. This is a real life example of an area of improvement that we as a bitcoin community can improve upon (making resources available to educate the bitcoin-illiterate person.

Btw, do you guys have suggestions of where I can point him to for a good SIMPLE education and way to get started?

This guys just isn't bitcoin-illiterate, he is computer illiterate and google illiterate as well.  There's probably no hope for him.
Yeah I suspected as much. But I sent him some links in hopes that he will learn from them. And there's a remote chance he will learn enough to use it some day. He showed enough drive to at least spend some time looking.

I dismissed bitcoin the first time I heard about it. And now I run an online store accepting it.

How did he find the website if he didn't know about Bitcoin (or at least not enough to know preev)?
He must have found it organically by searching through a search engine looking for knives

looking at http://www.coindesk.com/ and see BTC = 128.98$

looking at http://preev.com/ and see 119.3$

that looks confusing for me and for sure for other newbees also

edit: sorry now I saw that the 119.3 is from Bitstamp but it is still confusing for me to see bitstamp and Mt.Gox with this price difference

This is one of the reasons this was made - Bitcoin Price Index

What do you think of the CoinDesk information center?

This will be updated with new guides and additions to the existing guides to keep it up to date.

Any areas you feel it needs to cover let me know

Thanks

the reason there is no information out there on spending bitcoins is because i've come to the conclusion that unless someone is buying miners or electronics they really don't want to spend bitcoins.  No one spends them.  It's going to be the thing that holds bitcoin back the most.  People need to spend bitcoins, help people learn how to spend bitcoins, and show them how they can save a shitload of money buying with bitcoins.

what You are saying is that I should not buy or sell through mtgox? where will I get good pricing from?
thanks
I recommend using campbx.com in conjunction with dwolla.com

MtGox won't allow you to withdraw your bitcoin in US Dollars currently

Dwolla works only in the united states right now
Where are you located?

Europe = Germany actually I am looking for an international Dwolla option

This is probably your best option: https://www.bitcoin.de
Lower fees and great volume considering your location. It looks like a peer-to-peer exchange system.
If you need something more straight forward like MtGox with even lower fees then try: https://fbtcexchange.com

MtGox has some issues with withdrawal right now but if you use them in the future then simply trade on the EUR market and request a SEPA transfer to your bank account. No need to pay conversion fees from USD to EUR and then pay expensive wire fees.

Here you can find all markets that trade in EUR: http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/currency/EUR.html
