I'm not so sure with prizes awarded without any clarity at all .. Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh

I'm not so sure what you mean?

One winner will receive 0.1BTC, one ticket to enter costs 0.0065BTC
0.0065 for the 16 spots getting around 0.104 BTC, I think it looks fair and at least 4mBTC given to the organizers, a very good idea

Thank you! Smiley

this game if it is true that justice should use random.org??

We use the blockchain for this raffle. So a block that will be mined in the future will decide who the winner is.

Also, this is done for the forum, for the fun of it, not running a website. So I see nothing wrong with the edge.
There isn't anything wrong with the edge. I'm just saying that you will have a very hard time finding players to play, because it might take a while for slots to fill up, they could gamble vs the house on the exact same thing (block hash) with a higher payout, or play dice for a higher payout. Good luck with your raffle.

Ok. Let me start this raffle game. I will take slot 7. TXID is to be follow once slot are almost full. Goodluck OP.

That is fair, and I do not require you to pay until we see this almost filled up Smiley. Reserved your slot!

Cool. Just notify me when the raffle is almost full so that i can send my payment. I have many business to handle. See yah!

Will do!

Is not all gambling/lotteries etc basically the same thing? I doubt you can find alot of these things were there is no house edge or rake. And considering this is a 1/16 chance to win 16x your bet amount. It's not too bad. I'm not sure about what % you have to win 16x in a dice game, but I doubt this has worse odds.  Anyways, just posted this to see if it would gain any interest, as a test.

What do you mean by +EV?
On Bitsler.com (1% edge), the chance of winning a 15.38x payout (0.09997BTC payout) is a 6.4369% chance. In your game, the chance of getting the right block hash is a 1/16 chance, or a 6.25% chance. Bitcoinbetting.website also bets on block hashes and will pay out 16x for a 1/16 chance, or 0.104BTC in this case. By +EV I mean the player having a positive expected value. Maybe something like a 16.2x payout for a 1/16 chance. Obviously, this would need you to add some money to the game and not make profit.

There would be no point in me doing that, giving away free money just for the fun of it?

Also, this is done for the forum, for the fun of it, not running a website. So I see nothing wrong with the edge.

U dint say how the winner is decided...

Sorry, will include this in the topic.

You select a character between 0-f as those are the possible endings to a mined block's hash. Once it is filled up we select a block that will be mined in the future (Around 1-2hours after it's filled) and we check that blocks hash to see who "guessed" it right and wins it. Smiley

I doubt you will get a lot of interest, as it's basically betting with a 5% house edge (or 4% in this case, because of the prize vs amount). It's easier for people to deposit 0.0065BTC to some dice site, and go for a 16x multiplier or use BitcoinBetting.website for a no house edge vs the house game of trying to get the block hash right. Probably needs to be +EV for the player for people to be interested.
