Hmm, I do think the current panic is not fully justified, but seeing prices getting that low I actually start becoming a buyer of Goxcoins Smiley
Happy to pay a 20% premium on Goxprices or 0.3 BTC per GoxBTC. I'm an old time member of this forum and did quite a lot of successful trades here, but can also go first if you have a good reputation or do escrow. Please PM me for details.

Looking to buy small amount (about 5 or less) MT Gox BTC Face to face only in NJ.
Will pay USD (current MTGox value +$20)
or Real BTC (MT Gox BTC for 30% of real BTC)
or altcoins

2 days ago I get an email from Mtsux telling me that my account has been verified.  Now I can dump good fresh cash into their stay out of jail fund.  I think I'll put it into Bitstamp instead.

Buying 10 GoxBTC for my real 3 BTC but only the following way (since I do not have Gox account or wanna make one):

1. Only very known forum users matter, anyone who just joined or is not highly active do not bother contacting me, thanks!
2. There will be no Gox > Gox transfer of BTC, coins you owe me will be paid out to me only if Gox enables BTC withdrawals.
3. I will post my BTC address here so anyone can check if I received 10 BTC or not (if not, scammer accusation is guaranteed).

As I wrote in the other thread, I'm buying GoxBTC (or selling realBTC) at 40%. 1 realBTC minimum, 10 realBTC max. PM for details. Very limited time only (about 1 hour from this posting), I'm unavailable after that.

Edit: No longer available (no one took this offer). Might make another offer next week.

My assumption is that the price at Gox over the last day or so, $220-$300, is the price we will see at Bitstamp et al within a couple of weeks.

It is a huge risk to pay even 50% of a BTC for Gox BTCs given they may never be cashed out and given that it is not Gox that is under-priced, but the others that are over-priced.

A Gox BTC is surely worth no more than a 30% gamble, and even then only when the price at Gox is at the low end of the figures quoted.

It seems the buyer is taking a huge risk when paying up to 70%. Seventy percent of $620, or over $400, seems insane.

But then I thought the idea of BTC at $1200 was ludicrous, so what do I know.

Why is everyone still trading at ~70% ? Don't you buyers of goxcoins see that you're just facilitating a massive riskless arbitrage between gox and other exchanges for those stuck in Gox?
At current prices (say $300 at Gox and $620 at stamp for simplicity), someone at Gox with 1 goxbtc can simply buy 0.7 realbtc from one of you, instantly converting his $300 to $435, while you get the short end of the deal, taking all the future gox risk for yourself, while also reducing your current profits.
How can you agree to such a shitty bargain, with no great assurance of payback in the future? IMO, you could easily squeeze these gox guys much more and bring that discounted price to a more fair level, ie. about 48% using above prices (it's much lower using real current prices).
SERIOUSLY, bring your bids lower down to the 40% level, we shouldn't be giving ourselves the short end of the stick here!

My thoughts exactly.

There was a reason why GoxBTC-USD price was the highest for long, there is a reason why it's 250$ now.

Anyone who is trading virgin BTC for 1.3 of Gox's BTC is taking a risk that's worth substantially more.

Yes I thought that 2

0.7 to 1 is a 43% profit if gox re-open withdraws

I don't understand why people would stay in cash on gox instead of selling their goxBTC at 30% cut because it has to be safer that except a legal bailout after legal action

I have decided to give up my gox account. Can't stand the pressure and stress waiting for good news anymore.

I've got 6 goxBTC for sale in return for fiat. or realBTC.

I'm loacted in Freiburg, Germany. Therefore SEPA transfer would be the quickest and easiest way, if that fits to you.

my offer:
3 goxBTC per 1000.-€ resp 333.-€ per 1 goxBTC.
   - - - or - - -
exchange rate 66,67% realBTC/goxBTC.

Any smaller amount instead of 6 goxBTC in a single transaction will be fine as well.

to establish some trust I'd suggest to switch to whatsapp/skype/facebook + eg copy of driver's licence vice versa.

You're talking about fiat when you should be talking about Bitcoins. Fiat price doesn't matter because of the amount of time it takes to get cash into Gox to begin with.
It's a very likely possibility that Gox will allow Bitcoin withdrawals to external addresses, the question is just 'when'. Speculating 90%, for example, implies a full-faith mentality that Gox will be up and running shortly.

When all is said and done, one person will have more Bitcoins, and another will have less. It's all in how you value risk.

I would love to see Mt.Gox not starting withdrawals at all and just going bust or whatever, just to see these idiots burn. And, I wish I had money/BTC on Gox now, this opportunity is so, so undeservingly sweet.

That's a bit childish, don't you think?
