I'll follow adaseb's advice.

In my opinion, main issue is inconsistency from eth devs.
They encouraged discussion last year and many got excited to see ProgPoW been implemented, just to let everyone down.
Even zcash considered switching to ProgPoW at some point on 2019 lol just to let everyone down, too.

Right now, It is similar. Even Vitalik is against ProgPoW as well as others. Seems like they prefer switching to POS than ProgPoW.
Too much controversy, opposition & noise around the elephant in the room: centralization vs decentralization.

I think the reason why it wasn't given much interest was because there was no profitable coin to mine using that algorithm. Basically the hype was on when word was out that ETH would fork to ProgPOW and they did nothing 2 years ago. So thats why there was no comments or submissions to your site.

Now that its a given that ProgPOW is going live with ETH then the topic should be more active. My advice is maybe wait for the testnet to launch with the ProgPOW algo and then bring the site back up so you don't waste your time and money if it gets cancelled or delayed again knowing the ETH devs.

Last year interest on this topic was very low, and comments show it: seven months without a single comment on this thread.

Keep in mind that ProgPOW comes to interest again as it seems to be considered for eth devs now.

Hi, I just created https://progpow.pro where everyone can submit and check benchmarks for ProgPow mining.

Very nice idea, but now when I need to take a look into such a database progpow.pro is unavailable....  Undecided

ya thats the problem with people hosting their own sites
within 1-4 years they go down, sometimes permanently, this forum has literally 1000's of these external 404 pages :/
i wish everyone just made their list here on this forum, that's kinda what it's best for Cheesy  haha
then the list is here forever, alot of people coulda used these #'s right now lol

Not my case pal, I have +4 years keeping monerobenchmarks.info online.
And for those who judge quickly: hosting has to be PAID as well as maintenance which is a DAILY task.

I'll see what I can do SOON.

When I heard that ETH was going ProgPOW I actually tried accessing the site only to find it was closed down.

Anyone know what hashrates the

R9 270X
R9 280X
R9 290

GPUs might get for ProgPOW. Got a bunch of these and wondering where to sell or keep. I think the only other source for benchmark is the Bitcoin Interest thread which uses the ProgPOW algo and some might post their hashrates there.

Added Mining Pool list: Bitcoin Interest, Ethereum (those supporting ProgPoW) and ETH (Testnet): https://progpow.pro/miningPools.php

Also, an ELI5 about differences between BCI's ProgPoW and ETH's ProgPoW explained by @OhGodAGirl: https://progpow.pro/index.php

For those benchmarking using ethminer, here is the sintax as suggested by Andrea Lanfranchi:

ethminer -M blocknumber -A progpow --diff 5 --HWMON 2

Example: ethminer -M 7770000 -A progpow --diff 5 --HWMON 2

Note: there is hashrate variance of +-10% among different periods (every 50 blocks) on ETH's ProgPoW.

Excellent initiative!
I suggest you add power consumption to the database. It would be helpful to see how each GPU reacts to ProgPow.

There is a "TDP" field to submit power draw in watts. Yet, it is up to those who submit to specify that.

here you go

8x1080ti's = 135  that comes to 16.875 a card

using simplemining

4 vega 56 using  windows 10 = 54  that comes to 13.5 a card

1 rx 580 using windows 10 = 5.67 which is 5.67 a card

these are at the pool numbers

I have found at the pool numbers run lower then  the gui reads

the 1080tis are clocked as follows:

six  100 core 150 ram 200 watts  these are evga hybrids and msi hybrids with built in water cooling

two 100 core 150 ram 175 watts  these are nvidia founders with blower motors  they do less hash due to power setting

the 4 vegas :

3 are MSI Video Card Radeon RX Vega 56 Air Boost 8G OC

1 is a sapphire

Those numbers seem extremely low, what are you settings and miner? I assume these are for ProgPoW BCI? RX580 should do about 9mh-10mh/s If you use MODDED BIOs, for ETH-hash you will see suffered hashrates because timings for ProgPoW are different. Stock BIOs is recommended for RX400/500 series.

ProgPoW Pool based voting opened: https://twitter.com/etherchain_org/status/1094661399157133312

If ethermine, nanopool & sparkpool vote yes. The majority of ethereum's hashrate will be supporting ProgPoW: https://www.etherchain.org/charts/topMiners

FYI, ProgPoW for BCI and ProgPoW for ETH are actually two different things.

Indeed. That's why on website's form there is a "COIN" field with bci and eth as options.

If zcash goes ahead with ProgPow too, it's going to be very interesting.

FYI, ProgPoW for BCI and ProgPoW for ETH are actually two different things. BCI hash-rates won't exactly equal ETH ProgPoW hashrates. this is because ETH ProgPoW includes a random number generator every 50 blocks. Hashrate variance is about 7% on Eth ProgPoW. Much more tuning has to be done for ProgPoW.

Any of those with AMD cards try --cl-local-work=256
With Nvidia try --cuda-block-size 320

That should give some hashrate increases

Is this for ETH Testnet or for BCI?

I have not tried Eth Testnet, but I believe those parameters should help there as well as for mining BCI.

It will work for both.
