Apart from ignoring the message, you can limit other users who can send messages to you. You can use the "Personal Message Options" feature to limit other forum members who can contact you.

I also received that message I just ignored it this is my first time receiving an offer like this so I just disallow newbies from sending me messages if you look at the account he has zero activity, and zero posts, and the account was created to spam us, I hope nobody takes the offer, he should just create an announcement so we can have a discussion on what's he's offering.
If the offer is good and he can discuss it people will avail of it if they are interested in it seems he has a hidden agenda which is why he cannot create a thread for this.

When messages comes from a newbie account or a red trust account, know that they are up to no good, if this forum permits it, I think it's better to start nailing such accounts in the head with more red trusts because it seems that they are intentionally spreading such messages to many members as possible, I also receive same messages from new accounts, someone please tell me if this is a good reason to paint a account with red colors?

This is a new scam attempt on the forum members and something must be down about it, can some, please someone should reply to my opinion and I can start sending screenshots of the PMs on the forum.

Someone said we should delete the messages, but this is a good way to get rid of bad actors on the forum too, if we just delete they will find another way, a bad actor on a forum will always continue the bad acting journey.

They also buy copper membership to avoid newbie related PM restrictions and send these types of messages to many users on forum in order to have any victim. Many members have received these types of PM but as you said best is to ignore them completely instead of replying to them but if many people are getting it report them so they can get a ban and can't fool anyone around here.

Why send you a private partnership message of that nature when they can create a thread for seeking partnership from members openly. Do they think you are that daft to full cheap to their tricks.

Well if not scammers, who do you think can carry out such act of spamming members message box with scam messages.

I personally find it very frustrating to receive unsolicited messages, especially those with questionable intentions. Sending a private partnership message instead of opening a thread can raise suspicions about the credibility of the sender.

To determine the exact motives of these people may be difficult, behind such spam attempts. most yes. be alert, avoid their deceptions and report any suspicious activity to protect yourself as a first step.

Goodnight, ohh Leo!!! 🦅
I also received a similar massage way back but it was about testing a platform which I never had any interest to... They sent the massage across; describing me as an active member -- Maybe it was done all in a bid if that'll attracte or entice me...lol
You simply need to overlook several massages as that will only lure you into getting your cash ripped off you... These things also proved to me that alot of peeps in here aren't to be trusted as Thier motives aren't in alignment with the forums'. Blocking PM's won't simply work for everyone since some of the OPs work through PM's (even from newbies)

The best thing you can do if you receive a PM from someone you don't know is to delete the message immediately. That's what I do, especially if he offers something that looks good to be true.

If he wanted to promote his company, he should have created an ANN thread about it instead of promoting it via PM. So, in this case, we have to be careful and thank @OP for warning about it.

We don't know his motives for doing that, so directly deleting the message is fine too.

If you receive a message like this better ignore since mostly this is tactics made by scammers and they want to deceive people by some
unrealistic offer which you regret you try later on.

If they are legitimate running a good business  for sure they create a thread and have proper explanation about their business model. They will not by send any personal spam message to random individual since I always take this as shady behavior.

For new guy in forum better ignore such message and continue to learn more information which is more useful to you.

The forum frown at people sending unsolicited messages and it is not welcomed by forum since it is easy for people to send multiple message to people, whether a new or an high ranked member here. This attempt can lead to temporary ban or permanent ban if someone is being accused of sending ransom messages to people without then being interested or asking for a dm.

When we are the receiver or sender, we need to be careful how we send messages to people that never asked for it beit for advertisment or passing an update. There are people that do not welcome sending them messages like sending others too. Being careful about random dm is important to avoid clicking on phishing links that could take away access to our account.

You can block newbies to send you messages. It depends on your view about that but if you are not disciplined with strangers' messages, blocking their messages proactively is a good prevention.

Code:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=UID;sa=pmprefs

Use this link, change u=UID to u=youruserID, then uncheck this option "Allow newbies to send you PMs."

Thank you for sharing this.

Click on Report To Admin and specify the reason whether it is advertising, spam or contains referral links / viruses, and the account will be banned.
The problem lies in the ease of creating these accounts, but I think that the more these accounts are banned, the higher proxy-ban IP addresses associated with them are, and therefore creating more accounts with them is not available.
If you get a lot of these messages and they are annoying, click on the option to block newbies to send you messages.

