Just as a follow-up, I purchased 10 moruga seeds from TECSHARE.  I gave 7 of them away to a friend that grows all sorts of peppers but kept 3 for myself.  Happy to report that 1 out of the 3 has sprouted and appears to be growing strong.  The only thing I did was cover the pot in saran wrap to keep the moisture and heat in until the seed germinated.  Not sure if this is proper technique but I found the suggestion on a website and it seemed to work.  Hope it helps someone.

I have a couple Jalokia and Moruga pepper live plants sprouted for you guys! I don't have many yet but more are sprouting now. I currently only have a small handful of plants (like 2-4) so for this first batch I will be taking offers on these in BTC/LTC, then later I will set a price once more are available. If you would like one just post a bid including shipping cost (USPS priority, US only). Thanks for looking, and please let me know if anyone is interested in other live plants for the spring!

Thanks for posting guys, much appreciated. Please do post that recipe, I am sure someone here will use it. Also that is good advice about washing your hands before taking a whiz. If you handle fresh fruit wash them THREE TIMES! Scrubbing them in olive or veggie oil works well too. I wore gloves and my hands STILL burned just from taking them off. You might think it is all off but you won't know for sure until it is too late Wink

FYI I have a HUGE seed library. If you want veggie seeds post what you want here and I will let you know how much. They are all non-GMO heirloom seeds.

I put 3 peppers in a pot of chili, was amazing, definitely clears out your sinuses.

WARNING: Do not go to the bathroom without thoroughly washing your hands first after touching these.

I'll be back for more soon Grin these aren't gonna last long

PS - I have a great hot wing recipe I like to call "radioactive lemon pepper" if anyone wants to try it

How much for the hot salsa?

I checked and I have a SINGLE can of Jalokia/Jalapeno salsa from late last year. It is not the best since its late season and full of green tomatoes. I would be ashamed for this to be the first ever salsa I have sold xD I will list some after the first harvest. If you would like some regular jalapeno salsa I can do that for you. Send me a PM with approximately how much you would like and we can discuss it. Thanks!

I'll keep checking back for the Jalokia Salsa. My mouth is watering just thinking about it Tongue Tongue

Are you able to ship to Europe, with extra shipping costs? And if yes, how much would they be?

Sorry I can't guarantee any seeds or fruit will arrive to people in the EU considering strict custom regulations for not only fruit but seed. If you can prove otherwise for your country I would consider it but the chance for seizure is high.

Also known as the ghost pepper.  Is it true that the heat level can vary quite a bit?  What is the optimal climate for growing? Tropical?
yes the heat can vary, usually most dependent on how much you water it. I try to water minimally for extra heat. the best climate is tropical with direct sun, but it does fine in the summers in the Midwest here. Seed it in a baggy with a paper towel in a warm place until it sprouts. Get it to seedling size where the stem stiffens up a bit and then acclimate it to the outside in shaded light. If you put it right out into the sun without time to acclimate the sun will fry it.

Are you selling any peppers? I bought some last year from another user and have been looking for a new source since!
I have some diced peppers I canned in oil and maybe a few jars of extra hot salsa. I can reserve you some fresh fruit but it probably wont be until summer seeing as there is about a foot of snow on the ground right now here and running lighting warm enough to fruit one of these inside would be cost prohibitive.

Side note: if I got some of those scorpion peppers would anyone have interest in seeds/fruit for the end of this season or next season?

Yes I'd like some fresh ones. I'm too lazy to grow them myself and they're hard to find fresh.
