saved the 5th goal that was disallowed, something might be fishy about this game

Dear god, Shut up. Why do idiots always complain about fixed matches here? Did you bet on Liverpool to win by any chance? Do you really think someone successfully managed to convince the entire Liverpool squad to throw the game for some unbeknownst reason? They just got beat by a much better team on the night. Liverpool have nothing to play for now really so maybe that contributed but it's not like City aren't a great side. I expected them to win just not by that margin.

I did expect Liverpool to lose yesterday as there is no real motivation for them to play at their top level because they are already Premier League Champions this year. However I never thought that they would lose with 4 goals difference,I was expecting a good fight and maybe a 2-1 score for Manchester City but that kind of loss for Liverpool.

Ouch, yesterday hurt. I said before the game that I would like a dominant Liverpool performance and during the first 20 minutes or so I thought we will be winning. After that City really upped their game and punished every little mistake we did.

Not really the way you want your first game as champions to go, but we'll get them for it next season. Fair play to them, they are a great team. That's why winning this title so early felt so good after all.

Spurs has just been a team clinging on for dear life, I believe in Jose morinho, I think he just want to see out the season and then return for next season spurs is really going to kick into shape next season and I don't see them not doing well, as for seeing out the season they haven't been doing that all too well, last match against Sheffield united was a disgrace, -well not a disgrace this season check the two teams position-, for me Sheffield united has been one of the revelations of this season league,

You know, the sportsbooks odds did show that Spurs and Sheffield were equal in odds, even though I felt after our last game and with Harry Kane back we should have been clear favorites but seems like they knew everything.

I am not even going to say anything about VAR,,, I am just glad Kane is back and scoring. Let us hope we do something great with Champions League or that we can somehow get 5th place and City out, Spurs in.

Manchester City imo should be the team not fully motivated for this game, they have their opportunity in the Fa cup and ucl to make something out of their season, they can play the rest of their epl games knowing they have to stay injury free and fit to try and win two more trophies. Liverpool have no other tournament to challenge for, so they have to perform in the epl, and they wanted to tonight, but City were better.
Maybe Manchester City just wants to prove that they are still able to beat Liverpool with a very large score I think this is motivated also for matches in other competitions such as the FA and UCL.
Manchester city still has a big chance in the FA, maybe they will win this season and for UCL there are still big challenges like other big teams in Europe so that the city will continue to fight for the UCL trophy this season.

I also think the same that Manchester City wants to prove capable of beating Liverpool, and that Manchester City is capable of
winning with a score of 4-0. This is evidence of strong motivation from Manchester City, even though Liverpool use the main team.
Actually I was surprised by the results of this match, even though I predicted Liverpool would win the match. So I lost a lot with
Liverpool betting. But I admit that Manchester City did play well, especially Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne playing extraordinary,
defense Liverpool is overwhelmed.

The only one that wants to win this game is Klopp and not the rest of the team. He might want to win in this game to proof that they could beat City on their own .Liverpool clearly so much better before they won the league. I get that they are still in celebration mood after they win and some player might want to take some rest after they win  Smiley

Both of them lost because Manchester City was very on fire in this match or maybe Liverpool no longer chase to win because they have become champions.

I know right, I chose Tottenham because of the odds so I thought it could be easy  Tongue

Liverpool no longer chase to win because they have become champions

Klopp still does but not the players and it seems some player performed poorly

Liverpool lost to a better City team today, it's not about if they had anything to lose or "yeah they already are champions", Klopp wants to win all the remaining games and prolly break the record of hundred points held by City and you can see that with his team selection tonight.

Nice analysis. Indeed City has almost nothing to lose in EPL but they performed way better than Liverpool.
If Liverpool will continue playing like that then 100 pts won't be easy vs opponents like Chelsea, Arsenal, +/- Burnley and Newcastle..

I wouldn't say tonight is an epic one but it was full of fascinating excitements, Totenham was trounced by 3 good goals from lowly Sheffield, while Liverpool were humbled by Manchester city. I can understand that Liverpool title run is wrapped up and there is nothing left to play for, but getting rounded 4 unreplied goals is alot.

Before the lock down, there has been speculation over Liverpool's performance, is it tireness or decline ? Time will tell. Meanwhile for Jose, will Spurs buy their way out of trouble ? the connection with Mourinho seems to be very inconsistent. A very scintillating football match tonight!!!

Weird games and epic fail with Sheffield punching Tottenham with 3 goals to 1!
And Liverpool lol! Receiving 3 goals in the first half!! 3 goals in barely 20 minutes. Had to check the players to be sure he isn't playing with substituted ones. We expected City to win not to kick Liverpool butt!

I'm not sure anyone would've expected both results to end the way they did – Tottenham getting whipped by Sheffield United and then we have man city demolishing liverpool. Liverpool's performance today was simply below par.  I knew they had nothing to lose but then going 4 goals down is displeasing. Liverpool had some nice opportunities to take some back but couldn't convert any chances. Good thing the last goal by mahrez  was disallowed. Overall, a bad performance by the champions.
