for me social media like facebook, twitter and youtube site is one of the reliable sources to know the trading info. in addition also bitcointalk forums make one of the reliable sources that may be used as another reference.
Social Media networks have been serving as an platform to know better about bitcoin as well other digital currencies. Other than this just Google-ing helps with several links through which can get regular updates about the cryptocurrency and the market situation.

I'll suggest you two web sites. I personally use them to know about the news as well.

https://www.coindesk.com/ and https://cointelegraph.com/ web sites are both good and always giving the correct news, not scam. Their sources are reliable and you can trust them without doubts.

Yes, I subscribed to them in their facebook page and they are always updated. Also i read from newsbtc and aside from them I also read on twitter posts about the cryptocurrency news.

Facebook and Twitter page update will not be identified always with the proper to you. Please choose the email notification about the news update. I prefer coindesk than cointelegraph to get the more information and blockchain updation and then price chart also added properly.

I've updated the OP with the new suggestions. Thank you very much for all your replies.
I will keep doing this, as you keep suggesting more sites. I've seen that there are some differences already in the quality of the sites suggested, although most users agree with the same sources. Please note that I'm just adding them, and trusting on the suggestions offered.

I follow mainly https://www.coindesk.com/ but sometimes they just print speculations and incorrect articles that may not be valid. I follow my local exchange news too coinsecure and unocoin that have more reliable news articles. I follow reddit at times but they are mainly user made posts/news articles.

Here are some extra sources:

www.newsbtc.com/

i just want to say that bitcoin.com is the Roger Ver propaganda machine.
and also cointelegraph and cryptocoinnews are the worst news website in the history of mankind.

coindesk is not all good either. but it is better than others.

if you want news then stick to bitcointalk, reddit and there is also a Press Board which is for news links on bitcointalk.

but news is not going to tell you which way price is going to go though.

Hi guys, I still haven't tried to do any trading for now, but I'm considering it. I know that is very important to have a good source of news regarding crypto, because some important ones can influence the price of a coin a lot. Where do you guys normally try to gather your information?

For example, I saw the BTC price reaching around $5000 and then dropping like crazy to $4100. Only after seeing that, I heard what was happening on China (their new law's regarding ICO and exchanges). I'm sure that had a big influence on the price change, but I only saw it to late.

So like I said, where do you guys normally gather your information. Are there some top rated sites, that everyone use?
I'm not asking for anything exclusive, and I know I can start googling it, but I'm sure that from all the hits I get, some will be reliable, and other not so much, that's why I'm asking what are those few good sites, that you have already selected.

EDIT: I will be adding the suggestions to this post

https://news.bitcoin.com/
https://cointelegraph.com/
https://www.coindesk.com/
https://coinidol.com/
I always reading different articles in cointelegraph.com . I can say that the cointelegraph.com is one of the most reliable site that we can learn many knowledge about trading. Cointelegraph really help me to earn bitcoins in trading.

The most reliable source of news for me for trading is either the cointelegraph or through twitter which is constantly updating what are the recent news of these altcoins. And they are usually the first give news and update of what's coming next of these altcoins so for me those are the most reliable ones up to date.

a list of websites that you add is the best present. I think you can get a lot of important information and also credible around the world of trading. but you forget that in this forum also we can get a lot of information about trading, look at it and try visit sub trading forum. there you will get a lot of information and many people who always visit at any time. so try to grow and communicate in this forum, because with these steps you can help develop this forum quickly and will certainly get better.

I like to listen various podcasts about crypto's. There are plenty to choose from and some are almost on a daily basis. It is a nice way to get some different opinions and hear about background stories is my experience.

some of this sites are my favorite sites, especially coindesk

In addition, twitter official and blogs from the official site are great for finding news sources

I also find myself in search for btc news rather than news that is happening IRL. It's not that i don't care but sometimes most news are so redundant in our place like hearing of one political personality and that would go on for how many weeks on the headlines. But at least some of this sites are useful for btc enthusiasts for more knowledge and on other helpful tools in managing bitcoin.
