I'm still Stunna'd by the implications of all of this.

This guy gives away (what appears to be) several bitcoin on a monthly basis for displaying a signature. That means the site revenue must be huuuuuge!

So my question is, who exactly are all these bitcoin-carrying idiots obsessed with virtual dice gambling?

I've never clicked on that ad once, never will.

I understand people look to "get rich quick" in a million different ways here, but you still have to have a certain amount of intelligence in order to operate a bitcoin account.

So how are people smart enough to understand how to get a hold of some bitcoin yet dumb enough to gamble it away on a computer program designed to lose? Makes no sense.

How are people smart enough to make millions IRL yet dumb enough to gamble it away in Vegas (or spend on drugs or hookers or whatever).

With the tiny house edge on a site like PrimeDice even smart people sometimes think they can come up with a winning strategy.

And some gamble just for entertainment. I know I do. Made 0.015 BTC this year. Now to find some cheap drugs.

Gambling is a huge business.  The guy who bought SatoshiDice paid like $12 million just for the domain I think and I read he made all his money back in less than 1 year.

And I think Primedice does look for or prefers Alt-coin accounts (which is why CfA is looking to buy only those) as that's where most of the miners and investor types are.  Those people have "free" coins to spend and also, anyone who invests in alts is a big risk taker which is the ideal personality type for gambling.

Gambling is a vice just like any other vice.  You don't sit around wondering how Jack Daniels could pay millions of dollars for ads every month, do you?  I don't understand why this ad concept amazes you so much.

Some people love gambling and if they can mine coins for next to nothing then it's cheap entertainment for them while some are actually good at it and make good money in which case primedice is offering a sweet win-win solution.

Cheers!

All those who got thousands of bitcoin by CPU/GPU mining are not very intelligent/logical thinker.

That's not true for all Sr/HERO accounts.

My activity is not quite the same as the number of my posts and this month is my first time ever getting paid for my signature line.  In fact, until this month I didn't even know people were making money off their accounts.  What a sweet deal and I can't believe all this time I've been posting so much without earning a dime.  lol, better late than never.

Cheers!

Huh? I haven't moved any Bitcoins around except on BTC-e and that's on another adress.

The final balance is 0.
Yes I can see that on the blockchain, but I haven't touched 0.07 BTC.. I am not trying to get any money back if they are gone it's my fuck up BUT I swear that I have not touched those BTC... How can they have been moved?

Your computer is probably compromised.
You should make virus scan at least.
And if you have coins in your computer now you should be carefully with them.
Yeah, I've locked both my wallets but thing is that the adress that the BTC was posted to isn't on my computer :O

Whose address is that then? You've got it on your profile! So does it show up left of all your posts.. If that isn't your address, you can't blame Stunna for that.

That address has to be from someone Wink.
This was my bad, I change adresses so much so I must have been thinking that I need a stable one; so I picked the one on cex.io. Smiley

In that case, you should see the bitcoin on your cex.io account balance.
So it is a happy ending. No bitcoin loss and no computer compromised. Cheesy

TL:DR Having Senior Members + who have been here awhile, who are constructive and well versed on many topics here, and who are usually looking to help people is a lot better than having tons of Jr members and Full members going around with a PD signature. It is better OPTICS for Sr. Member + to have it.

+10000, quality Senior posters will give a good image to Primedice. I hope I make the cut!

Senior/Hero posters tend to have less thoughtful / intelligent posts in my experience on a ratio basis (IE more members post spam / nonsense, but there are a lot more members than there are Sr/Hero members). A lot of Sr/Hero members are clearly around just for the signature campaigns... Their activity is the same as their number of posts usually. A lot of them also got into the forum before they implemented the 1 activity point per day (14 points per 2 weeks) system.

I don't think most people go on trust based on a forum accounts rank... Especially with the buying/selling of accounts. Just food for thought.

I think the Sr/Hero members are by far the most ideal for advertising purely because of signature size, I dont think it matters if a user spams or not, I dont judge a user by their signature (usually), or judge the signature because of its poster.

Thanks to Stunna for running the campaign, made a couple hundred bucks doing what I was already doing.

STUNNAAAAA,

I got paid.  Wow, I can't believe I missed out on this for so many months.  Crazy.

All you people who got paid, how about you leave stunna a positive +++ feedback.  I see relatively few people doing that.  Lots of people still think primedice doesn't really pay out and besides it's only right to leave good feedback when someone keeps their end of a deal.

Cheers!

He has over 400 positive feedback's now (yes, I did count them).
So I'm not sure how those who still doubt that he pays, would feel any safer if he has couple more of them.

Get ready for PrimeDice Sig Campaign!
If you have advertised before, you know that theres is 2 key things. One is ad impressions, meaning the total views of the ad, and then the click through rate. The click through rate is the amount of times the user clicks on it, and you want this to be as high as possible compared to the impressions, and this is achieved through higher quality more attractive ads, and in this case senior members, hero members, and legendaries will increase that rate because their ad is the most catchy and big, and people tend to pay more attention to higher ranking users.

Will stunna ever accept new seniors in the short term??

Probably not. Stunna is halving the amount of Senior Members currently enrolled so I doubt he'll start hiring new ones after that.

Sorry to say but PD just lost alot of its presence on this forum, which I think is bad,  If newbies come in they will see other sigs now, if he cuts out half of the seniors you can say good bye to PD presence here.

While rank doesn't exactly mean anything sometimes, on here most of the time it is seen as a sign of being here for awhile and being knowledgeable and trustworthy.

Think about it, who are most people going to generally trust more? a Jr. Member or Senior Member?

Someone who has higher trust or someone who has lower trust?

The newbies usually respect/trust what the higher ranking/long time members have to say(for the most part. I am being GENERAL AS HELL SO DON'T SAY I AM BEING ABSOLUTE.

Also, the newbies generally don't make very in-depth or intelligent posts. They might be constructive but they don't generally know that much.

Also, is there a way I can see how long time I have left to SR.member?

You got about 3 activity jumps to go(240), my man.

@Don007, Stunna said he's probably cutting Senior/Hero in half, so probably be wise to look elsewhere just in case.

Yes, you can use a calculator. Check https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/the-definitive-explanation-of-how-activity-works-495948 and calculate how long it takes for you to reach the Senior Member level.

However, according to the first post of this topic (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.3119391)  Stunna doesn't accept any new Senior member anymore, the same as Hero Members. (@ Stunna: how does this work out for current Senior Members, aren't they allowed to participate anymore as soon as they reach the Hero Member level?)

Are we not allowed to use the referral link if we're still participating in this campaign?

That's a decision you've to make. At the other side, personally I would click URLs in signatures of Senior Members faster rather than URLs in signatures of members. And hey, this is going to be cheaper for Stunna.  Maybe the "lost of attention" and the thereby "lost of income" will be compensated be the money Stunna safes on not accepting < senior members anymore.

I'm sure Stunna is wise enough to check out for himself what's the best for him and Primedice.   I do think that the new referalURL system brings in a lot of attention too. Maybe you should promote your referalURL on these and other forums, see the first post of this topic.
