Once you stop being a newbie that should go away

You where right. Now it gives the same warning but not the "you need to wait another 360 secs" again, and i can actually post.

You still have a time limit, so be careful. It just goes down a little with more activity.

The whole time limit wasnt the issue, the problem was when the warning came up.
My post didnt came through, but somehow the timer got set again. Now the timer is still 360 secs, but at least it doesnt start when i get that message so i can atleast really post.

The timer gets reset after every attempt unfortunately.

It's weird newbies can't post anywhere.  Huh

See here:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/newbie-restrictions-15958

You need to have at least one good post and wait up to 4 hours before you can post into other non-newbie sections. Makes sense really to avoid any spam throughout the forum, though it can be slightly confusing for newer users.

Yes, that's correct. Messages and searches also count.

Hi everyone.

I have a questiin regarding posting in a populair topic. If i type a message and post it says a new message has been posted. Then i have to wait another 360 secs, and another new message has been posted and it says it again. This repeats itself and i cant post.

can i do something about this?

Everytime you log in or try to post it resets the clock so you have to wait 360 seconds again. The time gets lower apparently the longer you are a member.

That's weird, when I get this message, all I have to do after getting the warning is press the "post" button once again. Works immediately, never had this 360sec limitation (?)

Maybe that's a factor when you try to type two separate Messages within 5 Minutes (Forum Anti-Spam/Flood protection) ?
