Hi guys,

I am getting the error message of the $RAIN staking rewards since 2 days ago.

Quote
Status: conflicted, has not been successfully broadcast yet
Source: Generated
Debit: 0.00 rain

Generated coins must mature 30 blocks before they can be spent. When you generated this block, it was broadcast to the network to be added to the block chain. If it fails to get into the chain, its state will change to "not accepted" and it won't be spendable. This may occasionally happen if another node generates a block within a few seconds of yours.

Does this mean someone who were staking at the same time has their block accepted faster than mine?

Is that a way to get these staking reward $RAIN appear in the wallet? Or I just lost all the coins that were rewarded from the staking?

If the staking continues, will these coins re-appear again?

Sorry if this is a noob question because I am new to staking and I couldn't find any answer to this.

Thank you.

Hello,

This is normal for a stake to end up like this as someone else has beaten you to the stake. The coins that you just staked, you won't receive in the future as that person that beat you to the block got the coins. Your coins just keep staking until you win a block so no need to worry when this happens as I get this a lot staking RAIN as there are a lot of people staking this coin now so the competition for stakes is very high. I hope this helps answer your question. Good luck!

Is anyone troubled by that fact they dont have a white paper yet?

The whitepaper was released in the discord or slack, maybe someone can post it here as I saw it on Twitter a while ago now but can't seem to find it sorry. Most of the activity is in these groups so you might be better off joining them, I personally don't join them because I don't have the time to join all these groups as I am in many different coins. I prefer to just come on this forum to get everything I need.

I'm all for reading it. I love the concept and seems like a good project, however it seems extremely odd the whitepaper isnt on their own website. That is first thing when it comes to validating a good coin from a shit coin. Sounds great, but honestly 808 Coin has a better whitepaper than Rain! I'm seriously surprised anyone has put money into this without that being available.

Yes I do agree that the whitepaper should be on their website, I don't believe the whitepaper that was released in the slack group was complete and was just a rough copy, maybe that is why it was not posted on their website. I'm not 100% sure as I'm not in the slack group but I hope someone from the group can post it in here for you to read.

The RAIN whitepaper that circulated in the slack was indeed an unfinished proposal. It is being worked on and when it gets published, RAIN price shall climb. I think this project is one to watch!

Thank you! I remember the dev saying that he is still working on the proposal and that it was just a rough draft of the whitepaper. I just hope that the dev has found some other devs to help him out on the project as he did mention that some people have reached out to him. While we all wait, its best to just keep staking and earn those extra RAIN as they all add up fast and can very well be worth a lot more in the near future. Maybe the dev can give us an update on whether he has found people to help him out on the project.

Hi all.

I'll get the explorer for RAIN up and running again.

Also would like to get an overhaul of the project in motion.

Working with a few people through PM on how to best achieve this - if anyone has any good ideas, don't hesitate to shoot me a message.

Also, looking to get a revamped team created. If you have experience in the crypto-sphere, and would like to contribute to a revitalization of RAIN, send me a message with your past experience (specific coin names not required - but rather what you've done for those projects) and how you think RAIN could benefit.

Will update soon.

Regards

This is good to hear dev, how is it going at getting some devs on board? I have put out a couple of tweets now asking people if they know of any good devs that can help out on the RAIN project and I have them directed to your profile here so I hope you get more messages. I think that with more hands helping on the project we could see RAIN be a top coin in 2018, so I'm willing to keep staking while we wait patiently for things to happen here.

Have put out a tweet as well. Thanks dev.

Hi all,

I have been trying to stake RAIN for a couple of days now. Unfortunately the wallet (MAC OS) does not sync up. It has been running for 2 days straight and I am at 27%.

What am I missing here? Any help is appreciated?

Thanks!

close the wallet, download the bootstrap from condensate.co and put it in your rain folder, then restart the wallet

Sorry for being a little daft, but where would that rain folder be on a mac?

I put it into the folder under show package contents, but that doesn't seem to help much there. Which location is the correct one?
https://image.ibb.co/iGCtBm/Bildschirmfoto_2018_01_18_um_21_55_55.png

Im actually on windows but I think it would be:

$HOME/Library/Application Support/rain/

or

/Users/username/Library/Application Support/rain/

hope it works Smiley

Thanks, though that folder in application support doesn't exist on my mac. I searched the entire HDD and couldn't find a rain folder which belongs to the rain wallet...

Any other person here use the rain wallet on a mac?

@nier00: Thanks for the tip. I added the nodes to the qt.conf file. Not sure whether that is the correct place. Hasn't done anything for the sync speed unfortunately ...

RAIN seems to be holding up well recently which is a good sign. I have also put out a couple of tweets about the dev needing some help with the project but so far no luck. I think once RAIN gets another dev on board then the project can move in the right direction. This could take some time but I'm really hoping that we see some developments sometime this year.
is there a more specific description somewhere what we need exactly? Like HW, IOT, Android/Web-Wallet,Masternode etc.. I have a couple of followers on twitter/FB but without a bit more details it does not make so much sense in my eyes..
Lets bring this forwards

Thanks and rainy times:)
