People just selling their alts, cause they are scared of BTC. I think when btc is going to correct in the next days, we see some alt pretty hard pumping
Peoples were selling both BTC and alts due to the events in the most populated country in the world, was certainly a dramatic fall in some sense, the news dropped as a tsunami over crypto.
I also sell 50% of my bitcoin for the securing my investment and the remaining 50% were still holding into my wallet for the reasons of believing into bitcoin ability to survive. Moreover, I cannot sell my altcoins because I assume that after this banning of ICO's in China it will increase again and if my speculation happen that is my chance to sell all of my altcoins.

It is so strange, either it is weak hands or a really smart strategy! No-one knows, might be some whales into it

It is just a nature of trading after a huge dump, there is aways a new pump. I think people should stop panic when price falls them and be patient a little bit to wait and hold a little.

OP obviously youre right about the thoughts youre throwing at allthe panic sellers out there.. But still, the FOMO gets most of them.. and if its not the FOMO, its the "easy" way to jump aboard and get back in when the ship almost sank ...

But often people fail with the latter, so they just panic early to minimize their losses and exit

most altcoins are recovering after dramatic loss. It will take weeks for some coins to be back at place. So, don't you dare to sell them while you in loss. Wait till the next crypto rally.

Depends which kind of trader are you. Day and swing traders most probably either take profits or take a cut loss as fast as they can. I would rather choose a long trade though as it don't need me to monitor every hour, less hassle and stress.
A plan long trade does not mean you are holding some altcoins and wait the price of them reaches to your target, it is holder, not is trader! If you really want to start long trade, try start 1 demand order/week first, then continue with one month or three months (monthly and quarterly). Final, if you are big boy, 1 demand order/year still enough for give you good profit.  Wink

I think that there's a lot of tricks in crypto trading that whales use to lure cheap coins from weak hands.

I'm a panic seller myself. Always sell too early and get less profit Sad

I think it is better not to link your trading account with a bank. So that you can hold for the long term and do not sell for fiat.

No, people wants to get the fast money, some times they trying to move to the bitcoin to trade for the short term. and you can see now a lot of the people already moved to the altcoin again, some coin gets pumped very hard right now such as adex and Monaco.
Remember about 3 4 months ago. There were a few cryptocurrencies that pumped harder than them everyday. I hope that bullish trend comes back so we all earn more money  Grin
Just stay positive! Anything is possible in the crypto world. Just believe in your coins and don’t give up on them just under panic or negative emotions. That time will return soon and we will be again enjoying grand profits. I wish too that soon all the coins again go in dumping phases.

Bitcoin price was around 2250 USD when they paniced.
Now it is 4k+ USD and if they want to invest again they can buy only half bitcoin with the money they get.

Actually its around $1900 when people panicked. But it gained around $2900 in matter of hours or days then now we are seeing it around $4000+ and I'm sure that those who panicked is now regretting for selling this bitcoin.

Of course I got worried but didn't panicked and just sell all my bitcoin. I just hold and if ever I wanted to dump, I will just let go of few and not all of my stash. Bitcoin now is too valuable and I don't want to miss the opportunity to make huge profit in the future that is why I don't panic sells.

You are right they are regretting probably. Actually the ones who exchanged their alrcoins to bitcoin were the luckiest ones. Altcoins are still very low. And they got some BCC also.
But the ones that exchanged their all cryptomoney to fiat, they lost really so much...

Bitcoin would not be correcting too much at the given moment. Its only going to rise from here and all the altcoins which are really going is going to rise much more faster. So selling is not the solution its only the opportunity lose for them to make some money. Instead one should be investing in btc and altcoin from now to get some quick gains.

It was also similar in previous summer. I dunno why but summer times are so hard to operate your crypto investments. And summer plus fork rumours caused this shit. I hope they could get their coins back.

Actually i cant stop myself from checking so often. Even sometimes i check blockfolio at nights. But it is better not to touch them in loss. If you didnt buy a shit scam coin, they come back sooner or later.

And that's the thing that anyone should keep in mind. Yeah, altcoin market is pretty often and easily manipulated. There are numerous pump and dumps every day. But the important thing is that if you invested in an altcoin that you truly believe is worth it, then it won't die just like it if you'd done at least some brief research and decided it has a future. I mean there are many ICOs and stuff popping out everyday, there is no chance all of them survive out there on the exchanges and in our wallets. But some of them have that idea and particular goals, so it's not like all altcoins will disappear one day over night. Buy only the one that you feel are worth it and have any reason to exist and survive. And don't cry if you bought an easily speculated coin that has no real value, but is used by whales to make profit of it and runaway from this coin for good.

the only mistakes i made where emotional, im not rly a panic guy, but i tend to get bored or annoyed with projects and then i sell (never with loss) but sometimes with minimum profit, after i sell it goes 100-200% almost always.

so if you sell, dont let it be a mistake but a calculated choice

Day traders make employee money and work employee hours. Holders make business owner money.
