I read that they are investigating criminal price manipulations over Bitcoin. Manipulation of prices is really possible ? This happened before ?

It is possible to manipulate the reason that there is no control in this market. Needless to say, this situation requires a lot of capital to make it happen, but when a group of large investors come together this is not possible. For that reason, I think that you should not make serious investments unless you have enough knowledge and experience.

It could probably happen as they set the prices and we don't know what actually is going on in the market exchange. As of today heard the same investigation so it might have happened or there might be a probable cause for doing so.

could be because bitcoin prices are strongly influenced by supply and demands. when demands increase then price will increase. and that make demands could increase is the factor of people who buy increases as well. if the opposite happens, then the price will fall.

Your thinking may be true but I remain confident in my decision to invest and hold my assets for the long term. I do not care if the price can be manipulated. which I see the growth of crypto enthusiasts every year has increased.

Many people claim that bitcoin prices are from manipulation, but I'm sure that what happens with bitcoin is a natural thing because bitcoin prices in different markets are the same or not so different.

in cryptocurrencies due decentraization the manipulation of prices is very easy to do, people with a huge amount of bitcoin can make prices go up or down easy.

It's even worse, coins that pay to get listed on certain exchanges just pay an additional fee and get trading assistance from these exchanges.
They will keep the price and volume up for you as long as you pay them.

At present, there is no conclusive evidence that large investors are manipulating the price. Nevertheless, lately there are more rumors about one trader who has practically unlimited means and due to this can effectively manipulate the price of bitcoin.

I don't think that has happened before. I say that because for one to control the price point of Bitcoin, then they should have, in their holdings, a very massive amount of Bitcoin, and that in itself is quite impossible to pull off since many people have already hoarding and holding their Bitcoins in the recent years knowing the trend that Bitcoin follows, especially in the past previous years. Most people who have Bitcoins in their holdings don't intend to get rid off it until such time when it reaches its peak value per year. I think most of the things that somehow affect the value of Bitcoin are propaganda because even news somehow have a hand to convince people to support cryptocurrecies or not.

I am sure that many large players in the cryptocurrency market manipulate the price of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. It is profitable for them to manage prices up and down. Having 1000 or more bitcoins manipulation by 5-10% brings them 500 000 or more thousand dollars. It is possible for them and small money, but they do it every day. How many of these deals do you think they can make per month??? 30-50? This can bring them 15-25 million dollars a month. That's a lot of money. So don't underestimate the whales in the market. They have a lot of power.

Basically, if you really have a big volume of coin you might affect the price of the coin in the market. I believe that it is not manipulation but jist a short term effect on the coin's value. Surely in no time tge price will eventually recover and continue to go on it's way. Changes might happen but no really haa the full control over it.
Its not, no one can manipulate it, price of it depends on its demand. Even government cant manipulate it. Maybe the information that you get was wrong. Because bitcoin was decentralized. If there is someone who can manipulate the price I think the price will not go that down this time. Because they will surely want it to increase. And people wont let that happen, because many investors will lose their interest as they found out that someone was controlling the price of it.

yes bitcoin is very vulnerable to abuse because bitcoin is very difficult to monitor by the government and can not predict its usage, and that is also the reason some countries banned the circulation of bitcoin because it is often used as a means of payment for a crime.

it's common in the crypto market. the price increases and it happens suddenly. I was surprised to see the market conditions that experienced an increase and decline in prices.
Yeah it is possible and exists here in this market. Manipulation is very bad for the growth of bitcoin, because the price is according to the well of big investors, and this thing is big disaster for new and small investors. I am waiting for the time when price manipulation will be controlled and the market will be fair and according to the market cap and not according to manipulators.

I'm thinking that some of big investors and holders can affect the price but this is not going on everyday and I think that the price is not under somebody's thin control system. None of the guys can not control the market in every step that it takes.

The cryptocurrency is different from the stock market. The major shareholders need additional supervision and review, and the cryptocurrency cannot be supervised by the government because of its occultity and decentralization!
A small number of people holding a lot of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are easy to make a lot of buying and selling in the market, causing price fluctuations, manipulating the market of cryptocurrencies!

Recent bitcoin manipulation as well as crypto coins has always been the topic of many people's comments. If the national currency has a form of money laundering, bitcoins and crypto are widely seen as manipulating prices in non- France is taking advantage of bitcoin

If there is a Whale that wants to lower the bitcoin value, it will only release enough bitcoin in its ownership to the market once there is enough price to be affected and down. He will then sell and re-enter the market and buy more at a lower price and get ready to sell at a higher price resulting in more profits. Simply put is how price manipulation occurs.
Price manipulation can occur in bitcoin markets. This concept is done by the pope subtly.
It is good and appreciable to investigate such manipulation because it is not good for the future of bitcoin. The market cap will decrease due to non-investment. The demand will reduce and thus the price will never go up. It is very serious matter. Whales manipulate the market according to their wishes and this they are holding the whole market.

Bitcoin price manipulation is possible. But this can only be possible by the whales or those who hold a reasonable quantity of the coin. But I really do not know how such investigation is possible considering the fact that you are really not sure who the whales are. Moreover, there is no real proof or substantial evidence about this.
