There's nothing wrong with profit. profit should never be a dirty word. If you make good money in crypto, never be afraid to sell to realise that cash. Keep on earning... keep on cashing in. It's great fun crypto at the moment as it's still the Wild West. Fortunes can be made and lost. And there's still higher highs to come so make sure you are ready to move on it.

Hey guys,

In order to benefit, will I have to cash out bitcoin when it gets high? That would mean i would have to sell it for dollar or other currency.
When i am buying online with coin, if it says the shirt is for $25, will they calculate how much $25 is worth in BTC at the current market rate or
how much it originally started with? If its at the current market rate, then whats the point of bitcoin if i am not profitting?

This is the nature of bitcoin. You have to cash out for benefit. Buying in low price and sell it in high can only gives you profit other wise hold them until you get the reward of holding and patience. Actually there's no point of holding bitcoin for Forever, Hold bitcoin is good but you should not be greedy if you feel the price is up you have to sell on that time. The store should accept the bitcoin or you have to exchange it with fiat for buying.

"whats the point of bitcoin if i am not profitting?"  Maybe because bitcoin didn't exist to make you profit?? Bitcoin is invented to replace fiat, or at least to go together with fiat depending what your views are. BITCOIN IS NOT A MONEYMAKING SCHEME.

You are absolutely correct. Let's be honest here, however. We all know Bitcoin is only as popular as it is because it's being used for profit. It doesn't even have a shot in replacing fiat as things currently stand.

I'm very optimistic about where Bitcoin can go in the future, both in value and utility, but it can't be denied that at the moment, what it does best is storing and multiplying your money. Granted, it's not a moneymaking scheme per se, but it can be used to make money all the same. It sucks, yes, but it's the truth.

"We all know Bitcoin is only as popular as it is because it's being used for profit". I agree, not entirely, but I'm pretty sure majority of the people are only in it for the money; I mean, even grandparents are getting in on bitcoin for the profits. Though I think it has a shot in replacing fiat, but the chances are quite low. Though I can see bitcoin surviving as a payment method along with fiat.

I agree Bitcoin can survive along side of fiat. For Bitcoin to thrive, I believe it has to gain more of a mainstream appeal. It's really upto to each of us to become an ambassador in the support for and growth for bitcoin and crypto currency as a whole.

Well, you would make a profit if you sell your BTC at a higher price, yes. Transversely, if you buy a $25 shirt online with BTC, it's better to buy that shirt when the BTC price is LOW, so you save money. The shirt is always $25, but it's worth in BTC will be changing.

Hope this helps Smiley

Everything you want to buy it by bitcoin is gonna calculated by the current price of bitcoin so when the price of btc is high you gonna buy what you want by low value of bitcoin and that the important advantage of bitcoin

If you feel like you have gained from your investment then do the cash out. Everything is for you to decide whether or not you sell or you hold. At the end of the day, your decision will make you feel like you really own your investment. Just remember that every decision you make, just don't regret and always monitor on the price to prevent your trade to a loss.
Exactly, as decision is in everyone's hands and there is no way you can absolutely know what even the future holds for any of your holding. Anyone looking for a benefit in this market asides holding should be able to understand how the market fluctuation works than just trying to make some blind mistakes of trying to trade the market fluctuations without some knowledge. It makes a lot of sense trying to increase your position in btc from it, but you will be reducing it when doing it wrongly.

Yes, you will need to cash out Bitcoin to make profit out of it. That means to sell Bitcoin for fiat.

As for your question about the $25 shirt, the calculation will be based on $25 worth of BTC at the current market rate. You are still profiting if you bought your Bitcoin at a lower rate than current market rate. Take this as an example, if you buy BTC at $1000 and current BTC market rate is $7000 when you want to buy the shirt.

$25 worth of BTC when you buy at $1000: BTC 0.025
$25 worth of BTC at $7000 (Buying shirt timing): 0.00357143

Hence you spend BTC 0.00357143 for the $25 shirt and have balance of BTC 0.02142857

There is no profit unless you cash out.  If Bitcoin went to 50m per coin and you didn't cash out anything you won't have made a profit.  There is a time to buy and a time to sell.  And sometimes a time to hodl.
This is the reason why some exchanges have a way you can hedge your funds and benefit from the huge fluctuation or volatility in bitcoin. Sure, it is either you are holding or you are trading either short term or long depending on your pattern which most long investors always use the trend following to benefit from the market and to do that, fiat is always the best means to hold and buy back at the bottom.

What does not profit from bitcoin?
What I know bitcoin actually brings benefits to us who use it as long as know how to use it. Maybe for the unfortunate it is people who do not know bitcoin.

Everyones loves to have a profit.
Bitcoin is there to help people to have a good
profit to have an investment but you need to
work hard for it.
This is not even about working hard; this is just simply about being smart. Normally, an experienced investor always know what to do and moments like this, they tend to buy more when people are scared of buying.

Yeah, if you do not have much to invest, you may work for it, which the platform has given the chance to help some acquire that but in all sense, you have to be smart when investing in cryptocurrency and not end up joining the band wagon of FOMOs and understanding the reason why you are investing in the first place.

BTC uses for payment is compared with USD value in general. so if BTC value rise over USD, the price of the shirt will be lesser BTC.
but for the future, i think BTC value won't be compared to USD value anymore if everyone use bitcoin in daily.

When the price of Bitcoin reached a certain amount that you want to take your profit, of course you will need to cash it out before you can say that you made a profit because if not, it is still on a risk of dropping its value. When buying online using Bitcoin it is automatically calculated by the software or wallet that you use for sending Bitcoin, every wallet has its own source of exchange rate (some have options to change the exchange rate source), for example the wallet you are using use the exchange rate of coinbase that wallet will base that value of current exchange rate of coinbase.
