If you are onto gambling for the first time it's not possible to get addicted to gambling because you haven't tasted what winning feels like, you will be consumed by doubts and uncertainty.

But wait till you have a taste, win some money, that's where you start feeling like there is more if you keep digging, is this not where gambling addiction starts?

We have had a lot of conversations about gambling addiction, but I had the same conversation with someone close yesterday and this was my answer to him.

Do you think its possible to become addicted to gambling when you haven't win a dime or after you win?

I think addiction starts after you win, even if it's just once, that's when you start gambling recklessly and you also start betting higher.

maybe in a certain sense someone will feel excited when they get something from what they predicted, like they think they can do it all the time, and from there carelessness starts to come and continues until the person can finally control himself, or even drown in gambling continuously.
If you have won big,you will know that it isn't easy to control yourself after a first round of win.A man won 2 million dollars with a small amount of money, and after then,he started using huge amount to stake on five odds in which he was losing continuously because he is intoxicated with the amount he won previously. This continued untill the man finished all the money he won and he was now in a state of had I known.
If I should win big,I don't think I would spend the money recklessly again on gambling, even if I would gamble,I would make sure I make good investment with the money first, and the remnants of it,I would continue staking the way I was staking before I got the huge win.

Of course it is difficult because it is a game that has been arranged in it, there will indeed be a big win that can be obtained but whether it is comparable to what has been lost or used up because of gambling in gambling, only a few people can play by controlling their emotions or passions and consider gambling as entertainment not the main livelihood. Maybe many people who have lost their assets or property because of gambling think they can turn things around easily from losing to winning, but in fact it is not like that the victory obtained is not much and cannot replace the assets and property they sacrifice for gambling, but that is their right but they should be aware of the bad effects that will befall them because of gambling addiction, the bad effects of gambling will befall them themselves and even their families and relatives can be affected.

Even for people who are addicted to gambling they can have negative thoughts, whether it's stealing or borrowing here and there to bet back in gambling, that's one of the bad effects of gambling, in my opinion the first point in gambling is to consider it just entertainment, not more than that, if you lose, don't think of betting again with a big taurhan so that it can be replaced and even profitable.
It wouldn't be worth it if someone spent a lot of money chasing a win, especially since they wouldn't know when they would win. They may be able to keep trying until they win, but that won't happen continuously because what will happen is continuous win which could even cost them all their money. However, if they win, they can withdraw the money or even continue gambling, but it won't be worth it if they continue gambling because the next round doesn't guarantee they can win again like before. Only a few gamblers can realize that their winnings are due to their luck coming at the right time so once they get that win, they should immediately stop gambling and leave the casino.

For people who are addicted to gambling, they can do anything to have money and maybe they will steal, rob or borrow just to gamble. Maybe we have seen people like that in our neighborhood. And what's even better is that we shouldn't think of gambling as a place to make money but as a place of entertainment to relax while enjoying various gambling games.

Stories like that are very common and I agree with the OP on their theory, if a person only lost money when they gambled then it would be very difficult to get addicted to an activity that was always punishing them in such a relentless manner, however if you happen to win then you will begin to chase those profits and that feeling, and while there is nothing wrong to do this with moderation, this could eventually lead a person to develop a gambling addiction if they cannot control themselves.
People tend to be moderate with their gambling activities initially after they get some wins in their very first gambling session, but they start losing control as they start going deeper into the well of gambling addiction. If they go gambling for the second time after winning in the first session and then they lose some money, they might not be that much interested in gambling, but if they manage to win more in the second session, that makes it more difficult for them to stay away.

So, the first few gambling sessions are basically the deciders of what a person would become in the gambling industry, whether they will stop gambling, will become a gambling addict, or will become a responsible gambler and only use a limited amount of time and money on their gambling activities.
Something very similar happens with trading as well, in which if a person invest in shitcoins and they happen to earn money then they think that trading and investing is nowhere near as hard as they were told and they are incredible at it, then they keep investing pursuing those easy profits until they begin to lose, then they refuse to accept that they were lucky at the beginning of their journey and they spend the rest of their lives trying to recreate that early success they got.
Yes, you could really be having on the same emotion and impression on the time that you are consecutively making up some profitable trades on which it would really be that creating that sort of confidence on which it would really be that resulting on being that too careless which would really be resulting into different outcome or situation later on. This is where self control and moderation would really be that relevant on which you could really be able to handle yourself on different situations and do stick into your earlier plans and limits then you should really be just that fine. There are really just that people who do forgot on what they had set earlier and would really be making out some later regrets and telling this, those and that. This is why it would really be that always be considerable that taking or having a control would be always that relevant or something recommendable to do so. If you wont really be that mindful about this then expect on what are those consequences.

I think addiction starts after you win, even if it's just once, that's when you start gambling recklessly and you also start betting higher.

