I'm not sure if waterpile is thinking of something like in just-dice where each account has a unique ID but people can change their "name" to appear however they like. It's kinda fun to be honest, I think it wouldn't be bad at all if PD implemented something like this.

If PD make this then everyone will get a UID besides their name. The chatbox is very small and crowded now, if you add UID there then it will be very weird, also that now this beggar will keep changing their name and hope someone fell for their begging Grin

But then if the username can be changed freely, it could bring a lot of confusion. For example, you may not be able to recognize the friendly users you talked with in the previous week, or the ones trying to scam you.

PvP has been removed, Russian chatroom has been added, 2FA has been added, Account recovery using email has been added, VIP tag has been added, and may be some more.
