Every time I get one, I just roper it to a moderator. There's a drop down for this in your inbox.

The Mods will block & a new name will be used & spamming will continue.  Even if the Mods are blocking the ip address, with VPNs, blocking ip and names doesn't mean much.

Me too, i also received some spam messages in my inbox. There is some links stated on their messages i think they are advertising their companies, but im too lazy to read when a message comes from a brand new account. We don't really know if its a scammer or not, so ive just deleted their messages and don't give attention for them.

Seems to be another way to spam.  Have received two private messages this week spamming.  This last one from a newbie "taistatizwrap".

Yeah,it is normal because many newbie try to contact you everyday this is new way of scamming they try to steal your money so always we have to ignore this kind of messages.
And some messages in the form of please join in our bounty program,if it is a good bounty program then people will automatically promote their project so only scam project will search for members.

A lot of spam comes in recently, but I do not pay attention to them, there are basically all scammers. Be careful, do not accept their suggestions. The mail is also very much spam.

There are so many spams coming these days via PM. And mostly from new members advertising one thing or the other. It's just appalling.
It all boils down to personal safety and taking caution in dealing with such persons.

I do not pay attention to such letters. Very often I send them a scam. So they just need to be ignored. At the same time you can complain to the moderator on sending spam.

Seems to be another way to spam.  Have received two private messages this week spamming.  This last one from a newbie "taistatizwrap".
I too keep receiving them very often these days. Those are likely newbie shill bot accounts made for the spamming purpose. All you have to do is report the message to an admin/moderator.They will likely ban the account, wouldn't help much but will certainly keep them in control.

This is what I'm doing which If I do receive those kind of spam messages I do report it to moderator and then delete it. I don't try to read up those things and they do always mention about ICO stuffs regarding investing etc. Sometimes I do receive that Gunbot thing. Don't know how to stop on receiving those messages even you do ignore that user another newbie account will patch up to send you message.

if the person who sends private messages to you are not trusted  just ignore the message and delete it at once if its not important, or maybe blocked them immediately so they can no longer send any message.

That's a terrible way to promote an ICO in our opinion. Doesn't give a good impression at all and screams scam.

With a significant number of 'ICOs' not completing their offer & falling by the wayside, this scamming just shows how much you need to do 'due diligence' on each and every coin or token you are interested in.

Even I also received these type of messages. I think some one in our forum is running a service of promoting ICOs via pm. But we cant do anything against it. If we complain to the admin, may be they will give them red trust or ban them. That's it. That too all are newbie accounts. If they receive red trust, they will create another account for promotion.

Just ignore every mesage that will come to you if you think that they are scam. Aa long as you dont cliick any link your account is safe. Hackers will try to do anything just get or steal money from other people.

You are not the only one who do receive these PM's which I have receive some message too but I would say better neglect or delete it directly since usually message have been sent out usually regarding on their ICO or new coin which they are recruiting or convincing you to invest on them.I don't know why they do such thing since they can simply post an ann thread and let the people read up their project.
