As long as your computer and the cube are on the same subnet they should be able to talk to each other without a router interfering.  If your ethernet card is old or just crappy you might need to plug both into a switch / hub instead.  With them directly connected and your computer IP set as 192.168.1.13 you should be able to point your browser to 192.168.1.254:8000 (or whatever is printed on the cube).  You might need to change your gateway to 192.168.1.254, but I'm not sure of that.

If that address doesn't work then it's possible the previous owner changed the cube's IP address.  A common IP is 192.168.1.200:8000, so try that.  Is there some sort of factory reset on the cube at all?  If not, then you can use nmap on windows http://nmap.org/zenmap/ to find its IP.

If your router supports a separate VLAN then you can setup a second subnet that way.

Thank you for your reply cp1.

The router is provided by the ISP and it is not possible to change the subnet of it.

I have plugged my computer's ethernet cable directly into the cube, however, I cannot connect to it. Could you be a little more precise? Thank you, and, send me your wallet address so I could thank you again if it works.

Plug your computer's ethernet directly into the cube.

I also don't understand why you can't change your router's IP.  You can always try resetting it, as you might not know the administrator password.  It'll go back to whatever's written on the router.

I have the following problem.
My new/second hand Block Erupter Cube is connected to the router and running on a Corsair 600W PSU.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to change the ip address of the router of my ISP (I called them, but no), which is set to: 192.168.0.1

Therefore, I would like to change the IP address of my Block erupter cube to 192.168.0.x (instead of 192.168.1.x). I changed the IP address of my pc as follows, for the solution as outlined in this post.

However, I can't connect to the config page of my block erupter. I did a Net Scan (in the range 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.255) but the block erupter cube has not been detected.

The person who will solve this problem, will get a tip!
Thanx!
