I was recently contacted for marketing PrimeXBT so I did a little web search and found this topic before jumping on-board. I was wondering and I asked Bitmex about the company number not being found on Seychelles online registry and got the following answer:

Quote
The information in our Terms of Service is up to date and correct.

I confirm that HDR Global Trading Limited was incorporated under the International Business Companies Act of 1994 with a company number of 148707.

Only local companies that were incorporated under the Companies Act of 1972 show up in that registry.

I know this is not contributing to the argument in either way at this point, and I don't know if it is really correct or not but in case anyone was wondering.

I would like to add that off-shore companies should only be preferred for services that cannot be obtained otherwise. In case of disputes, taking action would either be a legal dead-end or very expensive.

Says the guy promoting Minter in his sig, an entity depicting its Team as ... wait for it ... cartoon characters: https://www.minter.network/#team

I understand your attitude to cartoon characters. It looks weird. Honestly I have no idea why Minter decided to show their team in cartoons.

But in CIS they have biggest community and everyone is aware of Minter. A lot of people are buying something for their currency and develop different projects based on Minter. They do a lot for adoption.
Probably they won't change game, I don't know, but they are trying and it is something more than cartoons and typical scam. Anyway DYOR.

Speaking about my signature, the fact wearing signature of specific project doesn't mean I am a big fan of it. It is about money.

So promoting a scammy ICO is fine but wearing a casino signature isn't?

To be fair, Minter seems like a legit venture sans digging deeper sans cartoon characters depicting its Team.

Hey.

Why are you confusing people, trying to accuse a completely legitimate platform?
The platform is building its solid presence and it seems that you are wrong Mr Sherlock. You made a wrong research, and wrong accusation, admit it. At least now, when its clear that the company is super legit

1)   Here is a great explanation how your research went wrong: https://medium.com/@tech_banterist/primexbt-scam-or-trustworthy-platform-c12ec07dcff7 It also explains that Seychelles register doesn’t have all the companies for public records. Bitmex is run by HDR Global Trading Limited - and it CAN’t be located in the public register where you tried to find PrimeXBT. Is bitmex a scam? Funny.
2)   They have fixed the T&C typo. Obviously the mistake was done by one of the content writers. Just look how binance was spotted on rewriting Bitmex futures guide: https://twitter.com/BitMEXdotcom/status/1169120530554900482?s=20 . Does it mean binance a scam? I doubt.
3)   Fake twitters? Go look for fakes in Binance, Bitfinex, Bitmex etc. Full of bots! Does it mean it’s a scam? It’s just ridiculous
4)   PrimeXBT confirmed that there is no official presence in BTT long time ago: https://twitter.com/PrimeXbt/status/1102918283332931585?s=20
5)   It is obvious that it was not PrimeXBT who tried to fake the numbers and build a story of a successful trader. Its one of the affiliate/referral agents who was trying to make himself a success story and bring some referrals

It’s really funny how you are promoting a scammy casino and trying to blame a legit platform of being a scam. Don’t confuse people man.

I don’t quite understand why people even fall for this scam. Don’t they even read the chart & do due diligence before deposits?

The team is entirely anonymous. It is common that you don’t see the names of the team on the website but when you search on LinkedIn you can always find something. That’s the case for most of the smaller exchanges out there. Or at least you find an interview with the CEO like these:
https://www.techbullion.com/cryptocurrency-derivatives-exchange-interview-with-the-ceo-of-basefex-jesse-wu/
https://fintecbuzz.com/interview-with-founder-and-ceo-overbit-chieh-liu/
https://cointelegraph.com/news/there-are-still-millions-of-people-in-poland-who-have-never-heard-of-bitcoin-sylwester-suszek-bitbay

But not the case for PrimeXBT. No Linkedin records nor interview. Nothing. No one knows who is behind. Isn’t this enough for a red flag?

A few months ago, I signed up there. And once I look into their chart, I realized it is a pure scam. Just take a look at the chart and you will know what I am talking about - or don’t do trading at all! There are not many actual traders there. Just their bots that lure naive investors in and scam their money.

So don’t fall for this scam over low fees, people! If bitmex cannot suffice your needs and you are consequently interested in smaller derivatives exchanges, there are some legitimate options there that at least don’t do scam: https://www.bestbitcoinexchange.net/derivatives/

The fact that all these shitposting accounts come in here to defend PrimeXBT shows that I was right. The funny thing is that all these accounts appear to be posting/bumping the same topics but none of them have posted in the PrimeXBT thread prior to this scam accusation.

For those that claim that Bitmex isn't registered, they are:

Hi, there.

I found the link to this thread in primexbt main thread. I am an active trader on prime and got afraid when I saw this scam warning, but when I read through this thread, I understood that there is absolutely no evidence for making such false statements. The only motivation that I can imagine is an attempt to kill the rival.

Here is the summary of your arguments that you used to prove to everyone that the company is scam:

1. Someone promoted primexbt here in BTT
2. The company made a typo in the terms
3. You can't find a newly established company in some register (do you know how often is it updated? what companies does it include: just public or private and public?).
4. Twitter account has some followers with no avatars/posts. Well, this is the strongest argument. Please make the similar thread for Bitfinex: https://twitter.com/bitfinex/followers

If you want to make a proper investigation, you should have made an official request to the company itself and the government authority and share the results here with us. I hope that the company has qualified lawyers to defend its reputation.

Peace everyone.

