The statement was just released.
Long story short:
1. We finished the block explorer and discovered a premine of 15,482,256 Quarkbar
2. We traced the premine and found 97,7% still in a small amount of wallets
3. We updated the source and excluded those wallets
4. The scam owner will get the following message when he tries to open his wallet
5. With help of an exchange we could freeze one of the trading accounts of the scammer with about 0.4 BTC in it

Also let's have a vote of POS being added to the code? i mean the question of chain security comes up constantly with people claiming they can fork with a calculator. Let's put that one to rest.

The code is currently being reviewed by the CRF and will be merged soon.
The update will not require any re-sync and only makes the configuration of node-entries obsolete.
For all you who want the DNS-Seed now, add this node to your configuration:
It currently contains 5 nodes, more will be added when discovered.

How did this coin become the first DGW3 when Evan from Darkcoin coded it all ?
f0o from obfuscode knows the dev of darkcoin. When the float problem occurred he took a gamble and implemented it before Darkcoin even got up to do it. It worked out great! One of our developers who's taking care of quarkbar had recent mail-contact with evan and talked about the 32bit issue.
Evan then told him that DarkCoin is rolling DGWv3 which relies on integers only instead of double floats (which cause the 32bit issue).
Our developer then decided to implement the DGWv3 as well and make it effective in very near future (Block#232500).
We're now on Block#249343, DGWv3 is running since a while now without known issues.
