There’s a lot of good projects that is under top 100 and to name a few, Mb8coin is my option because of its own technology. I also saw a good project Cartesi but they are still inactive, so watch for that. If you plan to invest outside the top market make sure to study about it and You still have to hold the top altcoins for security purposes.

you only grab top coins on the cmc . the names that you mentioned on the op were all good but what i dont really like is that your budget is only 100 usd ? and your still looking for more additions ? welp i think 100 usd is only good at one to two coins but more than that , you need more extra funds to be able to make your diversifcation look worth it .

I would say if you want to invest 1000 dollars per project, maybe you can drop the investment and increase the project number? That way instead of putting 1000 dollar into lets say 10 projects, you can put 100 dollars into 100 projects, that would be a lot smarter since at least you can hit one big earner and make up for it thanks to that, few of them and you would be basically doubling your money.
I would say 100 is too much for the number of projects but I would say 200 dollars would be better, this is all of course considering you are only going to invest 10k in total. If it is any lower or higher you can change the numbers yourself but I would say have at least 30-40 coins you invest to make it more possible to hit one that will gain a lot of money.

ARK was one of the top 100 coins before If I am not wrong it! This coin had big potential but right now they are underrated, maybe because of their lack of marketing! Blocknet is a coin that everybody loving because everyone loves the decentralized project and Blocknet is the best Dex exchange, so, they have great potential! Besides these, I think Kucoin, Theta, Nexo, Enjin are very good coins which are outside of the top 50!
I think so too,,, I remember them quite well in terms of threads and activity, just like a lot of other alts you mention (like Enjincoin also). Like most alts,,, the idea was really cool and the tech was even cooler but it is not just marketing to me it is the lack of users and real use case.
the position of Syscoin is still safe, there are 172 Coinmarketcap, and listed in the Binance exchange, the volume is also good, but the performance of Syscoin in the last few years is not good, if you look at the chart of Syscoin it is very scary, but the potential for increase could occur friends! 
Syscoin has potential to grow up more, I read some recommendation about them on tradingview.

This is one of the coins in which I invest probably the most. I became interested in it over 3 years ago, when its price was around $0.01. Until now, I keep most of the coins and do not intend to sell below the new ATH.

I'm only budgetting with around $1000 for each project, so the risk/reward scenario is pretty significant for me.
How many projects you are planning to invest with?
There's a lot of good projects in the market but I would say it's hard to recommend as I don't want to be understood like shilling a certain coin.
I think you should consider a short term investment also, considering you have a good capital you'll definitely earn a decent income once these altcoins will rise, I am referring to altcoins in the top 100, some of them are still undervalued until now.
First off all why you have intention to choose 100 below project based on coin marketcap? Why don't you choose top ten project which I think it will be more profitable. Like Litecoin or Ripple which is have a low value right now. Because I believe these coin litecoin or Ripple are potential coins. You will see when the bull run comes especially for bitcoin then the both coin will goes up as well. Take a look three years before when bitcoin price had been increasing then almost altcoins price were increasing as well especially some altcoin which are in the top. Ripple price at that time was tauched $3 but it is price juse below $1 which I think it is really a good chance to buy.
Viacoin is a great project. The developers working on the team are highly intelligent and they stick closely to the ideas of bitcoin in the beginning. It wont replace bitcoin (dont think anything will) but I believe viacoin can be a great complement. About 95% off it's high price so a pretty good time to buy in.

Since you are looking for low cap projects, have you seen Dusk Network fundamentals? Just their team is pure brilliance. It's currently ranked in 344 on the coinmarketcap and i think that it is insanely undervalued at least after their mainnet goes public.
Do not try to invest altcoins outside the top 100 because there are many scam projects. You won't be able to find good projects there, just go to the top 50 coinmarketcap projects. Those are the best projects in this market and it will easily be profitable for you when the market goes up
TomoChain,Grin,Beam,Super Zero,GXChain,Waltonchain,Ark,Factom,Bancor,Metal,Fantom undoubtedly this list will big if you wanna invest in the promising cryptocurrencies below top 100 ranking coins those coins is absolutely potential in my analysis. Definitely you can find a lot projects after top 50-100 coins. Profit not depend only within the top coins. 
If you take projects that are not yet well known, you need to choose a couple of coins, because if you choose only 1 coin, you can lose all your money.
I see a big mathematical paradox here
On the one hand, diversification is good and increases the security of your investment. But on the other hand, what is the probability of finding two good ones from new coins? It's hard to find one, but two are even harder. Thus, by diversifying, we guarantee a loss of part of the investment. Maybe we should choose one coin if we are confident in our analysis?

You right, as far as I remember, the ARK was very high in the top 50 for sure. As for its potential, I do not agree with you. This coin had chances, but they remained unclaimed by the market. Competition is getting tougher and tougher all the time, and I don’t see any particular advantages of this project right now to think that it will succeed in such difficult conditions.