Already done with this and to annoying to receive such unwanted offers like this.

Ive received some messages like that and normally I just ignore it cause their status were newbies and often the messages are about joining some new projects, or some asking for some funds from you. Well normally these ahould be reported but we will waste time cause definitely they will just keep making new accounts to spam again.

Receive a couple of message like this and most of the time I ignore it but now I posted this to warn other new member of this community about the risk of this kind of offer so hopefully they didn't get any victim here since dealing with something thru pm is really shady behavior we can see here.

Thank you avp2306.

Although I received the message you quoted I discarded it, some people could fall into the trap if doesn't read your post. I hope you save somebody Smiley
Yes, that is why the OP brought up the topic in order to warn others to ignore similar PMs.

Although I did not receive such a PM, looking at the account with a copper membership is suspicious because purchasing a copper membership for a brand new user implies the user has some expertise with the forum.
Furthermore, there is a service section in the forum where the user can feel free to publish or market his service for other users to look out and comment on, however it is a scam if the user decides to spam other users in their PMs.

Usually messages like this come from newbie who very often use the PM feature to trick their victims. No need to respond to this type of message, ignoring is the best option.
Apart from ignoring the message, you can limit other users who can send messages to you. You can use the "Personal Message Options" feature to limit other forum members who can contact you.

This is why newbies related restrictions were imposed by @theymos to prevent them but still they try to do it with copper membership but yes you should not fall for it.You can receive lot of such spam PM's with lucrative offers to deceive you but don't fall for them.I have received something like that you are good trader and we want you into our group with very good returns but they are all fraud as we have discussed it many times.

So if more has received similar message then report it so such account get the treatment they should being banned on forum and as @hugeblack said they get evil points attached to their IP address which will prevent them from having alt accounts on forum.

This post reminds me of a similar message that I received in the past. It's always a good idea to seek advice from Bitcointalk communities since here fellow members may have had similar experiences and can offer guidance on how to handle it. If you're receiving unwanted messages that become more severe, it might be necessary to report the issue to the authorities. In such cases, I usually block the person responsible and report the message. Its best to ignore the messages and not respond to them. By not giving the attention they seek, they may eventually lose interest and stop bothering you/us.

I got a similar message on  May 28, 2023, from the same sender. I just ignored it, thinking it was from a newbie who did not know how to create a topic and was taught sending PMs was the best thing to do, but looking at the account, where a copper member is already activated, proves that the person knows exactly what he is doing, so I just went back and reported the message to the administrators. Now I see reasons why most users here on the forum restrict newbies from sending them messages; it's always a link to another site or a new form of spamming every day. I think I will just activate that.
Well this is not the first time I have seen something like this before but I do what is popularly said when its comes to case like this which is silence and just ignore if it doesn't concerns you. Like you I have also received messages like that but not from same user but from other users and just ignore it because its not relating to me in any way but I think I will also activate this P.M restriction from newbie to avoid having my inbox filled with lots of spam messages.

I do not expect personal messages, and I am always careful when reading if I receive any message, almost like I am taking care because sometimes it feels to me like just reading these kind of messages alone is dangerous. There are opportunities in the forum and there are plenty good people, but it is not without other people that have come to take advantage of newbies. This post is good because it warns newbies who will read it that the forum is not free from bad people that want to take advantage of their newbie status in this forum, so they should be careful.

I have received those kinds of messages alot and likewise some users here. Such pms are usually from newbies account and mostly they are flagged by the forum. I don't really give myself headache when I see such, the simple advise is not to click on the link sent to you because if you do that means you are directed to other places and your details reviewed which could lead to hacking of your account. Stay away by just ignoring to read or respond to whatever was said on the PM. Some solicit for financial support especially from countries that are in warfare but it may not be necessarily those countries because human beings are known to taking advantage of situation that are bad and pitiable to draw sympathy to them.

If you received a message like that, it would be better to report that person so he might get banned here, just ignore those messages specially if it is came from a new account because if that is legit then they should create a topic regarding that matter. Newbies are the main target form this kind of messages so always be careful and mindful, do not just click the link came from out of nowhere there so many scammers and hackers in this online world so better to keep ourselves safe.

Report him to moderators for sending you this message.
If he sent the same thing to many other members than this can be considered a spam and he can be banned.
