Your list is good and I will say there are endless reasons or situations that will warrant you to sell your coin especially when it becomes your last resort for finance. I might consider selling if I need urgent finance and is the only one accessible by that time.
That is the reason why we are doing investment in the first place in order to solve the future problem. Health issues still remain the top priority that will warrant me selling some portion of my Bitcoin regardless. Other issues might seems minor to me and I will look for another alternative to get those issues solved.
As long you do still have other ways or options for you to solve out those minor problems without the need on spending or selling out your Bitcoins then you must do on that way but if you dont have any options

or ways for you to resolve out such problem then its not bad to sell a part of those yet these are the things which do savings do play on these kind of part or situation. This is why as early as we could or
on the time that we arent still experiencing hardships then it would be always ideal that you should consider on having investment and savings at the same time.

We dont know on what comes up next because there are lots of things that would be encounter ahead.

Any urgent happenings and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities will consider us to sell our bitcoins or possibly a part of them. Apart from these reasons, I have a goal to reach this 2025. I am hoping to profit a significant amount because I want to relocate once again and then travel from place to place. Of course, I need to have a stable income too, maybe an apartment will do. I learned a lot last 2018 when I mismanaged my assets, this time I want to enjoy life but at the same time, I will check my assets in bitcoin, crypto, and stocks daily.
The only way that one can use bitcoin is for an Emergency and that is the best, those who have bitcoin are Known to be difficult to obtain, for me it has been with a lot of sacrifice and I don't even have one, I'm not ashamed, I can't deny that I have sometimes had to use a part of bitcoin, but Sometimes extra money is needed and bitcoin is always there, the main thing about this is that it has to be seen as a great investment and not as the easiest way out, The less the bitcoin is used, the better, because that way you save a lot.

I In summary, there are just two broad reasons that will make me sell my coins, first emergencies such as sickness and loss of a source of income, and better opportunities that will give me more financial backup to buy more bitcoin.

There should be only one reason why you should sell you Bitcoin and that's to take profit because it has reached your initial target. The taking of profit must not be a final exit from investing in Bitcoin but just to secure your profit for that bull cycle while you wait on the market to correct before reinvesting and getting more Bitcoin than you initially had
Apart from this, always make sure you have enough savings to handle other life situations so you won't have to sell your Bitcoin portfolio when you get into financial difficulties. This is why we're recommended to only invest in Bitcoin with spare money and those are money you won't need for a very long time.
If you invest with urgent cash then that's when you'll have most of the problem you listed. You should have insurance for health issue, education and your business money should be different form your investment money.

I think in this life we must have savings for health, for home repairs and for other unexpected costs, that's why so many people participate in insurance programs.

so that way we will not sell the bitcoins that we have because we have savings for health and so on.

but of course there is nothing wrong with selling bitcoins in an emergency because that is our right.
and indeed that's the point of investing rather than not investing at all.

Health Issues: Health is wealth, which means without health a man is not wealthy. If there is any sickness that needs money for me or any member of the family to seek medical help, I might decide to sell some of my bitcoin holding to cover the bills. It is only the living that can enjoy the benefit of any investment.
When you invest in bitcoin to improve your life, selling it when you're unwell is common practice. Therefore, if you're sick and your only option is to sell your bitcoin, I believe you should do that as soon as possible in order to improve your health and continue working hard for better days to come.

Loss of source of income:[/u] A loss of a job or business might force me to sell some of my holdings if I exhaust all my savings. I and my family needs to be alive to enjoy our investment, so we need food and other basic needs to survive. it will be painful but it will be better than begging or taking loans.

Yes, you're correct, but keep in mind that this is the reason why we always want to invest the amount we can afford to lose. If you want to feed your family, selling some bitcoin to do so isn't the right course of action. Instead, you should be patient and look for other solutions, holding on to your investment for a later time since the family can find other ways to at least get some spare change for feeding.

bitcoin is a valuable asset that we must maintain until we reach the target we are aiming for, but if we are attacked by such a thing, health problems and so on, of course we will be forced to sell it.

but if there really is an opportunity in the real world like there is a big business and so on I think selling bitcoins is the right choice.

