All current client downloads can be found here: https://github.com/raipat/rain/releases/tag/v1.1.1.0

Doesn't recognize wallet.
Every time requesting to wipe directory and let it reinstall everything.

Ver. 1.0.0.1 instead recognizes it without issues.
So, new ver. not working, no forking.

CoinExchange.io has also been informed of this change. We are awaiting their confirmation.

1) Ask the CoinExchange to remove the maintenance wallet, Until the end of September. They block the deposit of coin.

2) You have blocked the reception of private messages/  User 'dmnq' has not chosen to allow messages from newbies. You should post in their relevant thread to remind them to enable this setting.

3) Why does the site not work?    Will there be a new WPaper?

4) Does the project have problems with the SEC for SCAM?

what about new exchange?

As a community we decided it be best to first change the consensus algo (and fix the sh$t the original dev created). So, after the fork later this month, we will discuss next steps.
A roadmap, rainmeter (which is mainly a project of the German community)

1) CoinExchange.io confirmed that they will update before the fork block:

Apologies for the delayed response.

Thank you for the continued updates.  We will work to update the wallet ASAP.

3) I am NOT the original dev, nor the current dev of this project. I have tried to bring the community together. For that purpose I created a Discord server and cloned the original website (http://condensate.co) to https://condensate.io

4) The original dev (please see opening post) does not respond to any of our messages (via various channels). I am not aware of any problems with the authorities

All new wallets don't sync after this block 1328850

I didn't have this problem.

Quote
If - for some reason - you need to do a full resync,  you can download the bootstrap file from http://explorer.condensate.io/bootstrap.dat and put it in the same directory as the wallet.dat

After that, remove the directories:
- database
- smsgDB
- txleveldb

And remove the files:
- .lock
- blk0001.dat
- smsg.ini

Then, start the NEW wallet (again).

The wallet will start processing the bootstrap.dat.

Hi everyone,

We are sad to conclude that the fork, implementing the new consensus algo, could not be activated today as planned.
Too few nodes updated in time and the old chain kept being the longer one. Also new nodes had a hard time to find enough updated peers.

Therefore we need to reschedule a new fork and hope that enough RAIN stakers will update in time.

We picked a future block number:

1372000

(which is ~ 1 month from now)

We see that 2 weeks notice was too short, especially during the summer holiday season.
So we postpone the fork for another 4 weeks and will keep reminding the community to update.

Remember: you can update at any time, the earlier the better.

If you did upgrade already, thanks for your effort and support. But please upgrade immediately to version 1.1.1.0:

  https://github.com/raipat/rain/releases/tag/v1.1.1.0

(no need for dumpwallet/importwallet again!)

For everyone else: please upgrade tot 1.1.1.0 straight away.

Binaries for Linux (Ubuntu and CentOS), Raspberry Pi and Mac will follow ASAP.

You can now start updating your Wallet software. Please find the Windows build here:

   https://github.com/raipat/rain/releases/tag/v1.1.0.0

The source code to compile your own Linux-Wallet (or other):

   https://github.com/raipat/rain

The consensus algo will change at block 1328350. So, please update BEFORE then.

This version doesn't compile with boost 1.70 and your project doesn't accept issues. So I post the errors here.

You can now start updating your Wallet software. Please find the Windows build here:

   https://github.com/raipat/rain/releases/tag/v1.1.0.0

The source code to compile your own Linux-Wallet (or other):

   https://github.com/raipat/rain

The consensus algo will change at block 1328350. So, please update BEFORE then.

Because of a version upgrade of the database library in the WINDOWS wallet, you MUST perform a manual backup and restore.

(So, only for Windows users)

Please follow these steps:

1) Shutdown the old wallet

2) Go to %AppData%\rain  for instance C:\Users\{your_username}\AppData\Roaming\rain

3) Make a copy of the wallet.dat file and store it in a secure location

4) Start the old wallet again

5) Unlock the wallet: Menu > Settings > Unlock wallet   (uncheck 'for staking only')

6) Open the console: Menu > Help > Debug Window > Tab 'Console'

7a) Create a dumpfile with all the private keys. Enter this in the console (bar on the bottom):  dumpwallet rain-dump.txt

7b) This creates a textfile in the same location as where your old wallet executable resides

7c) Verify that this file is created and that it contains information. It will look something like:

# Wallet dump created by rain v1.0.0.1 ()
# * Created on 2019-08-22T15:01:48Z
# * Best block at time of backup was 1317512 (32f150b05f7efe4294a3df402a860a0a8efa18253c54d2c253bd588bf73b217c),
#   mined on 2019-08-22T15:01:09Z

Utdn24e8EQHbDS7TchXHCHiW6BBvYbEmBBjpB5bjFfJRJsZsfqv2 2019-08-22T13:31:08Z change=1 # addr=RCkyMQeSALmoZ37d833szhXAjV7leosa7V
...et cetera...

8 ) Shutdown the old wallet (again)

9) Go to %AppData%\rain  for instance C:\Users\{your_username}\AppData\Roaming\rain

10a) Remove the file: wallet.dat
10b) Remove the directory: database

11) Copy the file rain-dump.txt to the same directory as the NEW wallet executable

12) Start the NEW wallet

13) A new wallet.dat file is created in the directory above

14a) Once the wallet GUI is showing start by encrypting the new wallet.dat file: Menu > Settings > Encrypt Wallet
14b) Enter your preferred password (twice) and click on 'OK'
14c) On the following screen click on 'Yes' to confirm that you wish to encrypt your wallet
14d) The wallet will notify you that it will close, to finish the encryption process. Click on 'OK'

15) Start the NEW wallet (again)

16) Unlock the wallet: Menu > Settings > Unlock wallet    (uncheck 'for staking only')

17) Open the console: Menu > Help > Debug Window > Tab 'Console'

18a) Import your private keys.  Enter this in the console (bar on the bottom): importwallet rain-dump.txt
18b) This could take a while, that's normal. The required time is based on the number of private keys and transactions.

19) Once the import process is finished you can close the Debug window. Your balance should be visible and all transactions should be there.

[ YOUR ACTION IS REQUIRED ]

Important announcement: new consensus algo at block 1328350

As a result of the consensus vote earlier this year, the new consensus algo will result in 10% staking p.a.
Because it took a long time for the new consensus algo to be implemented (and tested) the (revised) new max supply will be 1.5B.

Everyone MUST install the new wallet before block 1328350.  This will be in about 15 days from now.
CoinExchange.io has also been informed of this change. We are awaiting their confirmation.

The final source code and wallet binaries is/are being prepared and will be published on GitHub as soon as they become available.
We will publish the download links on all available channels.
