It is a fake campaign again. I tried to ask in their telegram channel but there is only a bot there and no activity so I checked the discord channel and someone already asked about the thread today. Their discord admin confirmed it is a fake campaign!

I want to tag the account, but there's no conclusive evidence. Privcy used to have the worst signature spam since DeepOnion, and some bag holders must be using forum spam to find new victims.

I tagged him a long time ago but my rating has no value.
The reason you should tag him is this one before he deletes it: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.46320057
He made the same thread with a fake signature campaign a long time ago where users joined, and after a short time he re-nominated his thread in :

Whats your dream car?

The user intent is to have a free advertisement on the forum.

Edit: Archived his thread: https://web.archive.org/web/20181216194541/https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5040642.msg46320057

It's back, this time NEW] Privcy signature campaign Member - Legendary[OPEN} is created by Snowflower Valley.

It's self-moderated, so my post was quickly deleted:
Do you have any escrowed funds for this campaign?
Privcy dropped to a Market Cap of $60k, with $78 daily volume.
After spamming this forum for many months, their little scam is over. Of course this campaign won't be paid, I think it's at least the third fake campaign I've seen.

OP will probably delete this, so I'll have some fun: if you use their signature, you can expect me to go over your post history and report anything that's spam.

In the end, the thread is now removed probably by some mods since the user is currently offline from the 24th of November!

This is the second time when they did the same fake signature campaign so I guess they will do again in the future, maybe not again here on bitcointalk.

Why someone will promote their coin if team isn't involved with it.
Someone bought a bag and want to pump price?
And we can't see any reaction from team on this thread.
Read post number two.
Most likely team are doing that by creating new id.
There is no proof of that.

i need to punish him with a negative trust .
That would be wrong use of trust system. Trust should serve as a warning to others. You can find their account somewhere in my trust wall and tag them if you think it is necessary to retag throw away account which probably won't show here ever again.

High_ASD sent me a private message where he is warning me about this fake. I so appreciate that and I am glad there are such responsible people here.
But as I see the thread of the campaign continue to be filled with new applies and I can understand that. Looks like signature campaign's business is going down, but there are so much users who used to earn money that way that they desperately ready to apply to whatever just to take a part in and to be paid.

What if it's someone from their real team? Should the team be tagged for not trying to warn users this is not from them?

I want to also same question. Why someone will promote their coin if team isn't involved with it. And we can't see any reaction from team on this thread. In my opinion they just want to sale their hold coin because they have listed on 2 worst exchange. Most likely team are doing that by creating new id.

Yes, they posted there, the OP removed the post, the screenshot is here or on 1st post of this thread.

I have doubts now, they first create a thread then delete is and create self moderated thread. It's really dubious to me why some one need to promote their coin ? Will you it ? Really not nor I will do. So who is behind it ?

I guess someone of the team posted on the thread and got deleted, but someone take a screenshot for that which can be seen at OP.

This could be a tactic by a big holder to try and gain interest on the project so they can dump their coins off for as much as possible.
And it could be free advertisement, if people will look again at the thread some users doesn't even care removing the signature and still hoping or a spot despite of a big red flag all over the thread.

With all evidence pointing out that this campaign is a scam campaign since it not coming from the privcy team and the campaign is being posted by a newbie account and not just a newbie but account created on the same day the campaign was posted, and less we forget this is not the first time a scam campaign is being initiated in the name of privcy team and I think the persons behind all this action will not be far from the team may be he/she is out to get people to invest in the token in other for him to be able to dump the coin once it is pump leading to investors losing they money. The team really need to investigate this and come out with a lasting solutions.

Let's assume the campaign does not pay out. What's the next course of action? The op has already been tagged and it doesnt seem to be deterring users from trying to join the campaign.

IMO users are sorta helping to promote a scam and face possible rage themselves. Noone is doing their due diligence at all. They just seen a sig campaign pop up and are looking for a spot.

Who's being scammed here if the campaign doesnt pay? All possible investors correct? This could be a tactic by a big holder to try and gain interest on the project so they can dump their coins off for as much as possible.

I dont want to say it should not be allowed for a newbie account to make a signature campaign or anything but I think we are seeing the red flags with their actions to replies in the thread.

I agree with this, this kind of fake campaigns will not be successful if no one is supporting them.
As a participants we should be aware of scams because we might become an accessories of a crime especially if a certain campaign is created to generate funds from the community and the public.

Honestly, I think the Self-Moderation privilege should be withdrawn from ranks below Full Member to curb some of these essences.

That I agree I hate to see a lot of newbies creating a self-moderation thread some of these are airdrops coins and because people do not like these airdrops coins because of their being useless coins, they are questioning it, but these newbies keep deleting it.

Any user joining the campaign, posting for them and not getting paid is responsible himself since the red trust on the profile of the manager makes it crystal clear that the campaign is not legit.

Someone should not just blindly join a signature campaign and promote almost anything for the sake of a few bucks which are nothing else but an illusion which they would realize once the week comes to an end. A minor look at the manager and the reviews and facts about the campaign is worth the time you might spend promoting the project without getting anything in return. People need to understand such basic things, only then such acts won't make a difference for the community.

I don't think we have to go to that far. It's quite easy to create a new thread and inform others that your warning message has been deleted from a thread. Most of the time DT member is very active on tagging suspicious users. Not only that, high ranks doesn't mean they won't scam. What's the basis to decide Full Member/Member or so? I don't think there is enough justification to do that.

Excuse me, who are you?
Is that all you can say with all the accusations of a fake signature campaign, you should address this issue actually this is the first time I read about a fake bounty campaign from a legit project I still don't know if a whale is doing this to sell his bags.
They can sign message to prove they have funds to pay signature participants and as they are brand new account they should definitely use escrow for this, instead of removing posts from people who are questioning this service.

If it is not the team then it has to be someone else Roll Eyes
Irrelevant, in my opinion.

Anyway, forgive me with the attitude. I just a bit annoyed of what I saw from that thread.

And it looks the OP is really active in deleting such negative post on his signature campaign but never even make a single reply on that thread lmao.
