Protest no go save us from bad government but e go start a movement wey if we continue, we fit end the bad governance for the country. If the protest dey successful, e go create awareness for the problems dem wey dey the country to foreigners and people for the country and if nobody sells out, we fit organized ourselves for the next election and vote in people wey we want and stand to support our votes to make sure it counts. Protest is a step in the right direction because of we no do anything, nobody go come save us.


Protest has help other countries to have a more responsible government, if na better country wey we dey, the president supposed step down when the heat of the protest gets to him. The protest never heat up well but sha make we dey watch. Tinubu was the leader of the protest against former president Goodluck Jonathan when things weren't going well so him no fit stop this protest wey dun start so. Make him take this one as warning because Nigerians wey dey today no be the Nigerians of the old. People eyes dun dey open and small small we go take our country back from this thiefs.

Protest is a fundamental human rights. It is a tool to bring government to accountability. No matter what the government are doing to intimate us we won't back down. It better to protest than fold our hands and do nothing, with the protest the government of the day will understand that the citizens are not happy with their policies that are not yielding any positive results. Maybe they will sit up knowing fully well that they are sitting on gun powders. I will not be among those that will keep quiet and watch things continue to go wrong while I can protest. OP make I use your topic take talk something for this protest of a thing say protest fit save Naija from bad governance, me I get that strong believe say if this matter happen for government to reduce fuel price say this protest go be one of the best protest so far I no go lie you. Imagine say price of fuel drop to #200 tell me if things go dy as high as e dy now starting with transportation moni and other things? Me I see say small hope dey and if by the grace of God that small luck we dey find them unlucky am things go come back to normal. Protest doesn't seem like the best of option to resolve the failing economy but what else could be the solution aside what the youths are doing. From what I have seen as a Nigerian all these years is that the government are no longing for any peaceful settlement and has pushed the people to an extreme where violence remains the suitable option. Looking from what Kenyans are doing, I feel like that is just 20% or less of what Nigerians have installed on this protest, it looks kind of dramatic but it's just the starting and in a way I do not blame them because of how much we've held the suffering. Normally as we dey talk am, "dem cup don full" and if they decide to shed blood of the people then it is just putting in more wood to the fire because these people are ready to die already (from the video they were facing those officers, imagine if he opened fire).

The government should do something, now it is early than when a lot of disasters is already happened, not even the government are saved this time. It's supposed to be a peaceful protest but as we know not everyone can be that peaceful, as be say water don pass garri and e no funny to see the economy this bad and keep quiet.

Initially the protest supposed to be peaceful one but from the past experience, eh get this strategy wey the government dey always come up with to make the effort of peaceful protesters to be waste, them go forcefully change the whole narrative from the Initially planned protest to violent one wey go lead to riot.  Normally once those government thugs start, the protesters go wan retaliate and I no go suprise if people secretly go on this protest with arms, cause some people done use the lekki toll gate incident wise up, and if they up the military or police open fire at protesters they go retaliate back, anyways we pray for a successful and peaceful protest tomorrow however, make everyone dey careful.

This hunger protest was instigated by the event that happened in Kenya where demonstrations were leveled against the government which bent the government to reverse some of its policies that affected the economic situation and lives of the citizens. Although the hunger protest was something a lot for people regarded as an action long overdue due to the frustration over the rise in food prices, the deafening government programs towards salvaging the economic problems as well as the topical economic crisis.

If people protest in Nigeria, they're completely 100% in the right to ask for change. Of course though, every time people protest, very often they're met with violence from the ruling class no matter how peaceful their protest might be. Revolutions turn violent only because the ruling class initiates the violence through various means.

As them say when Democracy fail it results to violence, there is nothing wrong with protest is part of democracy but our leaders don't see it that way. They will always see protest as a threat to their government no minding the demands of the protest,  its really unfortunate for our dear nation. The Endsar protest I didn't join because it was faceless,  there was no leadership and it was violence that's why its failed. But this year own is different there is leadership and it won't be violence as Endsar, I know some youths body are already kicking against the protest,  its normal everywhere not everyone will join to change status quo of the nation,  The NANs has declined from the protest, they were bribed but that won't stop all from exercising their right to protest. In cause of the protest let's not destroy our properties,  its ours properties anything that is built by government is for our common use, so we shouldn't burn it down because of protest, that's my single advice,  OP believe it or not this protest will be successful,  the president has already addresses some of the demands but its not enough.

The only reason I believe protest will not help matters neither the violence is because our leaders can go extreme miles to do anything more especially when it has to do with power like killing young youths. Power is so dangerous and it seems not every leader can rule rightly, you see this thing called government and politics including the high paying jobs in Nigeria especially the oil and gas sector are just full of shit and bias. Nigeria has a long way to go but if considering protest as a solution sounds right because when all this get to the media world wide others will also have to judge concerning the government but, our leaders don’t give a fuck rather their thought is just to take anyone down who try to rubbish their government. In every democratic government, protest is necessary because that's the only way government can recognize the grievance of it's citizens but it's so bad that protests that ought to be a peaceful one in most cases are being hijacked by hoodlums to destroy properties and other government facilities because in the past I have witnessed protests turn into violent one and causing human disturbances hence the reason why security operatives invade in some circumstances.

However, no matter the state of the nation, thinking about going back to military regime will be the worst because humans deserves freedom of speech so if military hijacks the government today it will be difficult for citizens to air their opinions and grievance towards the government because everything will be done authoritatively without caring about the opinion of other arms of government. We shouldn't think about using force to get what is right in this country, all we should think is for incorruptible leaders who will have the interest of the masses at heart.