It can be said that bitcoin is a good investment, providing a life-changing opportunity for many people, something other investments are difficult to do. But if we have any problem related to health and human life, then bitcoin is not the preferred choice. Moreover, if you can find a business that is more profitable than bitcoin and less risky, don't hesitate to make a decision. Remember, the ultimate goal of investing or working is to make a lot of money and change lives. I invest in bitcoin because it's my only chance to change my life, but if I'm lucky enough to get something better, I certainly won't miss it.

Business opportunity: Many people in my country are migrating to developed to seek better employment opportunities. Many of them are cheaply selling their properties and businesses. If I have the opportunity to buy a cheap house or business, I might decide to sell some of my bitcoin because the profit from the business will help me to buy more bitcoin in the future. House rent is expensive in my country and it is really taking a large chunk of my income. If I own a house, my house rent can be used to buy more bitcoin.

Unfavorable government policies: If the government of my country decides to ban the holding or use of bitcoin, I might be forced to dispose of them. I will not want to be hiding from law enforcement agencies or risk being arrested. I don't wish this to happen but if it does, I will have to take that hard and painful decision.
These two specific point make very little sense to me.

Business opportunity, yes, it could be an opportunity but who knows how it'll go. Right now we are ~1 year away from the next halving, we all know what happens during these times, unless the business opportunity is really something out of this world I doubt it'll ever worth more than keeping BTC for a little longer.

Government policies, no matter what they do if you store them in your wallet and not on the exchanges how could they seize them? How could they prove that's your wallet and you're still able to access it? Just keep them and if the price skyrockets move to a crypto-friendly country.

Despite being a Bitcoin-holding advocate I have my reservations about what I can hold my bitcoin against and to be more stable in your finances, you should make available emergency funds so that you can fall back on it when things are not right.

But then if such reserves are not available, your asset becomes the next saving grace in some situations e.g health challenges since Bitcoin can be liquidated at any time BTC might become a saving grace.

Saving should be prioritized and more important than investment because life is full of surprises, and investments are not always profitable. But there will also be cases where the amount saved is not enough and if the emergency involves one's health or life then we should not hesitate to sell our bitcoins.

What if you're saving is in your bitcoin ? what would you do ? you wait 'til pumped bitcoin ? or just sell 'cause your life is getting weak ? you still hold your bitcoin ? for me, my priority is my life because you can't sell your bitcoin if you died from getting weak. but in some cases you will lose your life if you just sell your bitcoin(got scared) because bitcoin is getting low. No wrong answer in this topic everyone have different life so don't comparing yourself to others and be careful or understand it before you do (think before you click)

Bitcoin is a volatile asset, it can only be an investment and is never a saving. When it comes to savings, only fiat money. Those who put all their money in bitcoin and call it savings, that's a big mistake. Savings are for emergencies, it needs to be a stable asset and won't depreciate in the short term.

I have been in this forum for some time now and becoming a bitcoin trader didn't interest me. I have been attracted to the idea of keeping my coins for a long time and selling it when it reaches my target. I have decided not to sell any of my coins until the bull run season no matter the pressure from any corner. But recently, I was just reasoning about my bitcoin holding because where a man's treasure is where his mind will be when a question dropped into my mind; What can make you sell your bitcoin? I thought about it and I came up with these few points.

Health Issues: Health is wealth, which means without health a man is not wealthy. If there is any sickness that needs money for me or any member of the family to seek medical help, I might decide to sell some of my bitcoin holding to cover the bills. It is only the living that can enjoy the benefit of any investment.

Loss of source of income: A loss of a job or business might force me to sell some of my holdings if I exhaust all my savings. I and my family needs to be alive to enjoy our investment, so we need food and other basic needs to survive. it will be painful but it will be better than begging or taking loans.

Migration: My earnings only permit me to save a little amount that I use to invest in Bitcoin. If I have an opportunity to secure a higher-paying job in another country ad I have to finance the travel with part of my bitcoin holding, I might sell some. I higher paying job means more investment in bitcoin.

