Protection in the crypto industry has to go beyond just protecting your assets for sure. Your identity is also a very important factor as you don't want hackers to be tracking every little bit of details about you. That is why i always turn on my vpn anytime I am accessing any crypto website and forums too. You can never be too sure in this industry.

I agree with you. When people look at your lifestyle and you don't do any kind of job. Then people will doubt where you get the money from. Because people don't know about crypto yet. That's why they may think you are involved in some kind of illegal act. So if you have a job, you can tell them want you doing. And no one will doubt if involved with Crypto.

You are right and I think what leads to people exposing their portfolio might be as a result of showing off because I don't understand why someone would put himself at unnecessary risks when knowing how trickish humans can be. Also, even at keeping portfolios a secret let's also be at alert on how we talk, anyone seeking knowledge about cryptocurrencies should be properly educated and invest at his own terms so as not to bring unnecessary issues among friends and families. Lastly, let's protect our mobile wallets, if possible use an app lock to lock them just to be safe especially for those who gives out their phones to people.

I've read people asking and posting how to protect their wallet but apart from educating yourself on how to protect your wallet, private keys and passwords, It's also very important that you protect yourself from exposing your portfolio you don't go around telling friends and random people, coins that you are keeping.
And also It's important to have other businesses or jobs and not rely on all your needs to Cryptocurrency, people will notice this and they will think you are making a fortune from Cryptocurrency and they might target you.

So are you protecting yourself and how do you protect yourself and your family?

I think anyone bringing his friends and families to the crypto space should first and foremost educate them on how to be safe, and this includes how to secure their private keys etc; private keys should be treated very importantly as it is the only thing which shows one owns a wallet. Also, those who goes about making public their assets are only putting their selves to risk because it might cause envy among friends etc. Secondly, one should be cautious of those he/she invites to his home as well as who operates his smartphones as some people can be dubious.

I agree with you. The most important thing is to take care of your safety. I don't tell my friends about cryptocurrency. Only my closest people know that I'm doing it.
Just try to take crypto as a good asset but at the same time, i have told some of my friends about that. As long as you will never give your privatekey to your close friends and that will never happen that your amount will be stolen by your friend. I have experienced my friend was telling his friend about privatekey and his tokens got stolen by his friend. Just keep any important thing privately.

I thought a lot about this and you know, if you really earn on cryptocurrency, sooner or later it will be known to a wide circle of people. It all depends on what kind of information they will know.

Because this activity is in any case legal and interesting. Therefore, even telling similar things to your close friends there is a high probability that they will tell someone else to brag, then the person will disseminate this information and it may ultimately reach the “bad guys” or good porn with “bad intentions”. But what can be done in this case?

However, it should be pre-prepared fake private keys where a small amount will be stored, the size of which you determine yourself. But everything should look as if you are giving away real private keys with all your savings, in this case, the chances that you will be left behind are much higher. Of course, always keep in mind that you should not disseminate accurate information about your assets, this is what will protect you at the right time.

Firstly, it is far from necessary that people will come to you with requirements to give them your private wallets, because the information that they own must first be checked, because you can turn out to be a banal liar who does not earn anything on cryptocurrency. If they still came to you and require private keys from you under torture, then the best thing you can do is give them your private keys.

I agree. Apart from keeping your accounts safe and secure by putting up lots of security features to be able to keep your account accessed only by you, you must also be able to control yourself not to expose or share the contents of your portfolio to other people even to your friends and to the other people whom you trust. You must keep your data private and enclose only those information for yourself. Because no matter what security features you provide to secure your account but you keep on exposing your account or portfolio into other people, then it will all be nonsense. It is an important factor to consider protecting yourself together with your assets by not sharing such sensitive information that you are working with crypto so that those people who think that you are having fortune working with crypto will not be able to target you. To be able to keep yourself as well as your asset safe, you must be responsible enough to keep such information to yourself so that you can only keep yourself do have the access into your account and your assets.

I was reading the other day of someone who deleted his wallet application without taking note of his private keys, then I still wonder within me if people are yet to understand that private keys etc are to be guided accordingly and carefully. So in relation to what you said, everyone should be careful of how to protect their wallets, mind the type of friends you have and take appropriate actions towards your security. Also, keeping mum on certain issues and questions about your assets and how to invest reduces unnecessary prying eyes hence keeping you safe.

A good habit starts from ourselves, and then it will change in what we do. You are very right, if it starts from our own property to protect what we have, the crypto assets that we have will also be protected in accordance with the protection of ourselves and family.

Protecting the best we can is like saving us protecting ourselves

Yes. Having helcopter view on cryptocurrencies, my friends think it's only Bitcoin and someday I will become billionaire.
I have now stopped discussing my involvement in crypto with my friends. The more you spread it, there are more chances getting exposed.
So wise thing is to keep it limited and also controlled.

You are right and I agree with you. The first thing is to ensure the security of our wallets and for those that writes their keys, backup phrases on paper, it is wise to be careful of those you invite to your home or those you leave the comfort of your home to as most humans are wicked. Secondly, it is very important to lie low on your crypto assets and also mind people you hang out with for fear of jealousy which leads to other hateful things. And lastly, even if you want educate people on crypto, mind the way you go about it make sure they understand what they are getting into so as not to attack you especially during bear market.

I protect all the assets that I have just by making this my own privacy and no one knows but myself. starting from wallet, private key, password and others related to cryptocurency that I have.  and I also don't publish or expose anything I have on social media. because in my opinion to maintain privacy it must be in privacy.

yes, as long as MAUT doesn't pick me up then I think my family / closest people / friends / anyone will never be able to find out the assets that I have now. unless I have personally written a will, maybe the people closest to me will know in advance about my crypto assets. so of course I protect myself by not letting anyone know about my wallet key.

If I tell everyone on here how much of coins or $$ I have in my wallet won't make me a target because on here no one knew me, its only risky to say words about your worth offline especially to people who know where you live

t is very good to take precautions to defend your assets, however taking into account that no protection is 100% guaranteed.
Unfortunately, if a hacker really wants to enter your computer, there is almost certainty that he will succeed.
So, be careful.
Above all, not to notice ...
You can still be sure of protection, at least by 99.99% if you are able to use an hardware wallet. If you can be careful in not giving your pass code to someone else, then you are safe. Giving it out is bridging your security.
Then, you should also try as much as possible, not to reveal your worth to anyone, maybe out of pride or anything, because that might make you a target. By virtue of this, professional hackers will not rest, until they get to the root of your security.

Using as a medium's choice for connecting to the internet world of the website and application, investors describe as hacked with as little as one to give maximum protection to avoid risks. When I was younger, I was a hacker and now I'm still working with the hacking plan as a hobby on a wide internet desktop entrance.

There is only way to protect yourself from hackers as that is not to trust anyone but keep investing and holding but never panic as hackers are so clever. We should protect our money for not investing it in unknown projects as mostly are introduced by hacker as they will be able get our money by hacking account better use safe wallet and not to share the private key with anyone.
all storage facilities we use also have the risk of being hacked. but I try not to save investment assets in exchange but my wallet. I only keep assets for trading in exchange. it is also not for a long time, when I get a profit then I will withdraw money from the exchange. as much as possible not to make mistakes on yourself in storing assets in a personal wallet.
