The long-term bubble downtrend has already been broken 3x, and continues to grind sideways even with ~30% base inflation.

True, as far as exchange rates. Without the base inflation, rates would likely be quite a bit higher than they are now.

Solution:  Everyone stop producing bitcoins and lets rig the protocol to issue rewards from transaction fees only.  Deflation!  Yay!!!

17,5k 24-hour volume. That's extremely low... Wonder when things are going to pick up the pace.
soon and the rocket will be epic

I think we're going to see some more dipping.  I going to wait out this buying cycle, I think.  I see a good chance prices go lower than the last times it's bounced around like this.

And how about that nice little mini-wall at $5.02. you weren't expecting that were ya Cheesy

Mt. Gox HSBC account has been offline for deposits for a while now. Their Japanese account is the only one for International wires. Dwolla transfers have also had some delays recently. There are a lot of alternative deposit methods to Gox for sure but wires have undoubtedly been delayed significantly during the week.

There is no way to know how the wires will start clearing up during next week, it could take a while for them to go through the backlog. Wires are approved manually after all.

I think that the previous sell off was in part due to expectations concerning the delays. That sell off was weak and continues to be weak at least for now. I'd say that we'll most likely see pressure to go up next week but who knows. We'll see. Smiley

Deposits to Gox have been delayed during this week, that is one reason for the low volume. I think it's actually quite bullish that there hasn't been a bigger sell-off, we could be seeing a major rocket once deposits start to clear up during the week to come. Something will happen for sure, this is calm before the storm.

At what day do you think deposits will start hitting Mtgox? Tuesday? Wednesday? I'm hoping you're right =)
