Agreed, it's a rather low ticket price @ less than 1/16th of the prize value. (Actually, 1/16th of the prize value is .0625 BTC, so you're saving an extra $8+ USD / .0125 BTC per ticket.)
In addition, we've decided to let the ticket sales run for one week only, until July 18th. Then we'll hold the raffle regardless of how many tickets have sold. We'll just keep "drawing" block hashes until someone wins the whole thing. (For instance, if there are only five tickets sold, then each participant will have a one-in-five or 20% chance of winning the big prize...unless he buys more than one ticket, then his chances dramatically increase.)
So let's keep this raffle secret. You'll have a better chance at winning.
