Will it still be Bittrex that does the destruction act by sending the coins to the address or will it be yourself?  Will it be possible for someone to get that address when they create a new wallet?

The accepted method for destruction is to send the coins to Bittrex and let them destroy it.

I have been trying to get BittrexExchange to destroy the coins for a week but they have been very busy with exploding wallets
The method chosen is one that has been successfully used before.
The chances of somebody acquiring the private key for the following address is probably in the billions-1.

Kind Regards

40 Million PRO has just been sent to the following made up address

PayProCoinPayProCoinPayProCoj6ngcU

You can check this here

And it looks like someone sent 1 coin just to make sure it is a valid address on the PRO network Smiley
So now there is 40Million and 1 PRO at this address!

That must be the same people that think there are too many coins and then complain that there are not enough people selling on the exchanges.

This coin gets more scarce every day!

Couldn't find the meme, but whut...whut...whut?

Without having to decipher pages of replies...
The plan is to have bittrex destroy 40 million PRO?  And what is the justification again?

Not razzing, just want to get the stories straight.

While I'm at it why 'coin?'  Everything is coin, coin, coin.  Why not just PayPro?  This rose by a shorter name would smell much sweeter.  Glad to see the logo isn't round at least.

We are destroying 40 Million PRO (half premine) as it was deemed the premine was too high.

Well, since you asked: it is not the first use of the compound word PayPro in human history so it is differentiated by its object name as a suffix.

I will be posting a PayProCoin address which we have made up.

EXAMPLE

P111111111111111111111111abcde

The last 5 digits are to make the checksum work, otherwise the client would reject it.

I will then send 40 MILLION PRO to the address.

================================================

2130 BTC are currently stuck in a Counterparty address,
https://blockchain.info/address/1CounterpartyXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXUWLpVr

================================================

If anyone has any objection to us using this method, they should post here before tomz noon.

Can PRO be merge-mined with Bitcoin and other SHA-256 coins yet?

Also, unlimited mining is gonna make quite many people skeptic, as this guarantees inflation and loss of buying power / value over time. I suggest a block reward halving every 2-4 years and no more than 1 billion coins total (after which transaction fees should be the reward), or it can get very hard to trade PRO when it is gonna be worth less than 1 satoshi :/

Think about it!
yes, unlimited coin number we know from fiat money. What do you think was price of BTC today if this is unlimited ?

Why not limit coin number?  Undecided

PRO has an unlimited window for mining: so investing in mining infrastructure now is a sound, long-term investment.
5-minute block times create faster confirmations than BitCoin and make high-volume transactions safer.
