Pep Guardiola is struggling at Man City because he does not have the right type of players to carry out his tactics, according to Sky Sports’ Spanish football expert Guillem Balague. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/12087/10731321/pep-guardiola-doesnt-have-the-players-to-do-what-he-wants-to-do-at-man-city-says-guillem-balague

I don't buy this crap, he underestimated the Premier League, that's it.

Not having the players he needs, especially in the defense is only part of the problem.  The EPL is indeed really tough compared to La Liga and the Bundesliga.  I think he didn't expect it to be this tough and didn't adapt fast enough.  But I'm optimistic for City next season.  Pep may be overrated but he's still one of the best.
i don't think it's a defense problem because they are not letting the opponent's shoot many shots on the goal but the goalkeeper is the one whom flopping so hard as he didn't have many saves for the shots that he was getting so i think they better bring another goalkeeper if they want to stzy on the competition as Bravo performance in the Premier League is too poor.

Waiting for next lose for Pep.

Pep is a very intelligent coach but he underestimated EPL!!

Pep already spent more that 250 mill in just one transfer, and people are still screaming that he needs to buy more players! Majority of pundits (including SAF) agreed that Man city were the major title contenders this season. Conte admitted that if he was given the same settings as Pep on arrival, his team will be in pole position then. All these predictions were happening in first few weeks of EPL action. Pep has always stated that he is happy with his players (until he started losing). The man is intelligent and but his underestimation of EPL is taking its toll on his system.

in a few days, the match Manchester City Vs. Tottenham Hotspur will start. This is a great game. I thought I would very much betting is going to happen in this match. in fact, I am also interested to participate in this game, because this will be an exciting match.
This season is not a good season for Pep, upcoming opponents is not a team that can easily be defeated, their opponents are the only team that can beat the top standings of the Premier League at the moment.

This is a great opportunity for pep to show that he has the skill to manage manchester city in premier league however I doubt that it will be easy for him to win this game. If he could get a draw from this game, I think that it is a great result as well however the draw result might get him criticized as well

This is EPL, the hardest league in the world. More posession more control more chances more shots Huh Haha epl does not give a damn. Where are the Pep's s lawyers today who defend him day and night?  The philosophy is getting exposed again. LVG 2 seasons nothing more.

Not taking away from Pep, but yeah it looks like the EPL is more difficult than he's used to.  Here's a thought.  Would it then mean Mourinho is better than Pep as a manager?  Please discuss.  Wink

Bot Mourinho and Pep are good manager, but yeah premier league this season is really tough for all manager. All best manager gather on this league and compete. I think Manchester City can give another chance for Pep on the next season. The last lose on Manchester City is really big though, lose 4-0 by Everton. I don't know what will Pep do, but Pep ever said that maybe he will retire this season.

Huh?  Can you give a link of where you got that info from?  That's a load of bollocks if you ask me whoever wrote that story.  Then again you could be making it up yourself.  Afaik, Pep said he could retire after his stint at Man City.  He said nothing more after that.  The idea of him retiring after one season in the EPL is just dumb.

My opinion?  No.  He's still an excellent manager and coach and he knows a lot about the game and isn't scared to experiment.  But he still needs to adapt and he needs to get in new players.  If I was Pep, I'd sell all my players in the defense.  They all suck.  Otamendi, Zabaleta, Kolarov, Clichy, Sagna and even John Stones.  They make so many mistakes.  I don't know why that is, maybe they don't get Pep's system.

Beside all the result, i'm agree with you Pep still an excellent manager and coach, but City management should giving Pep a warning and a new target, what target should reach for this season, I think is quite hard for City to still have a change chance win the EPL Thropy, maybe the best target for now is ticket to play in Champion league next season. City need new player to improve they games or don't use player who always make a mistake in the match, and giving trust to backup players to play.

Pep Vs. Pelegrini
Man city's team is decent, I mean they have spent over 500 million over the last 5 seasons, so how could it not be? Anyway Pep is pushing tactics that don't fit the team, making everything overly complicated that half the time the players look lost or hesitant, Bravo is being blamed but really he's the last line of defence, constantly exposed - sure he's made some mistakes, but most of the time it's the lack of an organised back line that's the cause. Midfield offering little to no protection and while Aguero is world class in many ways, a complete pressing forward he is not.

