look at it like this if you keep the faucet this coin will become a superstar due to the interest it will get change it it can be hyped but then fall. just find a way to get the faucet working properly also ask if you make best efforts to make fair distribution and it dont work how much of the coins will they get anyway also if people are paying others to get the coins they are just stupid as they can get it and sell it themselves
So is tihs coin minable or not seeing it is on blake yet no places to mine or any miner for it other than the distro that is being done by the main website.
Distribution of the coin is solely thru the faucet , this reduces the cost of entry and makes it so anyone with a computer can claim and get coins .
This helps improve adoption and is a great case for the goals of the coin which is pop up blocking services the more everyday people with computers that can get this coin , the more useful a pop up microtransactional blocker would be to any site or company
Yeah I do like the goal of this coin too. I have about 4 or more popup blocker services running right now and to be honest if they provide a add-on for chrome would be good to have and blocks all ads, I would be sure using it. Sick of having to use multipul addons. One addon would be nice maybe this can provide such a service.
That would be a great idea about the add on for chrome will help adoption amazingly , easier to add and use for consumer and business alike .
Another idea for this too if a chrome addon got made to offer free service and also to offer premium service using coins for a monthly subscription to eradicate 100% of ads + extra features that free users do not get maybe have a feature to be smart and adaptive too so like people can right click on an add disable and it also updates your catalog of ads and adapts it for future ads like
I was thinking something similar , because you dont wanna be paying all the time , oh disconnected from internet, now its requesting it again or clicking on it again a few minutes later and asking , so some time duration involved in it and some control settings perhaps
only problem i see with it would be, best option would most likely require either knowing the persons IP/ use a cookie like the faucet or to add communicating with each other which might not be very private, but then again , adblocker and most ads are not exactly private they all gleen info currently , they are usually targeted as is now so thinking about it not it doesn't seem like a problem really
Yeah you can use cookie info and even IP but to be honest many do not mind about IP I not bothered so long as ads are gone am happy sick of popup central on YouTube videos totally pisses me off having to watch 30sec ads before playing video that other people get paid off. sites should look for better ways to bring revenue in than using ads, still can bring a good income but still annoying the ads that get placed on it and give no real value other than another person to profit off.

What are you talking about ? There's a win32 wallet that works flawlessly on my win7 machine, don't know about any problems regarding it thus far.
And hitting exchange is always possible, but popularity is falling with some recent developments on the coin, i hope they resolve it and return this coin to life.

faucet will not open now. raiblock.net devolopers decided to auction their distributional Mra in google group. so they are now selling Mrai. not giving for free.

The proposals I've heard are:
Drop based on BOINC mining: I view this is similar to plain old PoW, people with the most invested in mining hardware get everything. Better than traditional wasted PoW since it's more useful but it's not particularly more fair. This is also hard to set up and it's unknown if it can be gamed long term
Longer faucet times: In principle this solves the load problem but it's also easy to game. As someone else in this thread pointed out there's no way to prove an identity on the Internet. What we can prove is IP, browser cookies, time spent on capcha. If we made the time longer, what someone can do is get a multitude of IPs, each having their own cookie expiration timer running and very little effort solving N capchas. This person would get rai out of the faucet at whatever N they could swing.
Continue with faucet distribution and cut off when amount reached: This is still effectively a sale. Capcha clickers get paid and people wanting large quantities of rai do the paying. The only difference between this method and the auction is capcha clickers get paid rather than me. I don't begrudge them wanting payment though it isn't obvious to me how this is very different. At any rate I don't feel like running and developing a network when my time is monopolized by people who expect and downright demand the faucet be continuously operating for them.

Is there any possible multi pronged method , that can cater to multiple people option ? i ask because something too complex would obviously take time away from you and your work on the coin , but might also lead to more complaints but i think it might be more beneficial , like a random example, some people have plenty of time, some have non , some have hardware some have simple internet

If any agreement is made today and implemented then you have a huge amount of people who have joined the discussion and agreed to something, so anyone in the future complaining the faucet is not working and there has been an agreement of , "it gets topped up once a day and that's it" you will now have a small army of people that can tell people straight away the situation and help with those sorts of things, because i dont think many people were aware of it before
I'm definitely interested if anything could be agreed upon, I think someone pointed out earlier that he's seen countless threads discussing different methods with no conclusion and everyone unhappy.
There are people who are interested in the tech and see the possibilities, I think many from the weekend influx and outflux from the faucet being turned off were never really that interested. Maybe some though, we'll see.