Did you know what contributes in gambling addictive, what contributes fifty-five percent of being a gambling addictive is that gambling addictive is something I know very well that have to do with, for  the first, before you become gambling addictive it does not necessarily mean that you have being wining gambling everyday by day, so if a gambler wins gambling everyday by day I believe that the person will not be addicted in gambling because sometimes it will be concentrating to enjoy his money instead of participating in gambling almost everytime, but when you loses more than wining, your target will be to gamble and recover all you have lost and that will make you to continue gambling to recover your loses in gambling.  So that is what makes people to be addicted in gambling.

For me, it's better that these people ended up in that experience. If loses now come, they will realized that everything is not that easy.

In trading, especially in the bull run, there are lot of people who think they are genious and ended up wrecked during a bear trend.

In gambling, there are lot of people who are also think they are genius but when losing streak starts, they don't know what to do.

    -  This is my experience when I first gambled here in crypto gambling. I deposited around 20$ because this is the minimum deposit amount in the casino. When my balance was only 2.5$, I was a bit hopeless there, as in, I no longer expected to win anymore. I accepted that my 20$ was lost. All of a sudden, my bet hit in a slot game where my bet was 0.2$. I won around 52$. Of course, it was my first time. I feel like I was really lucky that day.

But that's how I feel: what I win in gambling will make me lose. There's that feeling like I'm shivering, annoyed because I always lose. Until I noticed that what I won was gone and it was 20 dollars again, there was the feeling that I regretted and regretted that I should have stopped, but because I was greedy in those times, so the result was like that, I lost in the end.

Yep that's right, oversized gambling only relies on luck or hockey, as good or smart as you are in gambling games most likely can't beat the smart casino machines or slots that have been set up in it, the winnings they get are only because they are lucky. and also many people believe in tricks or patterns to get a win even though it's just an advertisement or marketing for gambling admins to make players more excited to get a big win.

And some people who play gambling cannot control their emotions in playing, they are thirsty for a high sense of victory so they can just spend a large budget to play without realizing they have entered into a casino trap that is unlikely to give them a big win that they can only get a small win that is not much. big or small they bet it will have the same bad impact on them, it's just that if they bet with a small nominal it will only slow down their defeat, and vice versa if they play with a large bet it will make them thirsty for victory, and I remind you again this is only about luck not about the great or tricks they have.
It's hard to beat the casinos because it's their business and we're just players who want to make a little profit from them. Especially if we play slot games that really rely on luck, we can never get big wins like big multipliers. That will probably only come to really lucky gamblers. We can only try to play as usual and not chase win because that will be difficult for us. One day, we will be lucky enough to get a big multiplier, which means we get a big win.

If they cannot control their emotions and become more eager to win, it will only accelerate their loss of money. They can increase the amount of their bets because by placing big bets, they can win a lot of money. But that's not how it happened because it only accelerated his loss. And it's best for those who want to gamble to start by betting an amount they can afford so that if they lose, the loss won't be big and they won't regret it too deeply. That's why when gambling, we must remember to only gamble with money we can afford.

I think that no matter how often they gamble even with a larger budget level it will have absolutely no effect on the final answer of winning or losing, especially for the winnings that they always hope for. Of course that's true, it's very difficult to get a win because other people who are also gambling are eager to get it, so the luck for winning is like rolling in turns. Therefore, as I said above, no matter how often you gamble and no matter how much budget you bring, it still won't be able to fully increase your chances of luck, and maybe even the opposite, instead of wanting to win but instead continue to experience such a big defeat.

Obviously, if they can realize that it is very difficult to be able to win even with the ways and methods that they think are good but always not in accordance with what is expected, with that alone we should already realize that this is really a matter of luck, and also vice versa it is true as you say if they have managed to win then it is better to quickly make a withdrawal, secure your winnings, because even if you play again not necessarily be able to win, but it is very possible that the money will be lost again. So yes stick to a realistic and rational mindset, this is not a place to make money.
Yes, we should reduce our budget and not expect to always win because gambling is difficult to win. Other people want to win too, just like us. And if we can reduce the budget, it means we care about ourselves and our money so that we can use it for other things. But if we do not intend to reduce the budget and still want or wish to pursue victory, we must be prepared for the risk of defeat that we might receive. We may be able to win, but we don't know when we can win, so we don't need to try too hard when playing gambling.

Reality is not always what we expect, especially in gambling because everything is determined by luck and the analysis we do. But we will get loss because without good analytical skills or luck, we will not be able to win. So we have to be able to think realistically and rationally that gambling is not a place to make money. We can only use gambling as a place of entertainment so that we can enjoy gambling and relax while gambling.

This usually happens and most of us have this kind of experience. We tend to feel lucky once we hit a good profit even if we experienced losing high amounts already. The common mistake is that we change our hopes and perceptions once we experience winning and we begin to disregard the risks believing that we could always win high amounts of profit.
Our winnings sometimes lead us to greed wherein we hope for a higher profit after winning a good amount. Proper control of our emotions is necessary especially if we recover from our losses. We should secure our profit than betting all of our funds again.

