I actually saw the first post and made the mistake of thinking that entries closed 48 hours after the original post.
Entries will close 48 hours prior to this to avoid abuse!
Yeah I think you need to read and understand it better yourself! According to the OP, the competition will close on October 3rd at 12PM EST. It states no-where that its 48 hours after the topic post time!48 hours prior to the deadline, the deadline is 5th October, that makes 3rd October to me. So since its 25th September today, entries are still open.
"Prior" means before, not after. Since it can't close before the thread was made, it's obviously before the deadline.
"This" being the deadline, not the time the thread was made.
Funny thing is, with your closing date, even MICRO would've missed it:
