That's right.
The main reason is that money is very sweet.
Many people want to get money instantly as soon as possible, with greediness, with very high expectations, and worse, without enough knowledge. What they can accept is that other people promise something very legit and high money to offer instantly.
And most people will not care about the risks that may be got or even they don't even care to learn and research about that.
In this case, money will make somebody blind about the logic and they put aside realistic because what they want is instant money to get as soon as possible, as high as possible to be successful as others without paying attention and carefulness that they are probably the victims of scams.
Actually, there have been many notices, warnings, and also experiences about being scammed with this similar scam investment, but what happen in this world is that there are still so many victims, most of them are newbies or even everyone who don't want to learn, don't want to read, and also don't wnat to use the logic.

The truth is that many fell to crypto and Bitcoin scams because they lack knowledge. More than anything, they are convinced by these scammers and their offers because they are not aware of what Bitcoin is, its basic dos and don'ts, its market, the movements of its price, and so on. Some may not even be greedy. Take, for example, those who are scammed by somebody who introduces himself/herself to be a staff and offers support assistance. Take, for example, those who are reading how-to guides or watching tutorial videos who were clueless of the wrong details provided.

The reason why some people fall victim in scammers on the social media is because of the influence portrayed by the scammers. Some of them will be posting that they can earn this amount of money in just 2-3 weeks, but in reality, they are just pyramiding. Wherein you will invest your money to them, invite more members so that the money they are holding will grow and you will profit a percent per invite. Only invest what you can afford to lose.

There are so many reasons why people fall victim to scammers on line, one of these reasons is the  despiration one has on a particular course. When one is so despirate about something, they are always ready to do anything possible to get that thing that they need.So they go about searching for it online, and when they see something similar to what they were looking for, they don't ask information or research about that thing they've seen on line, and better still, they don't bother what the outcome will look like, they just pay money, and in return they see that they've been scammed.

People got scammed clearly because of their own selfish desires and eventually because of their greed of money.
Not always the case you know, the greed for money is not usually what scammers always prey on, although it is majorly what scammers take advantage of, but some people who are not even greedy for money have been swindled of their cash and details for fraudulent purposes. Scammers devise new methods daily and there are various types of scams and cybercrimes currently.
@Rruchi man, you're right but they believe most people is that everybody that is a victim of scammer was victim out of them being selfish or hungry for making more money which is always not the situation because we have some people who are a victim of scammer due to their lack of knowledge and awareness about the scammer strategies. Meanwhile, I am once on that road.

People fall victim to scammers because of is what they have in mind to do, and what the scammer present to them is what they want to hear. you can only be scammed when the thing you need is present as information. And another thing that makes people to be curious about joining online investment that's manage by scammers is because of greediness and multiplication of assets, finance, like gaining two time's of invested capital at a spot.
Or it maybe that the people they want to believe are telling the truth, when they are not. People got scammed clearly because of their own selfish desires and eventually because of their greed of money. They all want to have the entire return of investment without showing extra efforts to make the investment succeed first. And usually, people fall for scams because they focus on shortcuts to be instantly profitable without doing the hard way.

That is true. If one person does not have sufficient knowledge on crypto, he will be forever prone to scams and even hacks as well. However, in many cases, the person who falls for a scam does so because of the psychological techniques employed by the scammer—and not because of some personal flaw. There are these universal principle of influence that scammers use to persuade people to do certain things. These includes: Reciprocity, Consistency, Social Proof, Liking, Authority and Scarcity. Lack of knowledge about crypto itself is what makes many people deceived by crypto. People tend to be tempted by the lure of huge profits that will be obtained compared to learning crypto itself. that is what is called rash and hasty in acting because they are already tempted by the promised benefits. Why scams keep happening because there are opportunities and people still don't understand about the crypto world. so don't blame crypto and create a bad image of crypto in the community because it's their doing itself but in the name of crypto, so be more careful.

I would add a few more reasons here and these are despair and lack of knowledge and experience with money and finances.
Despair and financial problems can push a normal person into a financial abyss and force him to seek a solution from scammers.
Crypto is a new and unexplored area for most people and that makes it easier to deceive them.
Lately in the media and on social networks there are a lot of stories about people who got rich on the crypto and ordinary people begin to believe that anyone can do it, and then they want to invest in the crypto without thinking about the consequences and possible dangers.
Emotions, greed and despair are not very good allies.

With the level of urge and love for money by many regardless is something of concern to the general public. If not, how can someone jump into a sugar_coated offer of something you're told would give back double of whatever amount you put in within a day, two or week without inquiring about the legibility and credibility of such scheme or system.

The height of greed, impatient and laxity amongst many our generation makes it a lot more easier on different basis for the very few who think themselves to be smart and astute to be able to scam them.
Your laziness to go into research about a thing or system introduced to you makes you seem gullible to scam (that's the price you pay).

Many a person wants to make it big but not ready to give in the time, energy, and resources needed for such dream why wouldn't they fall for those that have decided to put in all the above.

It takes a patient, intelligent and non_greedy smart/hardworking person to be able to scam an impatient, gullible and greedy person.

It's just like a bumerang!

I wonder if you have a data to back up this statement, it seems you're exaggerating only as I don't believe every seconds people are being scammed. They're already heard and learn scammer to trick someone, obviously they're should know those red flag. If they just got scammed everyday by same way they got scammed previously, they wouldn't change even someone already teach them. It's just like teaching to wrong person, it's useless.

What do you want to hear from someone who regularly deceives people? The author of this topic, considering himself the most cunning, is paraphrasing someone else's information, passing it off as his own. Of course, his thoughts are directed to the implementation of new and more cunning deceptions, without providing genuine sources.

There are lies, damned lies and statistics. MTwain
There is a bit of all that, but there is probably often a high dosage of both naivety and ignorance at the core. The former lays out the groundwork for scams to take place, accepting random people’s tips (and tricks) with ease, and forgoing little to no questioning on the matter, but rather standing in awe of how providence has crossed their path.

The latter, ignorance, is not necessarily related to education, but more so to a certain degree of inexperience on the given field, and perhaps in live in general, priving one from being able to distinguish the feasible from the non-feasable, or at the bare minimum, not driving them to cross-reference the "offer" they encounter, but rather taking it for granted it’s benign.

Greed and being desperate.

We're at the time where a lot of global events that turning the economy too bad. First is the pandemic, this had laid off a lot of jobs and too many employees have been affected.

Next is the war which is causing high prices for oil and a domino effect for all the goods that we consume.

While people are looking for ways to make money desperately, too bad that the scammers are taking advantage of that weakness of these people that are in need. As they lack knowledge and experience, they're too easy to fall for the scammers trick.

Even if someone taught them, you wouldn't see any change if they only got scammed every day by the same methods. Despite your best efforts, it makes no difference.

Instead of calling it greed I would prefer calling it desires, scammers knows that investors desire is to make money too then they turn that into weapon of mass destruction on newbies that know too less about crypto.
Brother is not desire it's totally greediness, most people who are victimized of scam, they fall into it because of they want achieve more than their capitals, Which we know it's very rigid before you could see a investment platforms that give in return hundred percent of investment, newbie's via investment likely wants to make huge profit for any little invest they adventure into, so the primary objective of those investors is to earn high and that's the reason while they fall into scamming platform for investment at times. Because what will trigger you to invest is the percentage of the investment or profit that's involve.
I too can call it greediness, but nearly all people have this characteristics, this is the reason we may not totally call it greediness, but it is actually greediness. But we can also call it lack of knowledge and experience, because some people do not have the nature of greed but yet they got scammed because they think it is opportunity until they are scammed and know that they are greedy, but knowing about scam which is most important is required because anyone can be scammed if not having the knowledge and experience.

In my opinion those who got scammed thought Bitcoin is a n easy way to get rich quickly. People to date think making money online is very easy whereas it is not. There are tons of videos that can be found on YouTube and articles on website to support this theory.

Another issue is lack of awareness, knowledge, patience and above all being greedy will alway lead anyone to scammers.

OP, everything is down to "Greed". No matter how anyone wants to view it, it boils down to greed of the victim. Every scam attempt will always present the victim with mouth watery giveaway or what they stand to gain and that's what gets the victim interested. If anyone has that mindset of not being interested in freebies or free monies, they hardly fall victims to scam. Hacks can be different and may not result from greed because most times the victims don't even know when the hacks happen. But scam is a resultant effect of greed. Control your greed and you will see how difficult it will be to get scammed.

People find it hard to believe that nothing good ever come with ease, they fail to set some rules for themselves, if things are that easy everyone in the world would have become rich, so why trust people saying they have a way for you by doubling your money or a project that can make you rich without you been suspicious? This should be the reason to do research on your own.