1. It's not promoting. He first claims that he is a staff member (even posts his staff email address), then acts like he is a customer that made $112,000 by trading on PrimeXBT. People start confronting him with his previous posts and he deletes everything that links him to PrimeXBT.
2. Made a typo? They copied Bitmex's company number. What kind of self respecting company does that?
3. I wouldn't call 4 months old newly established. Every company can be found in a registry, there is no such thing as a private registry. You can't just access all company information but you can definitely find if a company is registered.
4. What does Bitfinex has to do with this?

1. Still don't get the idea of how this could be an argument that allows you to make a statement that a company is a scam
2. People make typos (even the best), can we call someone scam because they make typos? I am sure that it was a typo because it has been fixed.
3. You have no idea how is the registry work and you didn't bother to learn or ask anyone but used your misleading opinion to make a serious statement.
4. I don't know, that was your argument. Why don't you call Bitfinex scam?

How can I contact "the government authority" when it is unclear where they are located and they are clearly lying about being a registered company?

So you made such a great "research" and don't understand how and what to ask? You can ask them if such company exists. Here is an official email: [email protected] Please do the job before accusing anyone.

So what you do here is spreading your unverified opinion and trying to convince us that these are the facts. Don't try to manipulate the community.

Please also compare the screenshot that you posted here with the official name of the company:

- here is what you posted here HDR Virtual assets trading ltd

- the company name from t&c HDR Global Trading Limited

How can you tell us that it's the same company? Please stop this.

@ETHivan
why are you trying to defend this piece of shit company anyways???
Unless you are part of this whole scam.
I can for sure say that I invested BTC on primexbt.com and they stole all my money. This is no kidding matter, they steal people's money and you come here and try to push aside the truth?
Stop this bullshit! PrimeXBT is a SCAM! they steal your money and then stop responding to emails like they did to me.
I wish I knew how to find who is behind this scam because if would castrate them!

You should open a new scam accusation (including evidence) so you can open a scammer flag. Much easier to warn other people.

Fucking scammer! Stop this bullshit! I just traded on primexbt and they stole my bitcoin! Fraud!

I personally traded on primexbt. No problem with deposits withdrawals and trading. Actually trading execution is even better than on their competitors, no complaints.

About the twitter – many companies are doing that in order to increase organic growth in twitter.. cant see issues here. I bet all exchanges out there are having 50% of bots in their followers . nnnooooo problem

And probably ber68dclass is a scammer, or he  is simply tried to promote his referral link to gain some trust etc

any update?

Its a scam! don't fall for it like I did

A buddy of mine that's big on Instagram received an email from them about a week or so ago. They want him to become one of their marketing partners. I just found this thread and there are a lot of potential red flags here. Does anyone have any update about them?

Nothing has changed. I would suggest your friend to stay away from them.

First of all:  I personnaly lost 2BTCs - mostly earnings - on whaleclub.
I'll definitely avoid similar experience again.

The platform looks promising, fees are quite low and there are some markets I'd like to play with.
I've sent a email to support to explain my doubts.

Now, it's incredibly difficult to find any information about them. Who are the CEO/CFO/CTO ?
Anything I've found is either black (like some trashing thread on bitcointalk), or completely white (all those guys hoping you'll click on their referal link....)

No gray area, found nothing about scamed poeple on twitter or over the web.
I mean... Does any one has heard about some guy who's already been scamed?

The first argument coming from support is the "Covesting" partnership (and this paternship seems legit)
Apparently, Covesting is fully leggit too. I've never heard of them before, can't say if it's for real.

The second argument: I've found few technical details on the platform that let me think I'm facing something close to Whaleclub.co back then...
I've exposed those to support and will eventually get some feedback for all of them.

No order books seems reaaaally odd to me. (just like whaleclub). Support replied:
At the moment we are updating and improving the order book Widget to include aggregated liquidity. The widget for the order book will be added back and available for all users in one of the nearest updates.
Our liquidity aggregation system collects the pricings from several exchanges and combines them into one deep order book, providing tighter spreads, better entry pricing and liquidity. We employ a STP (straight through processing) system as well, if that is of importance to you.

Okay, seems legit, will wait for orderbook.

Liquidation funds. Nothing about that on the patform anywhere... Support replied:
In regards to position liquidation: liquidation may occur should your available margin drop below 0%. Before liquidation you will also receive a margin call prompting you to increase available margin in your trading account.

Okay, I'd like too dig up this point in my next email.

Some other technical detail I won't expose here make me concerned about this platform.
Sent an email yesterday, no response yet.

Neutral argument: Support replies sloooooooooowly. Like, Zootopia's sloth slow.
That's neither positive or negative. Just a piece of information.
I'd say those guy are working so hard getting those conversion numbers up they might forget actual customer support...
But I'm an entrepreneur myself, and that's the way I think.

You could imagine guys are waiting for amount to be big enough to exit scam,
but regarding all the efforts spent on marketing, I can't imagine those guys just "waiting for an exit".

In conclusion
I'll keep watching the platform and eventually invest small amount. Looking at the market right now, won't be hard to take some profit.
The goal is to bee able to get any "substantial" amount (like 1BTC) to see how withdraw behave.

Another huge red flag is that the manager of the PrimeXBT ANN is posting a lot of trading signals in the ANN. A professional exchange would never do that due to liability issues.

From the main thread

Vingolle has been autobanned, presumably for the plagiarism present in the recent posts where he has been pretending that PrimeXBT are offering successful trading tips..
