Thanks! I promote Bitcoin through my ART because I believe that Bitcoin and Art represent the idea of absolute freedom. I'm a Bitcoin artist, and, of course, I accept payment for my handmade goods in Bitcoin  Wink
I know that and I understand it, and we have had this conversation before. You are limiting yourself immensely by refusing to introduce other payment methods outside of this forum.

My example is going to be stupid, but I am making it like that on purpose.
Imagine if I designed women shirts, but I only wanted to sell them to women with blue eyes and blonde hair. Why would I limit my business in such a way and turn down 3/4 women that enter my shop? It makes no sense to me. But if I insist on doing it, then I shouldn't complain about not having enough costumers and not getting the deals I am expecting.

Anyways, good luck!

Thank you! I'll try my best!

The sad thing is, most people could care less about the effort that went into hand crafted items.
Every item or service has its buyers. The goal is to find a community where such work is appreciated and has a value. That community isn't necessarily Bitcointalk, and the payment method you want to accept doesn't have to be Bitcoin. It's wrong to assume that this forum is a place to buy and sell everything for BTC just because it's the main topic of discussion. Oksana needs to find a place where the time she put into her work will be appreciated and adapt to how things work there. And if that includes not accepting bitcoin for her products, then so be it. It makes no sense forcing it, and that's what's happening here.

What a cool embroidery artwork you got there! I think many user will be interested to purchased your art if you will post this on the collectible section to help you gather funds for your sewing machine aside from your fund raising. People is not easy to convince for donation since there’s a lot of previous scam that use same method before as @pmalek already mention.

I suggest to do an auction for a cause using your artwork to get funds here instead of asking for donations.  Goodluck!

Thanks!

 Cry Cry Cry Cry

A talented seamstress makes $15-$20 an hour in the US, and my prices reflect that. A similar employee at a factory in China would make pennies.
I can’t compete with sweatshop prices, and I don’t want to.

People expecting big-box prices for handmade goods. And the sad truth is, most of the time those handmade goods are underpriced just to compete with this mindset. These customers don’t see the hours of design, standing in the fabric store deciding between fabrics, emails back and forth if someone wants a custom piece, and the hours of learning and refining the craft. It’s said that it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert on something. Since that first sewing class through today, I have accrued much more than 10,000 hours of sewing. When you buy handmade, you’re not just buying a dress or a purse. You’re buying the entire handmade experience. The next time you’re considering buying a handmade item, remember there’s a woman sitting behind a sewing machine in her basement, surrounded by mountains of fabric and years of experience, putting a piece of her soul into that item, hoping that you will get as much joy from the finished product as she gets from making it, and maybe she can pay some bills too.

The sad thing is, most people could care less about the effort that went into hand crafted items.

You see, with the global economy struggling, people are hunting for cheaper goods, even if it was made in sweatshops.

People do not even care about the quality of the workmanship that goes into a product... as long as it has the popular brand sewn onto it.

Fake brands .... fake people.

I completely agree, that's why I want to create my own clothing brand

According to your story here, you showed and did everything you could to get your sewing machine goal that you wanted to get and now you got it, I hope you can use it according to the good things you want you do.

I just noticed something in the Trust that you have, why is the one that participated void and you canceled their auction? It doesn't look good anymore, does it? I'm just asking? But whatever your reason, it's good and you got what you wanted.

Thank you for your support and your messages.

Congratulations you've got your goal, Brother sewing machine brands are the best compared to Juki and Siruba, I am a sewer myself and have never handled or used an automatic digitalized thread tension adjuster
You have to manually adjust the tensions to the fabric you're sewing, I don't know if we have something like you're using here in our country.

Here's a sample of what we've had in my friend's shop Siruba 747 series.

I tried to sell my artworks here, on twitter... but no sales...
As far as I know, collectibles are pretty popular here. Have you tried making those kinds of products and selling them in the collectibles section? I'm not familiar with it but there is no other choice since your product is quite niche. I don't think things will change even if you tried to make a thread on the Services board since your service/products are not really in demand here.

How did you try to sell on Twitter anyway? Do you just make a new account and start tweeting here and there? If that's the case, I believe your marketing will produce no result.

Thanks, unfortunately there was one sale for $85. I'm sorry...

I tried to sell my artworks here, on twitter... but no sales...

These days, like others advised, you need to gain an audience and also more reach. I mean they're people who sell such arts and make multiple sales. So you need to be steadfast and follow the niche gradually, whenever you make enough funds go for ads on any social media or even on google adwords, that's if you own a website. Given time more people will discover you and patronize you. Bitcoin is a huge niche and I've seen people who are obsessed with bitcoin arts, they purchase cloths, arts, bangles with the bitcoin logo. It's a huge, fast, growing niche don't relent, keep it moving.

Do you sell your paintings and other things you make?
...
I always rejoice and respect such people who create beauty. You are certainly talented; maybe you should try to organize some kind of online store in another place. Here, people also have goals to accumulate more Bitcoin. The idea of hodling is always supported. There are many places on the Internet where people love art; I think they will help you much more than here.
She does. I tried proposing the same thing when I first heard of her and saw her creations. But she seems inclined to only sell her handwork for Bitcoin. That's too bad as it adds plenty of limitations to a niche with already limited interest. There really should be no reason why she couldn't use a traditional marketplace, get paid in fiat, and then invest a part or all of it in bitcoin if her ultimate goal is to get BTC.

@5Ksana
Have you made any noteworthy sales since last commented in this thread in February?

Dear @5Ksana_HandMade, you should not reveal your facials here because this is a public group and there are a variety of people here who could use the picture you just published to do harm or impersonation, therefore it's best if you mask the face before putting it here for everyone to view.
Your work is visually appealing and remarkable. As MainIbem stated, you appear to be genuine, therefore try out and monitor the board he suggested, as you may be lucky to win a large sum in any art contest there.

I noticed she hasn't reply on this topic since the last 3 days and I hope she founds our suggestions interesting and helpful to her.
Maybe she's busy with her art work, who knows what she may comes up with this time around as she always have some beautiful designs. I can't wait for you to get it uploaded here.
