I would like to invest $1000 in altcoins. What is a better investment do you think NXT or Ripoffcoin? I mean Ripoffcoin has full the potential still and NXT had already his pump but fell 4x in value compared to his highest point.

I would take NXT, but its not secure, you are saying?

What to do?  Huh

NXT Security Bounties

Hey all, I offering several bounties in the form of a new cryptoasset, Sentinelcoin (SentinelC). SentinelC is a 98% freely distributed asset on the NXT Asset Exchange! There is no set value yet, it is to be determined by the community. There are currently 16 bounties posted in different categories. Here is what we are looking for! (Information on Sentinelcoin here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-sentinelcoin-sentinelc-98-free-distribution-nxt-asset-bounties-711744

White Hat Hackers
We want to encourage people to store their NXT as securely as possible; thus, we are offering hackers bounties for hacking NXT accounts. There is a list of approved accounts available. The owners of these accounts have explicitly (very explicitly) given hackers permission to use any method avalible to hack their account. This can be done via brute force hacking, key logging, or anything else you can think of to obtain the account owners password. You will only steal one NXT from their account (you will not be rewarded otherwise) as evidence of your success. The reward systems for hackers and hackees are set up to protect the hackee as much as possible (and to protect the hackers from temptation) and to prevent cheating.

Hackers must register to try and hack a specific account. Only one hacker is allowed to be registered per account. Upon registration, the hacker has one month to hack the account! The hacker must provide their forum names, NXT account address, and IP address to be registered to hack. Those with dynamically allocated IPs only need to provide one IP address. Those with TOR must temporarily disable it to provide an accurate IP address. If the hackee gets their identity stolen or their computer stops functioning durring the period you have registered to hack them or anytime after, this information will be handed to the authorities. In the US, you do not have to prove your innocence, it is up to the accuser to prove your guilt. I don't know about other countries but, if I were you, I would do research and/or find a way to prove your innocence in case another hacker does something malicious to your hackee! If you are interested in hacking accounts, please visit the White Hat Hacker's Pub here: https://nxtforum.org/project-sentinel/white-hat-hacker%27s-pub/

Hackees who report you asking for hints, directly asking for their password, or attempting to collaborate them for mutual profit are given your reward so don't even think about it! Your accounts, any accounts you attempt to transfer funds to, and your IP address will be blacklisted!

Hackers who report hackees attempting to give hints, provide their password, or collaborate with the hacker in any way are immediately given their reward for the account + 50% extra! Cheating hackees will be blacklisted in the same way cheating hackers are!

Hackees Wanted!
If you want to get some Sentinelcoin but don't know much about computer security, register to get your NXT account hacked! You will be rewarded for every week your account is under attack and does not fall into the hands of the attacker! Every month they stand up under attack, their weekly rate will increase! Hackees, please read the last two paragraphs of the Hackers section for information on attempted cheating and the rewards for turning in cheaters. If you are interested in getting you account hacked so you can improve your account's security, please go here: https://nxtforum.org/project-sentinel/register-to-be-hacked!/

Articles needed!
Project Sentinel is amassing a library on NXT network security and NXT personal security. You can get paid for either finding and linking us to articles or for writing NXT specific articles on the topics we are looking for! The reward for general or unoriginal articles is only 25% of the advertised bounty. The other 75% of the bounty will either go to the article's writer (if the article is already NXT specific) or it will remain as a bounty for anyone who can do an original, NXT Specific adaptation of the article you found. Please, If you have any expertise (or think you sufficiently google) on any of the topics below, go to the Project Sentinel Library to check out the bounties here: https://nxtforum.org/project-sentinel/project-sentinel-liberary/
  • General node knowledge
  • Iptables knowledge
  • SSL verification knowledge
  • Router/VPS programming knowledge
  • Encryption knowledge
  • Password creation and management knowledge

The Big Bounty!
Project Sentinel needs a way to test public NXT Nodes for DoS resilience. Anyone who can write a program will be rewarded with 100 Sentinelcoins!

Please PM me for the specifics on what we are looking for!

The hope is to eventually give out Sentinelcoins to node operators based on the scale and types of DoS their nodes can handle!

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your interest in Project Sentinel!