Pep won't change, city will just have to suffer through it until Pep heads to PSG/Qatar or China.

The silly thing is, Pep is actually a decent manager but just doesn't seem to know when to settle on a good thing and just do small tweaks.

City should have stuck with Pellegrini.

Actually im not a follower to FA cup but there is not much match today for gambling. So i take a look for FA cup. Here is my opinion;

My first bet for Southampton coz odds are down. So many people play for Southampton. I guess they will win.

Here is Southampton's odds;

Second bet for Newcastle. They play good at their home and Birmingham not good when they away. I believe history will repeat itself.

And last match. Plymouth-Liverpool. Im afraid this match so i will not bet for this match Smiley But i believe this match will end Under 2,5.

Both Manchester City and Tottenham Hot spurs are matched equally in my opinion.
They both have goal scorers in Sergio Agüero, Kevin De Bruyne and Yaya Touré for the City side and
Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Danny Rose and Christian Erksen for the Spurs side.
So this one will be hard to judge on who will come out on top but you know there will be alot of balls flying in to the net. Wink
Expect over 4.5 goals for this match. Grin

I am not following FA Cup very well but lets make a parlay of these three games.
- Liverpool
- Newcastel United
- Southampton

Total odds will be @2.78. I have a feeling that those three team will be able to beat their opponents today.

If looking at the statistically should your parlay can become an easy win. I am interested to make a parlay like you, but I want to get bigger odds on Liverpool match. I'm sure the match will be over 2.5 goals. Newcastle also seems could be over 2.5 goals. because statistical goals when Newcastle playing at home with 2.2 goals scored on average per home game.

Southampton will face Norwich in  1/32-finals of the FA Cup the first leg ended with a score of 2-2 ,Southampton have the advantage so that make them favorite to win this game but they will be playing against Leicester City in League and that is an important game but they could handled as Leicester will be playing without their major stars but in this game Norwich will be a threat as they do not have much to lose so they will be going offensive so i'm going with both teams scoring in this game.

Southampton is currently under pressure after losing the previous FA match. Also in the premier league, they have not been performing well in the recent few matches. I think they have an uphill task against Norwich who have nothing to lose and also Leicester whose performance is dismissal in the premier league. Leicester will be looking forward to redeem their glory and avoid relegation just after being crowned champions.

PEP's system :

PLAN A : "helllo guys , lets run and move on the pitch all the 90 minutes. try to hold the ball as much as you can (aka : pass it !!!) dont you dare losing it !!!
i hope we will score first. if not , we are f....d !

PLAN B : 'who the f....k needs that ?! "

Pep's high defence line = a disaster ! cos most of the top defenders are not even used to do that. anyways 90% of the defenders are slow compared to the opponents' team attackers , and wont get back in time for the counters.
Pep's passing system is one and only ! and during the game players may change positions and substitute each other , but , the style of the game is one ! pass pass pass...maybe now cross the ball ? and again.....
Pep's system is good ! i am not saying it is not !! because players get to understand the game more , they get more involved in each attack. BUT it's also unstable and risky when you lose the ball to your opponent.

SOLUTION ? Pep needs a PLAN B

Basically pep might be a good manager but he is overrated guys.  That barca team he managed was maybe the best club team in the history of football anyone would have been highly succesful with those players all in form.  The spainish players from that team even showed the domination on the international stage around that time - this was without messi or pep.

The decision to replace joe hart hasn't worked out, that replacement guy has let in a few soft goals that joe hart would save.

I think between Pep and Mou they still need to adapt to each of their club. It was not easy to adapt to the new club and I think it takes time. I think both of them will still be given the opportunity to bring each club to see them is a professional coach who has brought the club into a winner, so between Pep and Mou both are equally good and expert. But it does require time and have to think hard in order to put the player in the right position. But it is also true competition in the Premier League is very difficult, only the coach knows the team is able to lead well.

Plymouth has a good defensive line. In short, Liverpool seems to have a hard time finding goals. I have a Liverpool that does not go well in the league. Plymouth will play a game on defense completely if it finds a goal I can try to find the contest in short I can say this match is critical. If you find the goal is difficult Liverpool.
