In many ways I want to say US in a leader and in many other ways I feel they are lagging behind...  Not sure who is in the lead but I don't really consider it to be a race.

"Which country will BE the 1st to Embrace BTC as actual currency"

Not sure what this means exactly. Can I have some clarity on the word 'Embrace' please.

Which people are doing the embracing?
And what does it mean exactly to embrace in this context?

what ever you think it means Smiley

In that case I will assume that it is the government of the country, and embracing means allowing people to trade it in for everything without criminalising them. In which case I agree the UK.

Greece clearly needs help, but they are part of the EU, so that will not happen.
Realistically, some "crazy" Libertarian island (or floating ocean colony) will be the first, not a "normal" country.

Crimea has been annexed by Russia, which isn't exactly in favor of bitcoin so I don't think that's reasonable.

I'm betting on Cyprus, small in size, heavily wronged due to the financial crisis and the first bitcoin bank has already been started there.

Or Crimea! They are also in financial crisis. But you make a good point, that it may actually be a country in financial crisis to be the first to embrace. If your own fiat currency is going down the tubes, then why not take a chance to embrace a new currency? If I was the dictator of Crimea, then I would develop the Crimeacoin and push that on all the Crimeans. (And of course, I'd premine it at least 10%, well maybe 90% if I was a dictator, but I wouldn't tell anybody).
