It's just that China holds so many bitcoins that they can affect the prices in a global scale.

maybe it is hard to admit, but China IS Bitcoin..so everything, what is related to Bitcoin is related to communistic country without human right situated somewhere near Russia and India:)) well played.

so what youre saying is, if china bails out on bitcoin entirely, we are screwed in price? lol.

but you know lets totally ignore all the us money that still makes up bitcoin to price point as well. we saw china`s exchange in the past saying they no longer want a part of bitcoin to manipulate some price points - and it still held.  Roll Eyes

Xialla has a good point there. Just look at who's controlling nearly all the hash power. Chinese miners are in the game to make money and I am sure that the Chinese exchanges will do everything to keep the price at a certain price level to please the Chinese mining farms as they are somehow connected to each other.
I dont think so that the price rise is over. I think the price rise will start soon. And that will be great for those who made an investment.
And we all hope that it will rise for a long time that will be good. So we can make some profit later in the future.

The price rise is not over at all, its just a point the bitcoin has reached, we just need to wait for the halving.
If the halving has been done the price will jump again to high numbers and the price rise will start again.
Do you think the value of bitcoin still rise after halving ends?
i think halving is started that's why we are experiencing that the value of bitcoin's is 430 plus..

It may drop after halving to find a new norm after the hype, but there never is a norm with btc so it is hard to tell.

Anything is possible. If all of us are expecting a pump before halving. Then the pump will not happen.

Maybe the pump will be smaller than we expect. Or there is very slow price rise. I like that.

It's understandable that the upcomming block halving makes people believe in the price going up significantly. But what if there was no upcomming block halving? Would you still think that the price would jump up?

China is about as communist as the Democratic Republic of Congo is a democracy.
And human rights are a western concept. We can't compel the whole world to think like us.

Now any country who wants to own a share of the great bitcoin scheme only has to do one thing: lower their electricity costs so that miners won't want to settle in China anymore but will have an incentive to come to them. In time either that will happen, either China will have to raise electricity costs. Every single person who's been to China will tell you that the internet is horribly slow there. Plus there's the great firewall, which brings uncertainty on top of it. Miners would like to leave China. They're only staying there because electricity costs are ridiculous. If bitcoin becomes bigger, governments will start to want a share. See what I mean?

The price will keep fluctuating around $400 until 1 or 2 weeks before halving,
Then "new paradigm"... some people will sell (panic),  some people will buy a lot (cheap, maybe).... and boom.

There's only 2 (50/50 %) possibilities : up or down.

Btc price will raise up to 1000... or maybe fall to 100, who knows.

considering that Chinese holidays are over i expect slow rise in price we are now on 400 again and i expect to be on 450 but next week and then we will see how it goes
why are we basing everything on Chinese these days ? Is bitcoin not a global currency or is it declared by satoshi that he is controlling it residing in China with their festivals ?

yeh rise is over now, might stay at 400$ for some time, but halving will change price for sure, it may double price of bitcoin
But halving is too far to change the value of bitcoin.. For now i think its just an effect of ethereum investors that they convert their ethereum into bitcoin thats why the price is increasing.. And i think the price is not over yet. In this week we will experience the price will still rise until reach 420.
just wait and be patience..

yeah the price is really stable right now, im wondering when we will see any moves in price...

the exchanges here are behind china once again. huobi is sitting at $395 while bitstamp and huobi are at $382 and $381. i think there will be some catch up done to come closer to the price in china.
if china market still rise, i guess bitstamp will follow it but looks to weird why huobi stay at $381. I mean is rarely huobi price on under bitstamp price.

Then you must have watched the wrong chart.
For me since this morning the price on Huobi has been constantly hovering around $395.
