No. The main reason is that the major pumps have already happened, from 1k to 2k and 2k to 4k, etc.

It is going to keep getting harder for us to double the price. And currently we are struggling to even keep up over $4k.

This is true with anything when it is overbought and btc is indeed overbought right now. People seem to be just going crazy every single day for some reason, buying when the price has already risen 30% in the day. A correction is going to come much bigger than the current one, imo. And that will slow down growth quite a bit.

I think that $10k is very very likely to be achieved by 2020 when the next halving comes, though. I'm still in bitcoin for the long run, for sure.

I'm not too sure that bitcoin prices can be up to 10K USD. Currently the bitcoin price is in the range of 4000 USD. So I expect maybe bitcoin prices will move at rates 5500 USD to 7000 USD. But the price is so much higher than it is today. The most important is the steady increase in the price of bitcoin every year so that we can all enjoy sustainable benefits.

There are really many members of this forum who love to predict how much is the price of Bitcoin in the next month, in the next year and in the next 5 or 10 years. Of course, we can be excited to have a peek into the future but unfortunately we ordinary humans are not gifted to know the future as it can upset the natural orders of things.

It is becoming pointless to be seeing so many threads asking the possible value of Bitcoin in the future. The best thing to do is to let history write itself. As nobody can be sure what can happen and exactly how things will happen, we might as well relax, drink some coffee and just continue with our lives. Happy Bitcoining, everyone!

and still i would like to say that if people want to get profit they should invest money in bitcoin because still there is good potential in price of bitcoin and hope that the price of bitcoin will continue increasing, therefore i would like to add that people have still good chances to increase their profit by hoing and investing money in bitcoin.

Yes, so far not many people expect the bitcoin price increase from 2016-2017 to more than 400%.
And if from some users who get big profits due to price increases it, of course this is accompanied by factor of luck and from the results of their patience.

All depends on the 2x hard fork in November.

If it goes well, there will be a lot of new positive topics next year for BTC and price over 10k is not a dream, in my humble opinion.

If it doesn't go well, price may be stuck 2000~3000 range for some time to test the confidence of the market.

It depends what's gonna with the NYA 2x fork.
These guys will definitely harm the network and therefore the price of Bitcoin.
They have no good intentions and give a damn about the community. Without replay protection getting implemented in their fork many people who have no idea what's going on, and there are a lot I'd guess, could lose their coins. This would result in anger, frustration and probably turning their backs to Bitcoin in the worst case.This would set us back for quite some while!
I will just wait and looks what's going to happen and then react. Predicting accurate prices is very difficult and almost impossible.Maybe we will be back to 2-3k, or even lower, being in another huge bear cycle, who knows. Thing is we don't know, nobody knows. Things can happen and change so fast with Bitcoin.

Ten thousands seem too much to me. There has been a little slowing down, and I think that only maintaining the actual prices would be a great success.

I would venture to say it can reach the 5000$ but not much more than that.

I dont think bitcoin price increase 10,000 dollars in the year of 2018 because that price is high and for sure they need two years to reach that. Maybe the year of 2019 the price will become 10,000 dollars so its better if you buy bitcoin and hold it for few years to make a lot of profit in the future. I think the possible price of bitcoin in the years of 2018 is 6000 to 8000 dollars because if the price hit 5000 dollarsfor sure many people sell their bitcoin so its hard to pump but for sure it will pump but slowly.

I believe Bitcoin is finally achieving the popularity and demand which it is entitled to. With various countries and mainstream media recognizing it, demand is increasing. Bitcoin is attracting big investors now due to the ROI its has to offer with minimal risk. This trend is most likely to continue next year as well. Price will definitely touch five figure by next year.

It feels good to speculate high but we also have to be realistic about it. The current run towards the $4,000 level was due to the recent SegWit thing and we are reaping it now. To get into the $10,000 level there has to be a big impetus to do so. Let's hope that soon within this year there can be a big rally catapulting Bitcoin in breaking the big $10K wall. In my view, it might not really be possible for this year but maybe in 2018 or towards the end of 2018.

once bitcoin scales up you'll see how fast the price goes up, did any of you ever dreamed about the price to rise so fast in matters of days from $2500 up to the current $4000 price? I knew of course that price going up was something inevitable but such a performance in such short time? this is a record in the history of mankind not only crypto's.

I think that it will not be difficult for bitcoin to reach $10,000 by 2018 as it could easily cross $5000 by this year end.But we would have to wait and see what happens in november as it is said that there would be another hard fork which bitcoin has to once again overcome and survive.if it does survive,then for sure,we could reach that price.By that time,bitcoin would have got legalized in more countries which would trigger the bitcoin price.

Well, bitcoin is always bullish, but you might now that it will always have some corrections like it happened two days ago, bitcoin touched $4,5 k and then retraced to $3,8k within 24 hours.
So yes, those corrections are always going to happen, but bitcoin will always go up because its price is based on speculation, and everybody wanna buy this coin.
So i predict a $6k or $8k by the beggining-mid of 2018

everything is possible as we know that bitcoin is not controlling by any one and if somehow bitcoin getting dump so hard, then i am sure that bitcoin price will be recover soon and will reach new high price. if bitcoin price can reach $5,xxx in this year then in 2018, we can see the new highest price and in that time, in out there, many people will be shocked to see the reality and they will regret because they don't follow us to invest in bitcoin.
