I was reading an article sometime ago when I bump into a sentence, an I qoute, '' will you sit by an allow this opportunity to pass by again? Yesterday you said you will do it tomorrow"  this got me thinking all day like why have I not been able to buy bitcoin, I miss the opportunity in 2014 because I feel it was a scam, am I missed the opportunity, look at me today, investing in some alt that wanted to give me high b.p

Why most persons are soaked into altcoins is that they are cheaper to buy and with a high promising profits of  3x or more  higher than the price you bought it should the expected spike rise in price of the alt takes place. And for those with get rich quick mentality about crypto they see altcoins as the window to getting there faster.

It's not about making it a compulsory issue on yourself on buying bitcoin today or tomorrow that's the bone of contention, it's rather how patient you can be able to hold on a long term investment plan with whatever amount of bitcoin you bought, cause unlike alts, bitcoin isn't a get rich quick project.

Thats really a thing. I think almost everyone got that feeling since 2014 bitcoin ia just really a common thing and not even noticed by many. Even huge people ignoring this and now they are wanting every piece of it but its alright. We didnt even know that this will become a valuable stuff back then. So we totally understand what you are going through. But dont trust much alts cause some of them have not the same motive like Satoshi when he did created bitcoin.
back then when no body knew anything about Bitcoin and how great Bitcoin could be in the nearest future, one will unarguably doubt that the it was going to be this rich today. But kudos to those people who has a foresight about how Bitcoin was going to turn out to be this great, they are now swimming in money, and they will ever be happy to have taken the step that so many person's had a doubt about. That shows that in life,it's good to follow your mind, regardless of what people say about that particular thing you think it's going to work for you,it's good to always go for it,untill you get to the end point of it,and it might just amaze you of how that little trial you made will turn you into a multi millionaire.

Many people fear alot, in this fear they get used to it and procastinate, they left things to be done undone, all because they were afraid of missing out, some give up on trying something new, the remain satisfied with their current position because they believe all hop is gone, procastination leads to a regrettable future because later in life, it happens that you will have to blame yourself for not going for it earlier, those that are not liable to taking risk also procastinate, because they will want all conditions being fulfilled before the can make a move in giving a try.

It's pretty normal when someone who's not yet eager in investing in bitcoin. You'll get to see and remember those early days that you think that you're slow enough because you thought that it was a scam. While we saw that it has become popular these days and the value of it has grown a lot.

You're not alone thinking bitcoin with that thought because most of us in here had a second thought not to invest in bitcoin during the early days. But then, we have to move on and check the opportunities that's still around there. Some may say that there have been a lot of opportunities investing in alts but, don't forget that they're too volatile.

Investing in bitcoin is still the best choice and you can do it on an instant to buy with the budget you have or just DCA.

I miss the opportunity in 2014 because I feel it was a scam...

Even if you consider that moment a missed opportunity, ask yourself what could happen at any moment from 2014 onwards. There are a lot of people who "took the opportunity" but did not "profit" from it for various reasons, whether it was that they sold too early, or they lost access to what they invested in. If you take that into account, then there was a high probability that your story would have only one addition that would fit in one sentence "I bought Bitcoin in 2014 and sold it in 201x".

I must buy bitcoin today, I really don't know if someone else is experiencing the same thing out there?

To me, that is completely wrong and illogical thinking, literally as if someone is forcing you to do it, and it is and should be a matter of personal choice. I know that I have to die one day, and I am absolutely sure that I have no choice in that regard, and everything else has an alternative.

Have you known about this market since 2014 and haven't bought yet? Think carefully about what you are doing, because from what you say about the altcoin, it seems to me that you are an impulsive person who gets carried away by the ups and downs of the moment and is buying cryptocurrencies like someone who goes to the casino to try their luck. If you buy bitcoin, you'd better do it with money you won't need for years and with a lot of patience. If you don't have a lot of money, it's worth making regular small purchases, as recommended.

In any case, I wouldn't call that procastination, but rather making the wrong decisions over a long period of time.

Judging by how Bitcoin circle has been, 2014 wouldn't have been a nice entry year as it seemed Bitcoin was just coming off a bull year. So, price would've still been on a steady decline. Of course, I know that those who buy to hodl wouldn't care if they're buying high or low and would target anything like a perfect entry. They just buy. 2015/16 would've been a perfect time for shrewd investors just like 2023 is now. It's good you've noticed that investment in altcoins isn't as safe as that on Bitcoin.

You have a point but doesnt really apply to everybody, it also involves luck, timing, etc. You don't really want to be desperate and just grab all of the opportunities because that might just lead to making wrong decisions. It might lead you to get scammed in the first place if you invested in something that you didn't really know, Most of the early investors on Bitcoin that are already millionaires or billionaires these days were just lucky, I mean yes they invested money but Bitcoin is obviously a big gamble since they don't know that Bitcoin will reach these far.

But still yes buying bitcoin today is the best thing that you could do because the market is still in the process of recovering, there is still a lot of room for profit if you waiting for the All-time high and bull run.

If you procrastinate a lot, do not let that character affect your decision to invest in bitcoins because you will certainly regret it.

To buy bitcoin is a good idea. If you can not buy at once, you can DCA.
You will be surprised how many people have procrastinated buying bitcoins because of the idea that they need to buy a huge amount at once so they keep procrastinating and waiting for the day they will have enough money to invest a huge amount at a go.

If you talk to someone about bitcoins and they are interested, always add the extra information of a way for them to gather bitcoins slowly but consistently in a manner that will not affect their income. Tell them about Dollar Cost Averaging.

Yes, I agree with that, it's not just really about just buying Bitcoin, there must be an investment strategy. Some are just saving and waiting for a drop to invest it all at once for potential profit, and there are also some that's is dollar cost averaging to accumulate bitcoin.

This is also a strategy used to lure you into making a wrong decision by appealing to their subconscious which is instinctively doubtful about what is being offered. In the crypto word it is something like, "You missed out on the bitcoin train, join this project early to get it very cheap". This tries to align bitcoin's successes to a worthless token and get you to act on it with little to lose. The developers make away with a lot of money in the end.

I miss the opportunity in 2014 because I feel it was a scam, am I missed the opportunity, look at me today, investing in some alt that wanted to give me high b.p
You were doubtful which is natural, do not regret cause you could have made lots of money if you invested then. You are now investing in alts cause of the example I gave above.
I do not invest in altcoins and every now and then hear of an airdrop that went to the moon. This does not cause me regret cause I have made a decision to avoid them since majority are worthless.

I must buy bitcoin today, I really don't know if someone else is experiencing the same thing out there?

What if you invest in bitcoin today and the price later fall from $27700 today to $20000. Hope you will not panic? Some people that have experience will not sell but leave the bitcoin on their wallet, the price will later increased and increase very far above $27000.

If altcoins increased, they can increase than bitcoin, but some may remain as shit coins and not increasing. But if bitcoin is decreasing in price, when it gets to 1.5x decrease, expect altcoins to have decreased over 2, 3, 4x or more. That is why altcoins are like you are gambling. Invest what you can afford to lose on altcoins.

What can be more painful about some altcoins is that they may not get to all-time-high.

Not really, you used to have reasons to put it off. Realizing something depends on how strong you are against it in the past and how much preference knowledge especially in terms of technology, it can even take longer than 9 years. However, this is a form of caution that needs to be applied when risking any financial instrument.

I think the train is still not too far to say you have missed it.