Higher Education or Skills: If there is an opening for promotion in my organization and it requires getting a higher degree or specialized skills, I might consider selling part of my holdings. This is because such a promotion or job bring higher financial reward which can enable me to buy more coins.

In summary, there are just two broad reasons that will make me sell my coins, first emergencies such as sickness and loss of a source of income, and better opportunities that will give me more financial backup to buy more bitcoin.

you see that health issue that'll require us to sale off a property or 2, may it not come near us. Amen.

Your points are good, they're your choices so they're valid and I respect them but you see some of the points you mentioned??

I do not think I can sell of my Bitcoin for that, like the:
Unfavorable government policies
Migration
Acquiring a skill and the rest.

Yes these are few of my own choices and timings when I would go sell everything that I have in bitcoin wallet. However, I do have contingency plans for those situation where I’m already holding enough savings, health insurances, hood CIBIL score which is making sure that I’m getting good amount of loans whenever I need and also repaying if I’m taking any. This is securing my real world presence and that’s what I need so that I won’t be selling my bitcoins for long period of time to come. In all of them health is always priority followed by any family emergency.
Send your Bitcoin should be a bad decision is there is something more important you want to use it for. We all have other businesses we are doing apart from the forum and improving our business idea and expanding it should not be a problem. If we have some Bitcoin left in our portfolio, we can decide to sell it to get our business fixed so that we can have other sources of income apart from the small earnings we are getting from signature campaign. We need to make a better choice now that we can lay out hands on something that will be giving us some profits.

OP, you made good points. We are investing on bitcoin to have a better life tomorrow, so that when bitcoin price hits the bull run,one can sell off some fraction to do something one can benefit from. Therefore,if you are not healthy ? How will you secure your investment to the day that you will sell it. It is better to be healthy and broke than to be sick and rich. Adding more knowledge or income to you is something good,so if it is to sell to acquire knowledge or job,it is worth it. I have a plan to execute after selling some part of my investment by 2025. Why am I investing if I don't have plans for it.

The rule of investing bitcoin on our spare money is only found in books, because in reality most of us here even take minimal loans just to start with bitcoin, and for me that’s still valid and reasonable as long as you also have your main income that will pay your loan.
Investing with money you do not own is a red line I don't think anyone should cross.

We have Bitcoin enthusiasts here who are very optimistic about it and its future, this does not mean we should get complacent and expect our savings are 100% guaranteed. This is similar with security, you might never have a security risk for years using your personal wallet, but you shouldn't take it for granted in the illusion that you are entirely secure.

Always be wary of your security and stay mindful when investing.

I believe we should only invest amounts of Bitcoin that we would not need to liquidate in other to finance a real life need, more like spare money, which makes up only a small percentage of your total savings.
If you do this, you would not need to sell for health emergencies or any other financial requirement.

That's the textbook advice, but it's likely that many holders risk a little bit more than they can afford to lose with Bitcoin as their trust in it grows and when faced with a financial need, one might need to sell off.

All the reasons you outlined are valid and would compel pretty much anyone to sell, but for me that would only be a percentage of my holdings, I plan to always hold some amount of Bitcoin for years to come and never fully "cash out".
Right. The rule of investing bitcoin on our spare money is only found in books, because in reality most of us here even take minimal loans just to start with bitcoin, and for me that’s still valid and reasonable as long as you also have your main income that will pay your loan. However, in times you run out of money and you only have bitcoin in your wallet, I think selling a portion of it is inevitable especially if it comes with health issues or loss of main source of income. That’s the reason why we are advised to invest only on our extra money, so that we can also save for emergency funds intended to spend on unforeseen emergencies.

Preferably, having other money saved for these interests is very necessary so that we don't sell the bitcoins that we have. For example, education or higher skills. we don't need to sell the assets we have when we have spare money to pay for it. I think, the condition where I might actually sell the bitcoins that I have is when I feel the price is very high, or maybe because of the pressing needs and the savings that I have are not sufficient.
