Hey guys, just noticed some weird altcoins in my wallet that iv'e never heard of before...
Anybody here know anything about those?
google didn't come out with too much info...

1500 BOBx
666 refereum (?) its just a referral link
and 1 ETH ANONYMIZER

I don't remember registering to any of these airdrops
any help would be much appreciated!  Grin Grin

maybe your wallet is on their list as practice token sending through smart contract.
I heard some incidents and complaints before that's why some of the users are changing their wallets due to this kind of incidents.
I personally think it's still fine rather than some of your coins were stolen.
If I were you, change your MEW wallet and start over and you're fine.

Apparently they have been automatically cleared

As for me, I definitely remember the 1 ETH ANONYMYZER (or something) in the wallet. I took no action but today that's not there anymore.

No sign of transactions either

That is so normal . I have some many "random" alts popping in my wallet .
You probably don't remember but you might have participated in one of its airdrop . There are two reasons why google are not showing any information about them .1) the coin is dumped already  2) the coin is still to be listed by the exchange .
If it is just a shit coin , it is going to stay in your wallet and you cannot do probably anything about it.

If nothing comes up on google search about those tokens/coins then they are a scam 100%.Avoid any links that they may redirect you too.
Will steal your cookies or infect your system with malware's(if outdated).

You can see people whining about losing their ethers(and tokens), probably they were a victim of a similar trick.Be extremely careful, this is turning out to be the most common method being used by the hackers.

I think you just received some spam tokens that are worthless. People try to insert their referral links into some contract names Cheesy But maybe not all tokens are spam, because sometimes you receive free coin as an Ethereum holder!

Well if that's the case I think some are really giving free tokens without further notice I think this is for them to gain further hype for their projects and mostly freebies was like by everyone, And by doing this will simply raise awareness for this certain tokens and projects, But there are a bunch of scam ICO out there so be careful and yes it can be spam tokens that is really worthless.

If you are aware about the recent hacks of the ether wallet then you should know that this could be another phishing attempt or trojan that may or may not compromise your wallet itself.

Its a simple fact that if you are getting something in your wallet which etherscan itself dont understand and there is no clue whats it all about then just report it to the MEW support. They will take the action if they get multiple reporting done against those coin.

You should take all the precautions steps for things which you dont understand. They are probably not airdrops.

I saw some of new tokens marked as spams when I check it with etherscan. Idk whether this will give a bad impact to the wallet or not but this sor sure very annoying.

These are only shit tokens. BOBx token is Bob's repair fake token, refereum only worth $0.012 atm, and 1 ETH annonymizer? What a really shit token.

some people also get token same as you get
they say it a random airdrop from bob repair
you can check here for more https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bobx-tokens-whats-this-token-3361696
No, it's not Bob's repair token. The real token is BOB.

can i just destroy them?
and i still dont know how i even got them
You can't because the only party that can destroy the token is only the contract creator, But i don't even think if that will be possible to do. The only way to deleted your shittoken through send them all to the default ethereum address or burn it.
Someone has sent it randomly to the all of registered ethereum address in the network.

I had one also. I have nous token. I don't know what that is. I can't remember any airdrop with that. I dont know if its worth anything.

I googled it and i see that its worth .00015 eth. I didnt see any information about which exchange sites they're available at. I am looking to sell them already

If the coins you received is worth something, its better you look for exchange sites you can sell it to then go ahead and sell them. Its free money.

If these tokens are the tokens of erc20.
Then you can sell them on a decentralized exchange.

Looks like all of them are fake tokens, i also received bobx but that does not seem to be the real token as the token they sold in their ico was called bob, so i do not know what exactly is the purpose of these fake tokens, can anyone tell me how we can delete them from our wallet?
