We tested Hex16A2 with 10 sample chips that we received from Avalon
tomorrow we will get 1 sample board to be populated friday and tested during the weekend.
Only 1 chip setup have been tested so far.

is the design tested yet? i have 10 gen2 chips arriving next week and nothing to mount them in.

tbh.: that makes the piece of hardware more stable and effective. so why not ?Does not even look that bad at all. As you might have seen on the Gen1 Boards.

What are the advantages over the drill bit?
None that I can see.....................
Bitfury's use less power I think & probably cost less too
Seeing that it takes twice as many chips to equal the Drillbits

Given the chips being auctioned are in California have you considered finding an assembly house in the US to reduce tax and shipping costs for people over here who might be interested?
I'm pretty sure they will ship from China like the mini's from the last auction.

after the transition your order is second for HEX16B ,so You'll be on the first day production .
would these work with less than 16 chips - say 10 chips? if so i imagine specifiic positions only and perhaps a jumper might be needed if they function like a chain..?

We'll test and most probably will remove part of them.On Avalon gen1 We put 8 to 10

Marto, did you estimate how high we can OC this board ? The 100% OC is possible like your HEX16A ?
