Somebody just put a buy order on Gox for half a million dollars at $7.89     Shocked
I'm planning on a party and needed some coins to fund the pizzas.

What would be considered bearish? 6.50?

Draw a descending trendline from the recent 7.81 high - also it would have to break recent support from the last channel - which is in the 6.50 - 7.30 range.

Just watch what it does. I've been charting it from the mtGox datafor a while, and now the action suggests even a retracement to 7.00 wouldn't be bearish, given the new trendline it is ascending. If it breaks below and consolidates - a second chance to work in a new position.

Can't get too crazy over every wiggle, you know?

The prospects that bitcoin prices would likely rise to new 2012 highs was clear to us when prices moved above 5.2 USD. This was the time when we issued a rally call in our subscriber section.

Which time? Price rose above 5.2 four times this year already.  Huh

This was in May 2012

About time to start dumping Wink

There is nothing like a good extrapolation from historical data. According to that, the next big war should start soon. Which is impossible, as we all know. Ooops.

What's fueling the rises this time?

I was reading that the rises are usually accompanied by an increase in searches on Google but this time there isn't one.

The faith in bitcoin ?
one major reason for the latest rise can be found in technical analysis

The technical chart patttern over the long term shows a clear wave structure that will be shared on Sunday with new price projections.

My friend is pissed. I convinced him 48 hours ago to buy a bunch of bitcoins, and he didn't get around to it.

its far from to late...

Amen to that. He's texting me now and will probably get some tomorrow.

just watch a new all time high coming up
This prediction you make is based on?
Given the multiple adaption vectors that are in active development, I'm predicting $300 by the end of year. That's if even just one of them launches successfully.

Wow..major price spike across almost all the major exchanges - that doesn't happen often. That's probably the fastest I've seen the weighted average move up in a year.
Virtex is lagging behind a good buying opportunity for us Canadians

With an ask wall at 7.05 CAD or 6.91 USD.
