What is important for me when I consider a new project:
1. Is the WP and roadmap complete and have all necessary information?
2. What is the expected position of your coin in the market and what makes your project different from the others?
3. How you you plan to interact with community?
4. Any interaction/cooperation with other currencies/projects?
5. How do you protect your project from abuse and hackers?

These questions are the good question to be asked to the team before joining the project, we need to know the whole thing about the project. And your questions can represent the whole project if those are being answered by the team of the project.

this be a fun thread, if you were at a conference or an expo for cryptocurrency.

You came across an expo booth of a new project, making a new coin/token etc.

What are the top 5 questions you would ask them? about their platform/

What are the main things you would like to learn about them? about their project?

this could be fun, love to hear all your responses
I would ask them what their longterm plans for the project are
Where do they see the project in five years?
What are they doing to achieve those goals that they have set for their projects?
Are there going to be any products added to the project in the long run?
What is their price expectations for the coins by the end of the year?
It helps to ask hard hitting questions as that is the way that you make sure that you are investing in the right project

1. What are the advantages to invest in this project?
2. What are the weaknesses? (There's nothing like a perfect project)
3. What exchange(s) will/do you plan to be listed on?
4. How do you ensure safety from scammers/hackers?
5. Who are your advisers. Information regarding the team and where is the project based out off?

2. Can you project work without your token?
3. Why are you doing ICO instead of selling your tokens directly?

Well this is a good question I guess. Here it is
How the project will be benefited to the investors
What's new in the project than other projects
How good is the team and about the growth of the project.

A good project is always not an end in itself. It has to make provisions to work with other platforms, future purposes and the class of exchanges. So responses in the future is better for me instead of immediate solutions.

I never ask about the project because they don't have history, so I only see the progress. All I want to know already on white paper and road map, as long realistic and fit with my knowledge I will support it with investment. Most people will not agree with me but I think read first ask later is better.

Now choose a decent project is very difficult. Not all projects meet expectations and this is sad. To choose a rule project, first you need to study the development team.

yes the question about "why does project need the blockchain" is good one, as sometimes thing don't need to use the blockchain tech really

the reason for the 5 questions i posted, is just the top 5 i meant

as there would be a more list of questions to ask.

many questions has been asked and there's always lots to ask which should be adressed by the team themselves right, but one thing that rarely seems to actually, truly be answered is:
why does it need to be on blockchain?!