Most likely yes I have to agree with you. Once I have started getting wins, it would make me bet money over and over again. And if losing, some gamblers are making strategies of doubling their bet and keep doing it until they win. I have seen that strategies in some Youtubers regarding about that.

The first time I gamble in the world of crypto is Primedice. I usually use the faucet to load up my in-game balance to start playing and using those so-called strategies by the Youtubers but it didn’t work that long. When I am so desperate about winning, I have decided to load up my money to keep gambling but ended up losing all of it.

I am ashamed of myself years ago when I asked my friend to borrow $10 just to gamble because I was broke. I still ended up losing all of it but managed to pay him back a week after I got my small salary.

Even until now, my emotions would tell me to keep going to keep betting in Crash game in Roobet and other platforms. But at least I only bet extra money that I can afford to lose and not going all-in.

That is nothing but mathematics and if people do it without a huge bankroll, they are doomed to lose it all. People think that it is not possible when they toss a coin that one of the symbols comes 20 times in a row, but it is. It is just a question of how often or how long you run the experiment. There are interesting reports about casinos and how often they had a color show up in a row and the people placed their bets accordingly because they had this error in their head to think that if tails came 12 times in a row, it must be heads next time. For those newly placing their bets it is 50/50, for those doubling up every single round the chances if of course much lower when they do that 10 times or 15 times, but the chance is never zero that they can always fail even after 30 rounds of heads there is still a chance that heads comes again when the events are considered in one session and dependent.

The first experience was quite impressive because it managed to achieve victory at the end of the remaining balance but I am sure that from this victory you were the beginning of defeat which was caused by the belief of being able to win again and continuing to risk money.
Winning is just luck and you may not be able to have it again at a later time but anyone can prevent mistakes from occurring such as being more careful in spending money on bets and considering all betting options more so that losses can be minimized little.
One thing for sure that you have to know is that you should never expect to win again easily even if you have very good prediction because some betting options that look like they have a very easy chance of winning can actually make you lose lot of money.

Always be careful and never expect big things from gambling as long as you want to be luckier gambler.

Once the gambler wins a single time they surely expect that there's a piece of luck with us in that time so they keep continuously playing until they hit the jackpot again but its not as always happen once the player make a profit and win they keep playing and didn't too much notice that those winnings they've got already slowly losing their profit and back again to their lose capital. This outcome really depends on the player base on my experience winning is rarely happens in gambling so once I win I step back for a while and takes another time to play we don't need to get greedy and abusive with the luck sometimes thing is the reason why we brings back to get more losses.
By having that hope, they will continue playing but won't be able to get the jackpot easily because other gamblers also want it. They have to be lucky before they can get the jackpot, but they can't. But if they realize that they can decide to withdraw and leave the casino when they have won, that is a wise decision because we can see the situation. And yes, we don't need to be greedy for another win because we still have plenty of time to win. And there is no need to force yourself to pursue victory, which is difficult.

Your past losses may not be on the books, but they are in your thoughts. Should we expect gamblers' choices to be unaffected by past failures? Gamblers who dont review their mistakes set themselves up for failure.

It involves understanding why you lost and avoiding the same mistakes, not merely taking notes on winning tactics. Dont even mention money-wasting gamblers. They appear to have been brainwashed to believe they are unstoppable, only to fall further each time. This isnt a game. This is real life, and it has serious consequences.

The only mistake a gambler playing games of chance can make is risking more than he/she can afford to lose. It's important to understand that there's no other mistakes. If you lost a lot on Sunday, it's not right to think "I shouldn't play on Sundays, because I lose a lot on Sundays". If you lost a lot on a slot by a legit provider, it's not right to think "I shouldn't play on this slot" or "I shouldn't play on slots by this provider". You lost a lot because you staked a lot, and that's it. That was your only mistake.

I will say that it is very likely to happen or they do when they have experienced excessive frustration, with a small amount of capital they may experience a lot of defeat and they assume that maybe only with large capital they will be able to win, and well it happens as you say they will gamble with a bigger budget and obviously with a greater level of risk too but on the other hand they do not think at all whether they will be able to accept if they still lose in the end?  With such a large capital of course you will not be able to accept if you end up losing, and this condition is indeed feared. Furthermore, they will gamble no longer for pleasure but only focus on finding a very low percentage of victory. Well that's true, on average they also often say that, they lose on Sundays for example and immediately they talk that "next they shouldn't play on Sundays because they will lose again", like you said and that's really a wrong mindset, how can you think like that while gambling is absolutely not dependent on anything except just luck.

In my opinion, everything in gambling, especially whatever the result is, does not depend on anything except luck, simply put if you are lucky then you will win, so the point remains that there must be limits.
