Pump and dump group are good only if you know the admin in the group, because he's gonna give you hints on the coin to pump but if you don't have an info about coin to pump you might end up losing your fund

I think it is completely waste joining in those pump and dump telegram groups because people who are pumping will always make a good profit but the rest of the people who bought the coins will stuck. Control will be in the hands of the admin of that pump and dump group.
Yes, I also agree with you that it is better to join or invest in very good coins/projects and also use good exchange than you taking part in pump and dump projects. Take your time to do a very good research and be sure of the potentials of the coin before you invest in it.
