Donations have been sent. Just to be transparent, these are the following people who hashed from at least the test period. They got full donations.

I threw 3 mhash at this overnight until I woke up, saw the block with no payout so I hopped on a pool. I'll definitely help out in the future! I was eeaAFx1tgwyLbkFrQPwCM4HNwErRiheVKR. Thanks Smiley

Love that you are waking up in the middle of the night and checking your miners!  Grin

awwww shame

There was another block flashed up from the 28th too but then disappeared...so I did wonder if it wasn't quite right.  Undecided

Oh well, let us know if you get it sorted.  Smiley

Well all I appreciate the help and everyone who stuck with me over night. It looked like there was a block found around 2 am my time, but payouts never happened and it never made it into the block chain. I'm not sure why, so I need to go back to the drawing board and figure out why. Unfortunately, with the hashing power I have and the current difficulty of the coin, it makes it hard to test.

Anyway, Earthcoin was kind enough to donate 20,000 EAC to me, so I'll be splitting that up accordingly to the users who hashed at least between the testing period last night. I will be out for a bit this morning so I'll make those donations happen this afternoon. Again, thanks for all the help and support and hopefully I can figure out what is happening and make p2pool work for EAC.

I think with all the DDOSing we are seeing you will attract some serious hashpower if you can prove this works and go live fulltime  Grin

Is there a fee and if so how much?

many thanks and cudos for your work on this it reminds me of the Bitcoin DDOS era....

Well a block hasn't been found yet so I'm going to leave the pool up over night. I want to say thank you to everyone who joined me to test. I just don't think we had enough hashing to get a block and this current difficulty, even though the diff took a drop. If you want to leave the miners working in here over night, hopefully we can find a block and test payouts, but if people want to leave and go elsewhere, I understand.

I hope to successfully get this working so I can contribute p2pool to the EAC community and help protect it. I will check back in the morning on things. I'm signing off for the evening.

I want to say thank you all for helping test this out. I'm going to keep this going until we find a block since we have a decent amount of hashers here. I really want to see this test through and successful. Please stick around if you want to. I'll be stepping away for a little while but will be back online in an hour or so.

I know I sound lame but what's the difference between a p2pool and other pools?

I got 3,5Mhs on another pool for EAC, I will change on that p2pool if it's better.

Take a look at my faq. It's just different. Some like it better. Some don't. It takes a couple modifications to the miner to ward off stale shares, but it's not that hard.

http://squiggie.com/pools/faq/

Please remember, this is just a test of the functionality. Also, we're geting high DOA rates on the pool which means people have some miner misconfiguration. Please take some time and read through the FAQ.
Thanks, those are long reads, expecially the wiki... I'll try to read them all and figure it out.

Yea, I know. Basically it comes down to running 1 gpu thread, lowering your intensity a point or so, and figuring out what your target diff needs to be and appending that to your username/walletID.

Hey squiggie!

I've never heard of or tried the difficulty setting before at the end of the wallet addy, but I tried using it the calculations that you stated. However, I am getting about a 50% rejection rate. Do you know why this may be? I am running two rigs, one 4,300KH, the other 3,500KH. I set them accordingly via the 0.00000116 * KH, but still getting crazy rejects.

Could this mess with the -w 512 setting I have already set up in the .sh file I run my cgminer with?

I am removing the dif modifier at the end now to see how it goes

Try setting your gpu setting to 1 instead of 2 or more. That helps as well with p2pools. Take a look at http://squiggie.com/pools/faq/

See that huge spike...that was me sending my miners in your direction for later (off out now)  Wink

Right off to watch the Hobbit

Thanks a ton! BTW, the second hobbit is great! If that is the one you're talking about. The first one is awesome as well!

Yep second one - loved it, particularly the NZ scenery.

Good to see you've got more people since I left!

Yep, we've gained some traction. We're still around 10 hours or so at this diff. I'd like to get to around 40MH/s to see if we can get a block before the night's over. Hopefully with some attention we can make it there.
