It is a good practice to always check the website addresses you visit. Phishing attacks always happen with similar written fake domain names.

Those are some great tips given on the site, but many of those are very obvious or known to us all. The best way to avoid getting phished is to google site before manually entering the site through url bar. You will highly likely get the real site from googles search engine or at least some information if that site is a scam. Secondly, make sure if you copy paste a link, make sure you are not a victim of clipboard malware. These virus usually end up changing what you have copied.
