I have my money on verge, Probably at the moment  it is also the best buy ( after the fork is done withing hours days and the wallets are updated at the exchanges ).

the longterm future is hard to predict though. probably they all will keep growing untill one of them goes mainstream. I too am interested in an detailed technical analysis of this segment of privacy coins

best in what?
there are a lot of attributes that altcoins can be compared in. the most famous on is "as an investment that will give you profit", but there are other things like
- how their anonymity works
- the developement
- their adoption
- wallets (ease of use, GUI, how many are there, is there a mobile version,...)
and lots more.

but something tells me you don't care about any of these and only want the first thing "the profit". in which case all of them are equally good since they all have the potential of getting pumped Grin

Actually l think that they will all do well as far as  the profit is concerned. I was more interested in there privacy aspects. It concerns me with most coins that once the wallet address is know the history is visible to anyone. There are discussions among Politicians in countries like Australia, to introduce legislation that would allow "sneak and peak warrants", basically meaning that law enforcement could enter a property and search it, without the occupier knowing and never have to acknowledge they have been there. Hence privacy and anonymity are a big concern to me.

I only listed these coins because l actually own them, but would like to know what other privacy coins  people like and why?
Personally l like PIVX for it ease of use and mobile wallet as well as the zerocoin protocol option and the updates they are planning in there 2018 road map. As well as the fact they have a 60 second block time, low fee's and as a POS coin l can stake it.

But l was hoping to get responses for what people prefer to use for privacy and why they have selected that coin.

well in that case i am going to say Monero is best.
it doesn't mean i don't like others such as PIVX, in fact i quite like PIVX, but as far as privacy coins go i will always go to Monero. it is quite old (meaning it has less undiscovered bugs and has been working well so far) and privacy features are what you use if you use Monero. most coins like DeepOnion do not have this by default. most of these privacy coins have the anon features but they are either not good enough or are not on by default.

I've researched something like this a week ago and i found this XSPEC coin and it looks it is far ahead from the privacy coins you've mentioned. It has OBFS4 Bridge Support that facilitates undetected use in countries that block Tor, such as China & Iran and  only Spectrecoin has this feature. And the transaction speed is much faster it has 30-60seconds confirmations making this coin superb for remittances.

Agreed, I'm anxious to see where XSPEC ends up this year. Another one to check out is SUMOKOIN. I'll be keeping an eye on it this year as well. Lots and lots of stuff going on with privacy coins lately. I think they will all do good this year and in years to come.

I currently own all of these coins and am wondering what people think of each of them and why is one better then the other?

Monero is by far the most undervalued coin in the market best out of those coins you mentioned, followed by Zcash. Both coins offer the best privacy features. I prefer Monero because it is private by default meaning that every transactions is made private automatically, and because it has an active dev team that is always trying to make improvements on the project.

Verge is just another cryptocurrency that's trying to pass a privacy coin when it facts it offers absolutely no privacy/anonimity compared to the coins above. The only reason it is being mentioned in cryptocurrencies forums is because the marketing team behind does a great work at creating hype out of thing air.
Copy-paste project, Dev teams always missing deadlines, shitcoin being promoted as privacy coin when it offers pretty much the same privacy as bitcoin...overall, stay away from it.

Pivx, I've never heard of this coin until it was added on Binance a few days ago, so I can't for sure if it is a good/bad privacy coin.

DeepOnion is a meme coin, c'mon now...

not surprising , people come to invest in crypto nowadays for the sake of getting profit as much as possible and as soon as possible , then quit forever as they have made a quick cash. not sure op did have the same purpose  Roll Eyes , let's be positive thinking that he looking for the best privacy coin in overall.

op missed dash coin as it is the biggest coin by market cap i will choose it as the best in overall, verge might have the lowest cost transaction but i don't trust xvg.

It really depends what you need this coins for. If you mean what is the best as an investment then two big candidates are Monero and Zcash, but, as the latter has genius tax, Monero is the best one. However, as for their privacy, I have seen articles explaining that Zcash and Monero can easily be tracked and they are not as anonymous as people think they are. Deeponion seems like the best coin in terms of privacy, as it is integrated into TOR network and, whereas people out there do some shady business, I believe they made sure this coin is the best for them before accepting it.

I think monero is the best simply because how long the project is alive and the amount of work and user adoption it has. Botnets are mining monero and that speaks volume to the privacy it provides.

SpectreCoin will be the best IF they can deliver stealth staking.
It will be the best privacy coin out there, beating Monero, Verge, DeepOnion, etc.
But only if they deliver what's promised.

I see the most profitable and cost-effective coins from your list. These are
Monero, DeepOnion and Zkash. You can see statistics on the growth of prices for any coins and see which are the most liquid.

You ask which privacy coins will be best, but then you only list one privacy coin, which is Monero.

Why not just ask if Bitcoin is a good privacy coin? Or Ethereum?

Oh oh, I've got it! Is Ripple a good privacy coin??

smdh

Actually they are all privacy coins Monero, Pivx , Verge, DeepOnion , Zcash- But Bitcoin, Ethereum & Ripple are not.

Dash seems to be doing alright. I think the best at this moment in time is Monero. I like Onion due to the low circulating supply and the team seems dedicated enough.
Onion has no privacy functionality at all. It's all marketing BS.

LOL, Deeponion fanboys again at it. This coin has no privacy at all. Your transactions are transparent in the blockchain.

True but DeepSend is coming and that will nail it.
Verge is ok too. Zcash have a strong background now
What will it nail? Other coins have ring signatures and coin mixing for ages. Marketing bubble.
